Arius quickly noted a whole network of trees and bushes and quickly headed into it. If Farlest was going to chase him, he wanted his parent to work for it. Even if the parents didn't come after him, this was bound to be fun, though it would preferable if they did.
Farlest sighed heavily, then biting thoughtfully at his lower lip as he glanced towards where the boys had run off to. "Uhm...it depends on the company he's currently in, and if yours has a penchant for mischief then I fear that Arius can be equally as bad, if not worse." The elf grimaced, "I can go after them if you'd rather stay here."

Anbu stayed near enough to Arius to keep track of where the other Scent was. But it, too, was making a very confusing path through the trees and bushes. At one point, it let its ball go...as a sort of taunt to its guardian. Even if Kyoko didn't find it, Anbu could retrieve it later. The trickster ALWAYS knew where its ball was.
Kyoko paled. "Oh...dear. Than it might be a good idea to go after them together." Kyoko could feel a headache coming on, and there was no way she would be able to take any meds for it...tea might work later, though. "Anbu is the most mischievous child I've ever known..." Without waiting for Farlest's response, she started toward where the children had run off to.

Arius ran till his legs started to get tired, at which point he figured that it might as well be his turn to be it, and went tumbling, rolling through the grass and dirtying his jeans. Might as well...it would give Farlest something to do later. Yes, that was precisely the way his mind logged things away.
Far sighed heavily, gnawing at his lower lip a moment. "Indeed..." He gestured forwards, "Shall we, Miss Kyoko?" Using the 'miss' almost playfully, trying to keep the situation light though he was worried at what sorts of trouble his little scent might be getting into at this very moment.

Anbu fell onto the grass near Arius, laughing. It was nice to play so freely, without worrying what its playmate would do. It sat up, trying to catch its breath...and still laughing at the same time. "Let's see how long it takes for them to find us!"
Kyoko chuckled from where she was and looked back. "Well, catch up then, Mister Farlest!" She was trying to keep things light as well. She knew Anbu caused trouble...but if she'd done a good job so far, it wouldn't cause too much...she hoped. Oh how Kyoko hoped...

Arius nodded enthusiastically at that particular suggestion, sidling close to Anbu in a conspiratory manner. "Far's not very good at hide and seek." He confided, "So's it might take a while...but it's fun ta watch him look, he gets all worried-like."
"I'll try!" The elf called back to Kyoko, and well-knowing that it would do no good to call his errant scent's name, he went to rummaging about in bushes, peering behind trees, and jogging down in the general direction that the two youngsters had disappeared into. It certainly made for an odd sight.

Anbu nodded. "Kyoko isn't very good either." It flopped back so that it was lying down, rather than sitting. "She's very emotional, so her worry is most entertaining. It shows in everything she does, even when she tried to hide it." The Scent chuckled, a slightly wicked grin on its face.
Kyoko wasn't too far from Farlest, searching where he didn't. "Oh...I'm not supposed to have to worry so much at this age..." She blinked as she saw a familiar, and hated, item. "Argh...stupid Anbu..." She retrieved the ball and continued on. At least she knew she was going the right direction..."They went this way, Farlest!"
