I think the doctor would run and hide. and then the universe would end.

I think it'd depend how much time had passed for Rose. She might have moved on with her life enough not to get jealous over Martha - if Rose is as perceptive as she used to be she'd know the Doctor shouldn't be alone.

Freaj
Ah, to put it rather succinctly, perhaps the universe would explode.

IMPLODE, Freaj. The universe would IMPLODE.

Also, I second Roobarb's opinion.

This is what I think would happen... set fades to black and shows a very awkward moment.

Doctor:... -for once is speechless- Rose.

Rose: -hands on hips- Who the hell is this?

Martha: -looks at Rose- Whose this?

Doctor: Uh. I. Um. This is really awkward.

Martha: -grabs him- Doctor whats going on?

Rose: -pushes Martha- Get away from him!

Martha: Don't push me. -pushes back-

Rose: b***h! -tackle-

Doctor: -stares at the cat fight on the TARDIS floor- ... -rushes away and comes back with a camara- This will be a hit on youtube. -moves closer and gets hit by a wayward foot- OW!

------

Okay thats more of the crack version but it would be funny.

Catfight a la Sarah Jane but worse. Then Martha would probably be some sort of love hero and explain how emo the Doctor's been over her. Then they'd become best friends.

I think it would be a bad fanfic. Oh, wait. It IS a bad fanfic. Well technically, it's about a hundred thousand bad fanfics... but who's counting?

Technically, Rose could never find a alternative universe Doctor, the Timelord's existed out of time.
As it were, they had to- they were the overseers who made sure nothing ******** up in any timeline.

Either way, my thought on what it would have been like if they had met properly and had been introduced is fairly simple and to the point.
"b***h is going dooown."

Hahah.
Yeah, I think I'm funny at any rate.

But to tell the whole truth.
I don't think Rose ever expected him to go on alone.
Forever.

Having met Sarah Jane and finding out that the Doctor does take up companions on a regular basis it may have evened out the blow of seeing Martha.

That's my opinion of what it should have been like.
As the Doctor doesn't really age exactly on what we would call 'normal' standards he could have been without a companion for a long time before meeting Martha.

...and then Rose would get upset because the Doctor didn't exactly say they were in love, and then it would get really really bad... o_0

Oiy, its not his fault he got cut off before he could tell here he loved her, they ran out of ink when they were printing the script so it got cut out.

But seriously the hole closed before he could finish his sentence.

Actually, in a confidential episode I saw, they said the reason he didn't finish his sentence was not only because the hole closed off, but because the Doctor is not entirely human he can't say that he loves someone. That's why after the hole closed off and they showed the doctor in the TARDIS crying, he opened his mouth to say "I love you" to himself and didn't say anything. And that's why in the s4 finale when Rose asked "What was the end of that sentence?", the Doctor said "Does it need saying?". So because he's not entirely human, he's unable to say he loves someone. He can think it all he likes, but the words "I love you" can never pass through his lips. That's what they said anyway.

And I haven't seen that Confidential episode despite owning the boxset, mainly 'cause I cry every time I get to that part. That's an interesting way to put it but still..of course the Doctor isn't human, pfft. confused

Yeah! I'm exactly the same! I always cry at that bit! It's funny because I own the s2 and s4 boxsets because they're my favourite, but they're also the two with the devastating endings! I've made it worse for myself! I also got (for some silly reason) the Doomsday music and The Rueful Fate of Donna Noble music on my iPod, and I'm almost crying when I listen to that too!

I know exactly how you feel. Were you bawling your eyes out at the end of s4? I was for half an hour after the episode finished!

I'm the exact same way, I don't have the sound track though because I know that would make me sad. I wonder why those seasons seem to be people's favorites?

When I first heard it, "This is Gallifrey: Our Childhood, Our Home" (season three) was one of the saddest pieces for me to listen to.

I don't know. Maybe because David's in them and maybe people don't like Martha as much as Rose and Donna. Idk.

I just listened to that on iTunes. It doesn't sound very sad. What was happening while that music was playing on the show? You'd probably be sad because it relates to that. Although I don't remember much of series 3 so you'll have to explain it to me.
