Ro was excused to set out and explore Coruscant. She walked out of the base to see flying ships and transports. It was magnificent. She was walking and looking at the buildings, and tripped over the ex-Jedi. "Whoa!" she said falling on her face. She hit the ground in front of Zek. "S-Sorry about that!" she said nervously.

"If the word innocence would be looked up in the databanks, this girl's face would be the face you would see." Zek thought to himself.

"Not your fault," Zek said to the lady, "Here let me help you up." Zek offered a hand for her to grab onto. He took in her features. She looked as though she had never been to the cities, probably a farm girl. Her goggles put her solidly for the pilot position, whatever the case, she was what the Republic stood for. Her bright-eyed optimism was the reason there was a Republic so people like her could dream for a better future.

Ezekiel thought to himself. "That's quite a poetic thought, Zek, but it's probably just that."

"Thank you," said Ro. She took Zek's hand. "I'm Ro Catino," she said. "You look like a Jedi."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 18, 2007 7:46 pm

"Well, I'm no Jedi, I'm a mercenary for the Republic, call me Zek." The two shook hands. "This is a pretty bad area of Coruscant, If I were you I wouldn't be wandering around here alone...are you lost?"

Ro rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah, sorta," she said nerbously. "I just came here from the Tatooine training base. I was excused by my Chief to explore the area. I have no idea where the hell I am." She smiled a little, then fixed her googles, which fell down to her neck.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2007 3:45 pm

"Tatooine huh, Coruscant must appear to be quite...huge, Do you want to see the Jedi Temple? I'm going there to report on an..." Zek looked at the ex-Jedi. "Incident, you're welcome to join me if you want."

Iero gets back to his home and starts to update his armor. A.I.D. floats into a case to recharge."Don't get too settled in Aid," says Iero"We have to get back to base after we reequip ourselves."

After Iero completes his update and reloads his weapons, he walks down to the landing platform and flies to the republic base. Once again he asks the general for a mission report. The general responds with"I think you will be some what excited. It seems we do have a mission other than daily patrol."

Iero responds semi excitedly"As long as I get to shoot my DeeCee, I am fine."

"That might happen but lets hope you don't need it. It seems the Haruun Kal planet has started to become close to the Empire. According to our data the humanoids have not realized that the poisons in their area can be harnessed to burn through almost everything. If they sell it to the Empire then the Empire could wipe us out. We need you to do some recon so keep the group small and don't draw up too much attention. This data piece should give you all you need. Try to round up at least three more people."

"Yes, General"

" Well, lets take a look at this data.Upload it to my helmet." Iero tells Aid.

"Here it is, Iero."

The helmet shot up rows of data that said

Raine stretches as she gets out of her bed in the small bedroom of the apartment she stayed at while she was at Coruscant. The room was rather devoid of anything that made it seem like home, but she was rarely there, so there was no need. Glancing at the light on the comm blinking, she activates it.

Accessing. Please state your name.

Raine McLeod.

Name and voice recognition, confirmed. You have one message.

A holo pops up on the small receiver of an Admiral. Captain McLeod, while the Rimward Guard is being repaired, you and its crew will be temporarily relieved of duty. Feel free to do as you please, though try and keep in touch; as you said, it didn't take as much damage from that meteorite as it could have. Don't feel like you're to blame.

The Admiral looks to the side and nods. Also, it seems that there will be a mission by the Spec Ops in containing something on a planet not too far from the border with the Empire. It's not that far from some of the planets you were assigned to patrol. If you're interested, place a call in to the Army HQ, and ask to find a way to get in touch with a man named Iero. I mentioned to the General that you might inquire, so just mention me and it'll be fine. Good luck, if you decide to go.

The holo cuts off and Raine mulls over this. Well, it'll be about a month before the ship's repaired, and I don't have any plans right now anyways. She activates the comm and calls the Army HQ and gets the runaround until she mentions the Admiral. After a few transfers, she gets in touch with the General mentioned.

The General listens to her and nods. Yes, I was talking about it with him earlier. You'll have to talk with the leader of the group, Iero, though. I may have put the mission together, but it's on him to choice the team. He doesn't seem to like the ones he's grouped with by my choice.

The General moves off screen for a few seconds then returns. He holds up a holocube showing the profile of a man. If you want to go on this, go ahead and find him. I don't know where he would have headed off to, so it's up to you. You must excuse me, but I have some things to take care of.

The holo cuts off as the General cancels the connection. Raine mulls over this for a little bit, debating whether or not to have to find this man that could be anywhere on the planet. Well, if nothing else, it'll be a challenge, and I love a challenge.

She gets dressed and conceals her issued weaponry within a long black coat. Leaving the apartment, she smiles at the game she was about to play. I always did enjoy 'Hide and Seek' With that, she leaves the building and goes off seeking.

Iero was researching for some troops to take with him on a mission. He starts to look through the categoried files.

"Hmm Shian, Ciran. Medic, we could use him. Aid, send a message out to Ciran. Who else we got. We need a pilot and most of them have gone already leaving us a rookie. Catino, Rowan. Pilot, engineer. We need someone to fly our squad, so send her a message. That gives us three, so one more and we have minimum. Of course a few other troops might help us out."

As A.I.D. sent 2 messages Iero ordered a drink, but then he fell asleep in a small booth at the end of the bar.

Before the girl answered, Zek got a message from a squadron leader.

"Hang on one second." Zek turned away and read through the request, some mission probably would be more exciting than spending the rest of his time, patrolling.

"Just got a message from base, I gotta get back, ASAP. I've been requested for a mission from Spec Ops. Pleasure meeting you, Ro, I hope we meet again, hopefully under better circumstances."

Zek smiled and bent down and heaved the ex-Jedi over his back. He noticed a vacant taxi nearby and headed to it, he looked back and waved.

"Next time we meet, dinner my treat!" Zek climbed into the taxi and sped off. He laid the dead guy onto the nearby seat. Zek looked back and Ro was gone. He shook his head.

"Duty calls."

He muttered to himself to justify the exit.

A.I.D. wakes Iero up with a com link call from the squad base. As Iero gets out of his booth he checks himself for any missing items. Once he gets up and turns on the com link and says"What seems to be the problem, General?"

"I seem to have a man named Ezekial Zico better known as Zek. He is requesting to join the mission. Is there any more room on the team?"

I would rather not have another sir all squad activities and missions are better off solo, but my needs are not the team's needs. We have a spot available." The com link pushes itself back into the
belt. Iero nods to his A.I.D. and te droid begins to transmit a message to Zek.

The brunette walks to a public access terminal half a megablock away from where her apartment was.

Well, it's been a while, but I'll give it a shot.

She looks around her before entering the booth and settles down in the seat in front of the monitor. Turning it on, she gets to work on attempting to slicing into the Army's database. After a number of tries, she curses lightly and thinks. I knew I should have brushed up a bit... Not giving up, she continues attempting, then finally manages to get though.

She smiles and wipes some sweat off her brow. Okay, let's start looking for this guy named Iero. She starts digging into the personal data of those serving within the Army. Skimming down the files, she runs across a great deal of names, but none close to Iero. She gets to the bottom and then goes back up, taking a closer look this time around.

The name comes up, though when she opens it, there was next to nothing there. Well, at least it has a contact number. She writes down the frequency and number before logging off the terminal. Opening the door to the booth, she walks briskly, but not in too much of a hurry away from the terminal.

Two blocks away, she pulls out the flimsy that she had wrote the number and frequency on. Taking out her comlink, she sets it to the desired settings.

She bites her lower lip in thought, wondering if she'd get denied. Granted, she did not have much experience as a fighter on the ground, and she had no idea if he all ready had a full crew. Shaking her head, she pushes those thoughts out of her head, trying to be optimistic.

Hi Iero, this is Captain Raine McLeod, of the 364th Defense Squadron, Mid Rim Sector. I was informed that you were going on a mission into that region of space. I was wondering if you'd mind if I came along.

RO nodded. She ran back to her base. "Private Catino!" called the Chief to her. She turned and faced him. "Yes Chief?" she said while saluting him.

The Chief saluted too. "YOu've been requested for a Recon mission. They need a skilled pilot, and from what I hear from the transporter pilot from a year ago, they said you were the person for the job. Do You accept?" he asked after he pulled down his salute.

"Yessir!" said Ro. She hugged the Chief. "Thank you!" She went and packed the things that she had unpackted just two hours ago. There wasn't much.

The taxi stopped at the mercenary base and Zek paid the man. Dragging the Ex-Jedi out of the taxi, the guard gave him a weird look, but he nodded him in.

"Commander Kop is in a meeting right now, you could-"

Zek ignored her and pushed open the doors. There was almost a shock of the room of commanders. Zek never really followed protocol very well, but he did manage to remember to salute. Commander Kop returned.

"You were right about the Dark Jedi sir, got this one from the Detonators. Couldn't get him to come willingly."

Zek threw the Dark Jedi onto the table messing up the plethora of documents and maps spread everywhere.

"Here's his comlink, he should have the recorded info in there. Get Jedi from the Temple to clear out the gangs of these scum. I've requested a mission over at the Headquarters."

Everyone looked at the Commander.

Commander Kop laughed to himself.

"At least he gets the job done, well done, soldier, we'll take the appropriate actions, we can't afford having Dark Jedi on Coruscant. You're free to go Zek, I'll have the funds transfered." He said to the others in the room.

With that, Zek threw the comlink onto the body and walked out. He went to his room to load up his belongings once again. "I never stay in one place too long." He noted to himself.

Soon, he was on the landing pad, piling into his starship, he lifted off and sped off to the Army base.

After Iero got to his ship and was flying to his home to get packed, his comlink beeped again. It said Raine McLeod."This is Iero. Yes, we still have a spot on the mission. O.k. We will pick you up from your area. The other contacts Rowynne Catino, our pilot, and Ezekial Zico. I will notify you when we come."

The A.I.D. beeped."What do we do about the medic?"

"We just have to wait for contact, but we must leave soon so lets get packed up."Iero said as he landed.
