As soon as the dark stallion made its way out of sight, Torment turned her attention to these 'brothers', as Father had called them. Both seemed occupied with the furry creatures that had been roaming around her feet earlier, and it wasn't long before she heard crunching sounds coming from both directions.
Her head tilted in curiousity as she saw the darker foal's hoof remove itself from atop of one of the squeaking creatures, and then the lightest of the three was busy ripping one apart with his mouth, creating a pretty red color across his face.
It looked rather fun, this crunching game they were playing, at it wasn't long before the little filly's wobbly legs began to tromp around, attempting to squish the little moving things her brothers' had already crunched upon. The little beasties seemed to catch on quickly and dart around her hooves as they landed, which made the game even more fun to play.
After a few attempts of snapping her jaw out, she finally managed to catch the lower half of one of the creatures in her mouth. It began to squeak and squirm, scratching and biting at her jaw terribly.
Startled at the pain she was beginning to feel, she shook her head and released her catch, sending the rat over into her brother's direction. Suddenly the game didn't seem as much fun as it had appeared to be.

The small creature came flying in his direction causing him to let out a whinny of distress as tiny clawed paws began scrambling against his neck in an attempt to steady themselves. He bucked, stumbling to the ground upon landing where he was met with sickening crunches as he squished the rats not fast enough to scurry out from beneath him. He learned quickly, pulling himself up onto his hooves before they could crawl over him, tossing his head to throw the one that had assaulted him out of his hair.
He turned, pale pink eyes narrowing as he glared at the dark one with white wings. Her. That had been her fault. She had tossed that thing at him. His lips curled back in a snarl as he bared his teeth at her, short tail switching back and forth behind him as if it were the tail of a predatory cat instead of that of an equine. He dared her to try that again... And even if she didn't, he'd get back at her for doing it in the first place.

He'd been happily munching on his procured rat when he heard the scuffle start with his sister. His head turned, swallowing the last bit of rat, as she started to try to get the furry thing away from her. It was a pointless endeavor since if she'd just bitten down harder it would have stopped. Hadn't she figured that out from him and their brother?
He grinned as the rat was tossed at his dark brother and he started with the same movements as her. The rat was quickly tossed in his direction and was met with an open set of teeth and a quick end to it's life. It's body hung from his jaws as he listened to his brother made a strange sound.
Setting the dead rat down he ignored the two of them and happily went about devouring his second victim.

She watched as the rat sailed into the air and landed upon the neck of her youngest brother, and began to crawl its way up to his black and pink streaked hair. He made an unfamiliar sound and fell upon the rats, and Torment's gray eyes watched on in shock as she saw him stumble to the ground.
That same tickle feeling crept its way back up her throat, and it wasn't long before she began to giggle, which quickly turned into a laugh. She hadn't meant to hit him with the rat, but all the same, she found his reaction quite amusing.
The colt quickly scrambled up to rid himself of the rats, including the one that had lodged itself in his hair. Her other brother seemed rather nonchalant about it all, and continued on his eating spree. Torment ignored the pang of jealousy she felt because her brother was able to crush and eat the rats while she had struggled to, and instead turned to watch her other brother, who had begun to distort his face. Another sound, a threatening one, was rising from his own throat, and sharp little fangs appeared from within his mouth.
Her instincts, as young as they were, knew this wasn't a good sign. Doing the best she could, she mimicked the growl, only hers coming out at a higher pitch, and she pawed the ground with one maroon hoof. If he wanted to fight, she'd give him a fight.

His tail, were it longer, would have been whipping behind him as threateningly as a loose flowing tail could. His pale wings spread to their full extent, fluffing out in an attempt to make him seem larger. He could do exactly as this... What was the word Father had used? This... Sister. Yes, he could do exactly what she was doing... Only he could do it better.
He snapped his teeth at her, growling softly once more before charging awkwardly forward with the intention of clipping her shoulder with his own. He dipped his head down at the last minute, trying to catch her leg with his teeth. He'd show her to throw things at him!

One of his ears flicked in the direction of his siblings as they started up again. He was starting to think they'd keep doing that and that it was pointless. Why bother wasting the effort? If those two beat each other up that meant he didn't have to and would have one less to take care of right?
Ripping the head off the second rat he munched on it idly as he stretched his wings. Father would be back eventually and he'd put a stop to it unless they put a stop to it first. That would be interesting. Looking at them for a moment he wondered if they'd crunch like th black furry thing and if they had the same red stuff in them.

A hiss escaped her lips as she watched the foal spread back his pink wings and charge at her. She hadn't expected him to rush at her, and was caught off guard as he lowered his head. She shrieked when he bit down on her leg and fell forward onto him, attempting to headbutt him, never realizing she had three horns resting on her small head. She'd show him she wasn't any pushover!
Letting out a frustrated squeak, Torment found herself growing unbalanced, and teetered to the side, getting ready to fall. Using her sharp teeth, she grabbed him by the back of his hair, hoping to take him down with her.

Ha! She missed! At least, he'd been certain that she'd missed when he'd stumbled to the side after biting her, legs not nearly as stable as he'd thought they were. Her head missed but her teeth found their mark, grabbing a lock of dark hair. He whined as he was pulled down along with her, tugging his head with a jerk against her grip only to realize that it hurt.
War! War! This would be war against this sisterthing. His legs flailed as he was pulled down, movement ceasing only when he realized that the way he fell would land him on top of her. Remembering the sounds that the rats had made beneath him he grinned wondering if she would make that same sound.

Gripping as tightly as she could to the hair in her mouth, Torment hit the ground with a thud. She realized that soon, if she didn't do anything, her brother would come tumbling down after her. Unfortunately for her, it was far too late to do anything about it but brace for the impact.
She let out a pained wheeze as the weight of the colt came crashing down on top of her, the foal's legs wriggling in the air for a few moments as his feathers smooshed themselves against her face, tickling her nose.
Grunting, she attempted to throw him off, but ended up nearly further tangled in the mess they had created. Irritated and struggling for air, the small filly leaned forward and began to n** and bite at the colt laying on top of her, hoping to persuade him by force or pain to get off of her.

Long dark legs carried the stallion's body out from within the forest and into the clearing. In his mouth, he carried a young fawn, the neck bleeding and torn from his earlier attack. Originally, he thought it would have taken longer to find enough food to feed three foals, but the injured fawn had found itself separated from its mother, and in its search for the doe, ended up finding Plague. Which worked out in the end for Plague, of course.
His aching gums felt relief as the warm blood from the neck seeped its way into his mouth, and he happily ran his tongue over the bits of flesh that hung from the wound, savoring the flavor.
He was almost to the grove now, and fully expected to see the foals waiting patiently for him, the dumb expressions still left on their faces from when he departed from them earlier. Instead, he caught sight of only two figures... one white one happily dripping with red coloring, and a larger one flailing on the ground... with two sets of wings?
His jaw clenched tighter around the deer's throat, his hooves digging into the ground deeper as he walked. There was far more discipline needed than he ever thought they'd require.
Snorting, he drew closer to the trio, eyeing the ongoing fight with interest. Though they may still be young and stupid, at least their basic instincts were kicking in, so all was not hopeless. As for his elder son, he seemed to be enjoying himself among the carcasses of rats at his hooves, which was a second pleasing sign. He would definitely be the strongest of the group, and would require special attention in his training, which Plague would be more than happy to oblige him with.
Letting go of the fawn, he allowed the dead deer to collapse on the ground, awaiting his presence to be noticed by his young followers.

The father went unnoticed. There were far more important things at hand... Things like making this sister suffer for tossing a thing at him. He snarled at her, swinging his head down so that he could bite at her leg again. Grrr. Why wouldn't she squish?
In all of the uproar Plague was not the only thing ignored. The rats had also drifted from his mind until one scurried up his leg, nipping at his flesh. He let out a terrible shriek as he scrambled to his hooves, wings flailing as he tried to pull himself free of his sister, prancing around to squish whatever he could as he did so.

Since he wasn't caught up in whatever his siblings were doing he noticed their Father's return. He had something that was dripping like those black things. Maybe it was the same sort of thing only bigger?
Tossing back the last of the second rat he shook his head and walked over to the doe. His siblings were still completely ignored except for a slightly twitch of annoyance as Taint made a horrible nose. Ignoring his Father also he leaned down and stuck his nose into the hole in the doe's neck.
The red stuff from the black thing tasted good but this tasted even better. He had no idea why though. Straightening up he licked his nose, smearing more of the blood around, and pondered if he wanted more of that too.

Torment continued to try to buck her brother from off of her, and just as she thought he was coming off, he starting screeching some horrible sound that hurt her ears and thrashed harder against her and the air above. What in the world was going on with him?!
He managed to struggle up and off of her, and she panted for air as he danced about, obviously upset over the small beasties that were crawling across the ground. The number of creatures seemed to have increased quite rapidly, and that's when she noticed the dark bruise color hooves that stood only feet away from her.
Taking a big gulp, her small gray eyes trailed up the form of the stallion, and into the hollow eyes of the one she knew as Father. He didn't look very pleased, and somehow, Torment knew that was a definite bad sign.

Tarnish was the first to notice his arrival; in fact, he had noticed Plague as the older stallion had been making his way towards the grove. It was good, him being able to sense another creature's presence, and even better the fact he was so eager and willing to have the taste of flesh and blood in his mouth.
Jagged teeth appeared from Plague's mouth as the mutant gave a toothy grin, watching his eldest colt approach the kill and begin to eat freely from it. He showed no fear, no hesitation, and Plague saw that as great potential for his future.
The other two, however.... weren't showing quite as much potential as their white brother. In fact, Plague closed his eyes and willed himself to remain where he stood, less he strike out and attack the other colt, who was trotting about like some haughty mare. It was hard to tell at this point, which of the remaining two took the most from Diabetia. The filly at least had the decency to notice Plague's arrival and look fearful of him, though she seemed to look fearfully at him whenever her gaze met his.
"Taint!" he growled out, tired of watching his youngest kin prance about in his silly dance to rid himself of the rats. "Quit acting like a fool and come eat. Torment, you as well. Fighting each other may build your strength and skill, but only when done properly. When performed as you two have been, it does nothing but prove your annoyance and clumsiness. Now, use your brother as an example and come eat."

He turned to snarl at the loud command barked at him, forgetting for a moment just who that voice belonged to. As his eyes trailed up to see just who he would have to attack this time he froze. It was the father and he looked angry.
He snorted softly, nose twitching as he resisted the urge to snarl again. To do so wouldn't be of any benefit to him. From the looks of things, it would only make father more upset. Had he been watching them the entire time? Why hadn't he stopped the sisterthing from tossing one of those foul little creatures at him?
Directions were being given and he tried to understand them. The word 'brother' was now to be associated with the one who's coat hurt his eyes. The word 'taint' was... It was what he had been addressed as? What did the other's mean?
He snorted once more, pawing at the ground before trotting towards the fallen deer. It had a strange scent, as did the dark red goo pooling beneath it. He nosed it carefully before drawing back, starring up at father with uncertainty. What was he supposed to do with this? He couldn't possibly expect him to do what brother was doing, could he?
