Whisper smiled at her friend, glad for the compliment but still not thinking she really deserved the credit. Yet she couldn't much help what others thought about her at the moment, so she just dropped the subject as Ieshia brought up a new one.. or rather, brought it up again. "Kouji? Heh.. well.." she began, wondering how to say it. She hadn't told anyone that Kouji and she were mates.. the red and black female would be the first.
"He is a friend from a long while ago. I knew him when I was still with my parents.. before they were killed." Whisp's eyes clouded for a moment, but it soon faded. "When I ran away, he came to find his sister Talia and me.. because we were good friends. When we met up again, there was something between us that I'd never felt before.. and.. now we're mates." A sigh of contentment escaped her lips as she thought of the moment when the two wolves claimed their feelings for each other. It had been such a wonderful moment..

"Ooohhhh, so it's that kind of thing is it?" Ieshia said with a tilt of her head, her grin widening. Her tail swished to the side in excitement for her friend. She had loved quite a few people as friends...but what Whisper was talking about was something much more special and, though Ieshia didn't quite understand form experience, she knew that it was important anyway, "That's wonderful! Congrats."

Whisper blushed under her fur. Her heart was pounding with the thought of spending the rest of her life with Kouji and his image imprinted in her mind permantently. This was certainly a good time for the green female. A while before she met all of her friends--those including Kouji--she had been wandering all alone, with no purpose and no place to be. Now she was as happy as she could be, with a mate and a pack-in-the-making.
"Yeah, thanks. I mean.. I think I love him.. but I can't help but wonder if he feels the same. I don't want to say it to him only for him to not say it back.."

Though Ieshia was brave and energetic, she still was rather naive...and at times a bit too idealistic. Both her ears flickered back in confusion at Whispers statement, for it made little sense to her mind. "Why would he agree to be your mate if he didn't?" she questioned, her puzzlement rather obvious.

Why would he agree to be your mate if he didn't?
This was a good question. It seemed logical that he would love her if he wanted to be her mate. Whisper loved him at the time she agreed to it.. at least, she thought she did.. though she still wasn't quite sure. Yet there was always some doubt in her mind about everything, so she couldn't help but think there was this tiny chance that he might not..
"Well.. I don't know. I'm just a little worried, I don't know. It's new to me.." Love was the subject there.

Letting her ears fall back into place Ieshia smiled softly. She gave Whisper an encouraging n**, "Hey, I'm not an expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure love is always like that...but believing and trust is what makes it real...so I'm sure he does..." She gave a swish of her tail, letting her voice trail off.

Whisper gave a grateful smile to her friend, glad that Ieshia was there to help her out and give her some reassurance. She had a good idea that Kouji loved her, but wasn't sure and so needed some words to help settle her mind in the right spot. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I think he does care about me enough.. and we certainly have a great trust.." Whisp's tail gave a delighted wag at the thought of finding the love of her life.. one that she could live her whole life out with.

"See? Nothing to worry about," she chirped with a cheerful grin, cocking her head. Her tail was not being very friendly to the ferns near by as it moved about. Giving Whisper a sly look she said, "You'll have to introduce me to the lucky fella sometime!"

Whisper nodded towards Ieshia. Of course. She would have to introduce Kouji to a lot of wolves. If he was to join the pack, he needed to know and hopefully get along with everyone in it. She didn't think that would be a problem, though, so she didn't worry too much. "Of course!" she replied cheerfully. Nothing could bring her down now. She would go around with Kouji, introducing him to the pack members and letting everyone know they were mates.. that was, if he was okay with that.
But then there was Talia. Her mate's brother. Whisp and the black and white female were good friends, but what would she think of having one of her best friends being a mate to her brother? Hopefully she wouldn't mind..

Kouji finally found time to get himself bathed, though with Talia involved it had been more like a SOAK war. The two split ways after a little wrestling match, nothing wrong with bonding with the siblings. They used to do that all the time when she was still just a pup... The memory brought a rare smile to the azure male's face as he kept steady on his trail, he was following Whisper's scent, scenting two others as he approached.
Neither was familiar, but there was no sign of trouble either. He proceeded with a bit of caution and sauntered onto the scene with a calm, steady gaze at Ieshia and then darting his eyes to Whisper in silent question. His fur was still slick with water from his last dip, and he had shaken most of it out and preened most of it down, but the signs of bathing were still apparent, especially the scent of the river area in his pelt.

Rochir yawned, letting out a high pitched whine as he stretched himself out to sun on a rock, his belly full of fish. His pitch black nose probed the air as he sniffed for any sign of another wolf, especially on the look out for Fute or Whisper's scent. A twinge of guilt set in as he wished he had been able to play with them the last couple of days, but the constant fluttering in his mind and worries of never finding his father had kept him sleeping most of the day.
Ohwell.. I'll find them again and it'll be like we never parted ways. He though, not exactly sure if the thought was centered around his new friends or his lost family.
He yawned again, unable to resist the calming powers of the warm sun and wondered about the pack of sorts that Fute had mentioned.. when would he meet them? Was the idea still a valid one? He whined as too many thoughts filled his head at once and before an attempt to dispell them could be made, began drifting into a light sleep.

Fute stretched himself out as he padded along the forest floor, gazing around as his exploration expedition had now tumbled into a lost territory scene. It's all okay though. I'll find my way back. Staying positive is the key. His thoughts kept repeating as he paced forward and forward, getting deeper into the woods and moreso lost with each steps. He now understood that the few places that he'd recalled as his territory were not the entire world. No, this place was vast, and if he didn't get out and find out about it though, he'd be in big trouble.
He stopped as a scent within the air whiffed past his nose, giving him a strong burst of excitement as he realized who the scent could be from. "Rochir!" A small, faint yip emitted from the pup's mouth as he exclaimed in a low tone whom he thought the scent was coming from. But, why was Rochir around these parts? Oh well. That didn't matter too much at the moment, though the thought still lingered in the depths of his mind. He was so glad that his friend was nearby. Nothing else mattered.
But now, which way? He took a big whiff of the air, trying to decide which way to head. As he did, Rochir's scent became more strong, more clear, and Fute didn't hesitate to start foward once more, heading steady towards his bud. Not more than a minute or two later did he reach the edge of the forest, and sure enough, just out ahead was Rochir. "Hey, Rochir! Overe here!" He lept forward in the most playful and happy manner possible. Reunions were so great.
He came to a halt as he reached next to his friend. "Hey Rochir, how ya been? How I've missed ya so!" Came an excited voice before his tone finally calmed down. "Oh you wouldn't BELIEVE everything I've been through lately." The spotted pup swished his tail back and forth in contentment, keeping a steady pace in doing so. "But before I tell you everything, I want to hear everything about what you've been up to. Don't leave out any details." He gave a mere quick swipe of the paw to Rochir before settling down complete, awaiting an answer.

Rumbling growls and wicked snarls filled Rochir's mind as he dozed just below conciousness. It was a wonder he wasn't thrashing and crying in his sleep. Terror was definitely on the pup's face as a familiar and friendly scent filled his nose. He awoke with a start but was able to hide his predicament from his friend, he thought. He opened one eye sleepily and gazed at the happy spotted puppy, attempting to take in everything he was saying, even though his mind was slowed by sleep.
"Urhnnn... " he groaned as he sat upright, shaking some of the sleep from his head. "Heya Fute.. " he started, not really wanting to tell the pup that he had done nothing but sleep and eat. Ohwell.. "I've just been hanging out here" he said giving a bored wave of his paw. "Fishing and chasin' m'tail." he added with a slightly cheerful aire. "What about you.. what've you been up to?"

Fute hadn't realized his friend had been sleeping, up until now. He calmed himself down further and tried not to be disruptive to Rochir's sleep. "I've been doing a lot! I met these two older wolves, Gyani and Diego-" He kept his voice tranquil as he began to tell Rochir of his adventures. "-and Diego spoke about Reicher's pack, and how he wanted to be free from it all, that he himself was Reicher's slave. I thought it was real sad." On that last note Fute's tone lowered into a glum growl as he tilted his head towards the ground in sorrow for a second, though lifted it back up again not but a second later. "Gyani was nice though. She seems a little different than Whisper, but has that motherly appearance about her that creeps through her personality. A unique femme if ya ask me." Fute allowed a small smile to cross his face at that second, just before laying down on the rock next to Rochir and beginning to take in the surroundings.
"So, nice area around here." he began again, now having told out all that he'd remembered and thought necessary to explain. "Great scenery, plenty of small wildlife for meals, and vast lands as far as the eye can see to roam." He gave a smirk as he continued. "Ya think it's too good to be true, or do ya think we really have the place to ourselves now?"
