She held up a hand, as if to calm the one whom she was to assume was Tangerine. "Dun worry 'bout it." Asherah began moving her legs again, slowly. Stretching, trying to regain motion and feeling before trying to walk again.
"I dun think e'en I know what happen'd, tell yeh de truth..."

The two girls paused their banter, looking down at her. Marilene sighed softly, brushing the girl's stray hair from her face. "Well... Don't worry about it." She began, smiling brightly."We'll help you with whatever you need." Tangerine's eyes darted back to the wreckage and back to the girl. She trotted over to the water's edge, her eyes sparkling as she stared at the crystaline water.

Moving much more slowly, more cautionary than before, she came to her feet. It seemed that she had regained her landlegs. She smiled. She missed her landlegs. It had been awhile.
Still testing out her newfound mobility, she thought it would be rude to ignore the girls who were offering their help. "Mighnt I ask wahtje're doin' out'ere y'erselves?"

Tangerine quickly adopted a look of complete innocence, twinged with hidden intent. Marilene gave her partner a most peculiar sideways look. "We're just wandering around." Tangerine replied, shrugging her tan shoulders. Marilene rolled her blue eyes, before waving a hand. "For once... This is true. I'm glad we happened by, you could have been seriously hurt."

"Ana I thank yeh for that kynd gestyure," Asherah said, pulling one knee up to her chest to stretch out her thigh. Her back made loud cracking noises as she did so. This was not how most people would have spent a night at a beach, that was for sure: clinging to some unidentifiable wreckage.
"Jyest wanderin' 'round, huh? Interestin' place to jyest wanderin'." She looked down in the wreckage to see if there was, in fact, anything useful that had found its way ashore with her. But of course there wasn't; that would be her luck these days. "Speakino'which... where 'xactly is this place?"

Marilene cringed at the noise of popping bones, her fingers twitching nervously as she covered her ears. Tangerine smiled at her uncomfotable partner, but placed her hands on her hips and looked at the girl. "I suppose it would be a tad silly to note that we're on a beach. The UnderGround is a few miles back that way." She replied. "This is the port part of the Underground." Marilene added, turning back to the girls. She blinked softly, thinking. "Are you... New?" She exchanged a quick glance with Tangerine who suddenly went stiff all over.

Asherah looked at the wreckage as if the answer were obvious. "Ye might say dat..." She noticed that the orange-haired one looked a bit uncomfortable. What was her name... something like a fruit, right?
"What's wrong wit her?"

Tangerine's face went a little pale, but she loosened up a bit. She looked around at the wreckage as well, trying to look occupied. "Nothing's wrong with her!" Marilene replied with a sweet smile. She was obviously the prettier of the two as well as the more socially adept. "If you're not from here... Then where are you from? Tangerine asked, her voice smooth. Her dark eyebrows were peaked in genuine interest.

Asherah seemed rather uninterested in the question, because any straightforward answer she gave would be a lie. And she was generally tired of lying on the whole. The thing about something you do your whole life is that eventually you get tired of it, and normally at the worst possible times. However, this was not the worst time. She was just tired of lying.
She made a vague motion with her hand, roughly in a circle. "Erm... y'know...'round..," then, pointing in a completely arbitrary direction... "thaddaway."

Tangerine followed her motion with scutinizing eyes, then with an abrupt motion she flung her upper torso to look in the direction the girl was pointing. Her feet stood planted in the sand and when she was done looking, she straightened up sharply. She looked down at the girl, thinking very hard. Marilene watched the two carefully, biting her bottom lip softly and holding her small hands together. After a moment of uncertainity she sighed and looked at the girl. "My name is Marilene." She said, curtseying for the girl in the most feminine manner.

"Lurvely t'meetchu, m'dear." She bowed with one hand in front and one in back. She would have courtseyed as well, but she was wearing pants. It was clear to see that she had recovered quite quickly. Perhaps all she really needed was water.
"M'name is Asherah."

Tangerine watched as the two exchanged names and feeling left out, she nodded her head curtly. "I'm Tangerine, Captain of..." She paused, looking around quickly. She didn't have a ship, or a crew for that matter so it was hard to name what she was captain of. Marilene giggled softly, noticing how well the girl was doing after only some water. It seemed strange, especially considering all the reckage and how well-off she seemed. "Captain Tangerine of the Pirate Pair Extraordinaire." She added with a lilting laugh. "Not so extraordinaire..." Tangerine hissed unhappily.

"Pirates, eh?" A little smile grew on her face. One of those things that someone does subconsciously. And you look at me funny when I say I'm not from around here. She was much more coherent in her head than when she actually spoke, but she wasn't about to admit it... and she really was her only judge on the matter.
"Er... nice t'meatchu." She noticed a bit of...well, "tension" was the first word to come to mind, but that was not to say it was the most accurate. However, it was the only one she knew well enough to describe the situation. "Izeverfing aurright?"

The two girls shook their head simultanously. Tangerine waved her hand about, shaking her head to dismiss the subject. "So, if you're not from around here, then why did you come here?" She inquired, placing her tan hands on her hips and shifting her weight. "Or at least where were you going before you... Erm... Ended up here?" Marilene added with a brillant smile.

Asherah made a hand motion similar to her answer to the previous question of where she was from, ambiguous circle-y gesture and ambiguous arbitrary pointing gesture. "I... wullIs'pose y'couldsay I was goin' 'ome." She laughed nervously.
These girls were... odd. But then, she was certain that they found her odd as well.
