Andimus Prime
Yeah, I'm suprised at the lack of Gothic Players in general. Its a good game and I think its one of those games where GW hit the nail on the head when they made it.

I agree, but the problem is getting people interested. I'm gonna try to get some guys at my school into it. Maybe start a gaming club.

I don't even have a GW in my city (San Antonio fyi). The nearest one is in Houston, about 4-5 hours away iirc.

yes it does get annoying when GW don't have tables so i made my own which i keep in the cupboard along with all the other terrain. At the moment i have an Imperial fleet but i plan to get an Eldar one. So far in my fleet i have; 1 retribution class battleship, 1 apocalypse class battleship, 1 mars class battlecruiser, 2 gothic class cruisers, 2 lunar class cruisers, 1 tyrant class cruiser, 1 dictator class cruiser, 1 dominator class cruiser, 4 cobra class destroyers, and 3 falchion class frigates. I plan to expand the fleet more by adding in another battleship, battlecruiser, 2 cruisers, a few light cruisers, and a large number of escort ships

Recently I just got bored and started making other ships. My Ork fleet confuses me because I don't have a very good bits selection and want more ships but am having trouble deciding what they should look like. But Craftworld Eldar are straight forward and very simple. So far I've been able to make about a dozen frigates of various sizes and armaments out of sprue bits, toothpicks, and plastic card. The dremil tool really helps tho with the sleep look and filing down the sprues. After that a tiny smattering of Greenstuff to be gunpods sticking out and such and it's all done. If only it were as easy to construct Ork frigates that looked as good.

I'd start a BFG fleet, but all the official GW Tau ships are freaking UGLY, They look like the ship from the opening scene of Spaceballs; just a long brick of kit-bashed crap and tubes. Not only that but Tau ships are more expensive than any other ships. What's sad is that it's not only cheaper to buy the Forgeworld ships, but they look WAY better.

it's a great game once you learn the rules i'd also recommend Babylon 5; A call to arms as it's very similar to BFG and another great game also cheaper than BFG too

me and my friend just took it up, i play chaos and love the repulsive class (yes i love close combat in standard 40 k) I give them all demonic and mark of khorne, and generally use anything with either high powered guns, or lances...I hate abbadons ship though, it died so easily when i took it on with 2 repulsives.. although only one had any enhancements.
My friend uses imperials, but focus's mainly on pounding from a longe range or torpedoes...
We have a campaign going where you need to land transports on wherever you're attacking, every transport means 100 pts on the battlefield (three battles to take a planet, 1 for a moon, space stations are special)
