Arahila slowly opened her eyes and blinked at the water that clung to her eye lashes. Why was she wet? For that matter, why was she indoors with someone yelling her name? Blinking off the haze she tried to remember how she had gotten here but couldn't. Sitting up, she brushed back the wet aqua hair that clung to her forehead and rubbed her eyes looking around. A movement caught her eye and she turned her head to find Reginald extremly close. He must have been the one calling her name....
Then it slowly came back to her. The red eyes. The van. The blood. Watching him drink the blood. She felt herself get woozy again at the thought but clung to being awake this time, if only for the sheer terror of realizing she was in his room. Looking at him more closely, she didn't see any of the hunger that had been there before she passed out. Maybe he had had his fill of...blood...for the night? Actually, he looked rather panicked. He could drink blood by the bottle but couldn't handle a girl passing out?
Pressing the heel of her hand to her head she tried to find something polite to say. "So, umm, where are we?"

He looked relieved when she woke up and slumped down in a chair, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You're... in my room." He responded slowly, then stood again.
What to do...
She looked sick still. "Are you alright? You passed out quite suddenly..." He rummaged around the room muttering a few choice words in Spanish.
Once he found what he was looking for he walked back over to her and pressed a cool cloth against her cheek. "I am terribly sorry if it was my actions... I would never harm someone as sweet as yourself. As far as I'm concerned you're my only friend here."
Regret crept into his eyes as he pulled out glasses from his pocket and placed them on himself. "If... I haven't scared you off that is."

Arahila's initial fright faded as she saw the sincerity in his eyes become more apparent. "No, you didn't frighten me away. It's just...I'm not used to talking to too many people and the sight of blood freaks me out. Never mind...umm...drinking it by the bottle." She grinned a little even though she knew she must have turned pale. "Do you know how long I was out for?"

Reggie shook his head and motioned to the clock mounted on his wall. "Barely twenty minutes, dear." He ran his finger along the smooth wood of his coffin. "I'll refrain from ever drinking around you again, I promise...but... perhaps its best now if you went to bed." He brought a finger to one of his fangs and felt it subconsciously. "Your own of course. I could walk you there if you like." He was starting to look tired himself.

Arahila thought for a moment. Bed was a good idea and in her state, an escort might not be a bad thought as well. "Thank you, and yes, I would like the company, if you don't mind." Arahila smiled and blushed, swinging her legs off the....coffin?!?!....and standing up, concentrating on keeping her balance.

He quickly took hold of her arm to prevent her from falling. "Erm, you don't look so well, perhaps I should carry you?" He offered with a deep frown etched in his features. She shouldn't be moving around if she was this ill.

Damnit, she shouldn't have wavered like that. Her entire acceptance to this place had been based on her flexibility and balance...and this simple meeting and temporarily robbed her of that? Her blush deepened as she considered. Being carried sounded wonderful right now but she didn't really feel comfortable since they had just met. She still was completly used to being around men.
"Thank you for the offer, but I think I'm okay...could you just help me get there and make sure I don't fall on my face?" She smiled weakly, trying to lighten the situation with a small amount of humor.

He offered his arm to her with a smile. "Absolutely... Just hold to my arm, dearest. You getting hurt is the last thing I want to see." He used a fake heroic voice and chuckled to himself. He was very worried about her. His only friend and he nearly caused her to pass out twice? Well... it was either that or using her to quell himself. The latter wasn't something he was willing to do. "You can trust me..." He half whispered under his breath. "I'll protect you."

Arahila just blushed and nodded, making her way to the door with Regi's help. It was odd...he said a lot of strange things and she wasn't sure how to respond to most. At the same time though, he didn't come across as any more strange then most that she had met since coming here. In fact, he was probably the closest thing to a friend that she currently had. As they walked the color started to return to her face and she was able to stand up straighter, much to her relief. "Thanks for the help." She said softly and smiled. "I think my rooms down the next hall to the left....I think..."

He became very quiet. He pushed up his reading glasses with his finger and gave her a soft smile. He seemed visibly aged. Tired, mentally exhausted and yet still confident and wise. All he wanted was to cross his arms over his chest and lay down in his coffin for the entire day. Yes, he'd sleep in tomorrow... The vampire shifted his eyes away from the mirrors in the halway and kept them straight ahead.
"Is this it?" He asked turning down the hall and staring at a room. How had he known? He wanted to say vampire intuition but he could smell her scent coming from the room. "Yet again, I apologize for my actions and I bid you a goodnight, milady Arahila..." He paused for a few minutes.
"I, ah, forgot to tell you... My name is Reginald." With that he released her and began to walk away. He changed into a bat after a few feet and glided for his room. He just need sleep... the sun was too close at hand.

Arahila stared at the door for a moment before nodding. Yes, that was her room...she hoped. Her balance mentally was still a little off. She was about to thank him for the help back to her room when he re-introduced himself and began to walk away. Furrowing her brow, Arahila was about to call after him but then he changed into a bat and was gone. "Best to leave talking for another day..." she mused to herself and turned back to her door, looking forward to being alone to clear her head of tonights discoveries.
