Make a masive banquet. (not sure of the spelling) It shouldn't be too expensive.
Take lots of those head used for wigs display, there are some cheap ones made of some white material and extremely light. just paint them to look like people, or cut and paint them to look like a head with the brains showing like in Hannibal.
Put lots of tables with fabroc over them so you cant see underneath.
and in some cases, instead of using a real table use, big boxes, spray paint them in a dark color, make a hole big enough for your head to pass through. take a carboard plate, and make a hole to it too, same size as the box, paint it silver. Take the fabric to cover the table and make a hole on it too. put glue around the holes and paste the fabric on the box and the plate to the fabric. Make yourself look dead and put your head through the hole to look like part of the display, when ppl pass nearby scare them.

NoirRaven List:Witch Doctor Theme Zombies (I really don't feel like doing that this year. 2006, sure!) Something to do with Skeletons... Werewolf Forest Witches Coven Carnival of Terror Please note, that I do not have 10 grand to spend on this halloween and I really need something creative. Something that'll attract people to come to my door. I've made it my personal goal to out do all the neighbours on our street. xd Pictures: Coming soon, pictures of our front yard so you can help out some more with the design. how about a theme of hell with demons

[_Alucard_] I would donate to you but I don't have any gold. crying sweatdrop This IS off topic but thanks anyway. You're sweet. smile [x]Living Dead Girl[x] I really like your quest tracker thingy in your sig. Really neat looking. How the hell do you have a million though? o.O;; I know my zombified avie looks cheap (even though it does have a NM scarf,) but the answer is simple. Saving and collecting. Items from 2004 are constantly rising. I saved all the letters my friend got me for the first 5 months of 2004 and some have been reciently donated. If you click the image, you'll see my quest thread which shows all the items I have to offer in trade for NM Minis...The Essence of Evil I usually decorate my house all random-like... But if you want a theme: Glowey Stuff- Black lights, neon paint, other glow-in-the-dark items Horror Movies- Dunno how you'd pull that off, but it would be cool. I personally like the Carnival of Terror, Witch Doctor, and Zombie ideas myself though. Thanks for your opinion![x]Living Dead Girl[x] The Essence of Evil [x]Living Dead Girl[x] O.O Gllooowwwyyy O.O ....erm sweatdrop Anyways, on Halloween everyone turned to zombies. Thats why her face is like that. Oh yeah, the G-Corp Zombie game at the Gambino Halloween party...I read about that in the old announcements when I was trying to figure out how to trick-or-treat so I didn't look like a n00b this Halloween. sweatdrop It was really annoying because Gaia was all glitchy so it I didn't get many of each item. One of each, except duplicates of one or two. I myself didn't stay for the biting of humans and things like that... By the time I had manipulated everyone to make me a zombie, the glitches were so, horrifyingly BAD that I decided to log off. Then for the TOTing... I got doubles for at least half of the 2004 Jack Collection.Lucid Nightmares Well you can always go out TP-ing people's houses, streaking, and scaring little kids for their candy. [x]Living Dead Girl[x] I agree....Just maybe not the streaking sweatdrop My, how "original". Last time I checked, that's what freshmen in highschool did. Not to mention my community really sucks when it comes to such things. They almost cancelled halloween last year due to two kids disappearing before hand. There's adults everywhere, they have this stupid, Roger Cable Safety Van that patrols the area, not one house is abandoned, & I'm 21... I vent my Halloween needs through my displays & scaring small children with my costumes. I do plan to rent or buy some animatronic puppets this year to reach out and scare the children however. The only problem being the lack of cash and what the theme should be.

Harbone Can you tell us what materials you have available? For instance, you could do a "Dance of the Dead Theme" pretty easily with a lot of paper Skeletons (backed with sturdier cardboard.) You could print out some examples of old German woodcuts and draw them on big pieces of cardboard (and look to that famous Walt Disney dancing skellingtons cartoon for inspiration, too - there''s an homage to that in Zim''s Halloween Spooktacular of Spooky Doom, I think. Just a short bit.) For the witches, you could also take a leaf from the same book, so to speak, with the woodcuts and skeleton and do a Malleus Maleficarium (Ooo, I don''t think I spelled that right) witch hunt theme, repleat with Kramer and Sprenger (ach! Spelling again) and maybe DeLancre or Mathew Hopkins and Cotton Mather. Lots of hanging, burning at the stake, that kind of theme (with maybe some clever witches turning tables on their acccusers in the background... or being accuser themselves?) These are a lot of okay ideas but I don''t know what we can do budget wise... I''ll definately consider these. As for supplies, they''re all in the basement and I don'' know where so I can''t tell you at the moment.koga658 put ideas on a dart bored close your eyes and throu a dart Now there''s an idea... I''ll probably have to if I don''t come up with something soon.wyattg go out in a hockey mask with a black cloak on and get one of those guns that shoots blanks, rob the kids of their candy...oh...or do something a lil more safer, im serious do u know how many ppl have pocket knives nowadays Uhm... I appreciate the idea but it''s a little on the unoriginal side not to mention with my chest size, it would be hard posing as Jason.Reika Aly Make a masive banquet. While this is wonderful, it''s a bit on the oldies side. Not to mention I don''t think I could get anyone to look scary enough to be the main course... Not to mention that kids are much harder to scare now a days. This trick would''ve worked too... like... 10 years ago. Though I may consider it. Thanks for the suggestion.killer_faerie go out at 1 am and scream blue murder. ...Uhm... Yeah and what am I supposed to tell the cops who show up at my door? I''ve already been wrongfully arrested once, I don''t want to relive that. cry Cruven how about a theme of hell with demons There''s a theme I hadn''t thought of but will there be enough time and what should I use for props?Johnny_Halloween i never have to worry about decorating my house it scares the s**t out of the neighbors already Mine just looks plain ugly... I know the pumpkin patch and grave yard are cliches, but they are an important part of Halloween culture and tradition. I'd say go with those again, but if you really want something new, I'd say go with like, a bizarro world thing. Like, have a normal setup of whatever it is your setting up, but make it all way dark and bizzar looking.

Last year my wife made do with a frozen Barney Donner Party in the freezer (made of whole bunch of little plastic santa Barney-the-Dinosaur toys in various states of dismemberment and one with a black preacher's hat in the corner with a cute little knife and fork.) As for my previous suggestions to Alucard, I always try to instill a little literary punch here and there. It sounds like you're looking for terrifying... I can't really do that. I'm too artsy-crafty. My stuff always comes out with just a hint of cute. Wait... wait... I know these annoy people: heart domokun heart Not that I use them that often, but I had a tough day.
