Not two seconds after Zhenga had entered the village, the sounds of pots being smashed and wood toppling over could be heard through the darkness. Shouts and whoops came from all directions.
She had taken up to tromping over some poor two-leggers wares they had left out for the night. And now had a small group of them chasing after her amongst the chaos. Though she seemed to always be two steps ahead of them.
A flick of her tail here and there sent more wood toppling over to the ground with a resounding crash. The mare let out loud whinnies of laughter as she pranced just out of the reach of those horrible grasping hands that came at her from all sides.
If he was gonna do something, he better do it soon.

It would be hard to miss a signal like that!
Sounds like she's got half the village on her tail!
Rem waited for a moment longer, watching the group head away from his target. He wasn't sure, but he -thought- he'd seen Shikoba in the group after the mare. And if not... well, he could deal with one two-legger now that no one was around to answer to his shouts.
The stallion gathered himself and loped into the village, weaving his way towards the garish red tent. Reaching it, he poked his head in and sniffed.
No heavy perfume, and no two-legger.
Excellent.
Slipping into the tent, he nosed his way through the two-legger gear, passing up blankets and other larger (and more obvious) treasures. Khairi had (grudgingly) explained what two-leggers valued, and the thief knew what was a bad idea to begin with. His eyes were caught by the glint of light on a glass bead necklace. Even he had to admit it was lovely!
... and there were two.
Snatching both up, he ducked out of the tent --
-- and started, ears and head flung up in surprise and glass bead necklaces clutched carefully (and quite obviously) between his teeth. Three two-leggers (farmers, by their look) stood nearby, scowling and clutching rope.
Rem snorted and took off before they could throw one his way, swearing under his breath as his hooves pounded on the hard pressed ground.

Zhenga continued to gallop and lope around the village. Knocking things this way and that. Until out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a few two-leggers with ropes, ready to snap out and possibly wrangle her.
Her silver eyes snapped this way and that until she then spotted Rem making his escape. With a quick bound, she kicked one of the nearby teepee's over before extending her wings. Giving them a huge flap, she was air born now. Climbing higher and higher upon the warm night winds until she was out of range of the ropes and grasping hands.
It was fun. But now it was time to get out of there! Doing a few twirls in the air, she made her way back to where the stallion had told her to go. Curious about what he had snagged from the teepee.

The first rope went wide, and the second followed it. However, the third nearly settled on his head. In fact, he was certain it -would- have, if not for his quick thinking.
... or rather, his stumble. A kindly placed rabbit hole sent the stallion rolling and allowed the rope to soar unsuccessfully through the space he had so recently occupied.
Gathering himself, Rem managed to scramble to his feet and lope painfully away. His leg, while unbroken, was not unbruised. But pain was nothing, not when he'd escaped with his prize unbroken! The stallion whickered to himself and took a wide path towards their designated meeting spot in an effort to keep the farmers off his trail.
Not that they were following, of course. Those two-leggers were so slow! As he came up on the meeting spot he spied Zhenga and whinnied a greeting.
"Great work!" He laughed around the beads, half rearing in residual excitement. Gold eyes glanced back at the village. "They'll be cleaning that up for a while yet!"

She gave a wide grin as she spiral down from the sky. Dark hooves touching lightly onto the ground as she quickly folded her wings. Flying wasn't all that exciting, but wings were good for when you wanted a quick escape!
Trotting towards him, her tail snaked around wildly. "It was fun. Till they brought out the ropes." Her eyes glanced at the beads he held in his mouth with a quick curiosity. "Hehe, yea. I did make quite a mess. Oh well."
Zhenga stretched out her wings then her front legs one at a time. "Did you get what you went in there for?"

"Bet those come in handy, hmm?" The stallion commented wryly, nodding towards Zhenga's black wings. So those things really -did- work! Too bad he didn't have any. Rem returned the grin, nearly dropping his prize.
"Like I said, I wasn't going in after anything specific." The stallion placed the beaded necklaces carefully on the grass. They tasted cold and metallic - nasty! He snatched a quick bite of grass to quell the awful taste.
"But these... I think they'll work just fine." He nudged the pile gently with a hoof and they almost seemed to sing together as they moved. "Necklaces, I think, and real glass. I have to admit, they're rather striking."
He might have even been convinced to wear one, if he wasn't certain they would make too much noise. His beaded mane and tail were enough!
"So... do you want to hold a favor for a later time as payment?" The stallion tilted his head slightly. "Or do you want one of these pretty things? I think I'll only need one." Ohanzee wasn't rich, and two expensive looking necklaces might get him in trouble. One necklace, while unlikely, wouldn't be questioned too much.
"Or something else, if you have anything in mind." He shrugged, not sure what she would want. "Doesn't matter to me, love."

Letting her wings stretch out, she gave a small nod. "Yea. Makes it easier to escape from things that can't fly."
Her eyes quickly flicked down to look upon the glass beaded necklaces. They were pretty after all. "So basically a smash and grab operation huh? Me doing the smashing while you did the grabbing." The mare gave a soft chuckle to her little joke, but quickly came back to the situation at hand.
"Hmmmm....they are pretty." Silver eyes seemed to nearly glitter in unison with the shine of the beads. Though, in the back of her mind, others might wonder where exactly she got such things. Zhenga wasn't one for keeping evidence around like that. Especially if she was to even return to the village later on, the two-leggers would know for certain.
A few wiggles of her black nose came as she thought carefully about it. "Perhaps I'll just hold off on payment for a later time. I'm sure if I'm seen around with one of those the two-leggers will catch on indefinitely that I was apart of this little plot. And that would be no good."

"Smart girl. I'll have to warn my two-legger and tell him were to sell. Or more to the point - where not to sell."
With a quick motion the stallion snatched up the two beaded necklaces and tossed the around his neck. Strange that the two-leggers made strands of beads long enough for a soquili... with a mental shrug Rem put the thought out of his head and prepared to head out.
"Keep me in mind, love, and when you need something don't hesitate." The stallion winked. "I'll always be willing to help a pretty lady like yourself."
With a quick (and only slightly mocking) bow, Rem spun and headed away at an easy lope. Fun and profit! A great night by any standards! Maybe Khairi would even fess up and admit that Rem's... ways had SOME merit. The stallion chuckled to himself - better not press his luck.
