"Hey!" she raised her hands over her face to protect herself from the water gun and laughted. Such a cute pokemon. Elizabeth reached down into the boat and grabed her bag. She fubbled through it having taken onl the minimal with her. A pictuer of her home, some cookies and berries to eat on the way, her pencil case and sketch book, some spare clothes, her DS and recharge aswell as some games to play. All her worldly possentions next to her mother's pearl blue necklace but that never left her neck. She frowned a little. "Boy, my life has just been such a blast." she said sarcasitly.

She pulled out her sketch book and a pencil, sketching the small pokemon on paper. "You have the good life. You only take orders if your caught. You go where you please. Why is my life so..So complicated!" she exclaimed sudenly, trusting the book down on her lap. She couldn't draw now. Sighing she put the book away while getting out a cookie. She crushed it in her hand and spreakled the dust into the water for the pokemon to eat.

The Horsea quirked his head at her. She was an odd human, to be sure, but seemed nice enough. Leaping out of the water, the Pokemon tried to look at the book in her lap, but couldn't make heads or tails of the markings on it. Ah well...ooo, cookie!

The Horsea eagerly gobbled up the sweet cookie crumbs, cooing happily in thanks at the human girl. She was VERY nice! He should help her...

Leaping playfully over the waves, he made his way to the back of her boat. He may not be very big, but he was determined. Butting his head up against the edge of the boat, he started swimming as hard as he could, slowly turning the tip of the boat towards the direction he wanted it. Once it was pointing the right way, he dashed forward, leaping through the waves in that direction and hoping to catch the girl's attention. She would know what he wanted right? That she needed to go that way? Just in case she didn't, he hurried back, butting his head against the back of the boat and swimming with all his might.

Elizabeth worried as the small pokemon tryed to move the boat on his own. "Oh please don't hurt yourself!" she cryed to the pokemon as she ran to the back of the boat to watch him. She dipped her hands into the water and gently grasped the pokemon, pulling out of the water. She cuddled him and petted his head. "You seem to know where I should go but the boat lost power a few days ago..Even if I wanted to go I couldn't...." she said sadly to the pokemon..

The tiny Water-type squirmed and struggled a bit at first, though calmed at the cuddling. That was nice. He was just trying to help though. He knew which way she needed to go to reach land and she needed to get there soon. If she didn't, she'd get sick. He knew humans didn't do well out here on the ocean after too long.

Glancing around the inside of the boat, he wondered if she had one of those things that humans carried...it was a wooden board....a flat plank-like thing. He had no idea what they were called, but when the boats went quiet like this one, they dipped them into the water to push them along to get back to shore. She had to have one of those in here, right?

She walked around the boat cuddling the pokemon. In comfert her knowing she wasn't totally alone out her in the open ocean. "It's times like these I wish I had become a trianer...That way I could have a pokemon use surf to get me to land." she looked to the small pokemon, "No offence to you or anything. I'm quiet glad your here. Makes me feel as if I am importent to something in this dark world." she told him quietly.

Trilling softly, the Horsea nuzzled the girl sadly. He had to do something...but what? She wouldn't let him push the boat and she didn't seem willing to look for one of those paddling boards. He'd have to get creative...

...that's it! Wriggling out of the girl's arms, he hopped to the back of the boat and onto the edge. He braced himself carefully...and shot as strong a Water Gun as he could muster into the water below. YES! The boat pushed forward; if slowly, it was better than nothing! At least he'd managed to get the boat pointing in the right direction before she'd pulled him out of the water! Trilling happily in victory, he waved a fin at the human, then turned and shot another Water Gun. Now they were getting somewhere!

"Wow! Good thinking little guy! Now we are getting somewhere!" she exclaimed. Though, the question was where...The Horsea seemed to know where it was going. "I'm trusting you..." she said, nuzzling the pokemon cheek with her own. Liz didn't trusted people or pokemon easly. This was rare for her but she was happy. "I am so giving you my last cookie!" she told him.

Pausing just long enough to trill happily and nuzzle the human's cheek back, the Horsea was pleased that she was letting him take over at last. Of course he knew where he was going! He lived here, didn't he? She certainly didn't look like she did, anyway.

Spurred to new energy by the promise of an entire cookie all to himself, the little water dragon resumed shooting Water Guns into the waves, pushing the boat forward with increasing ease as the inertia of the moving boat picked up. They'd be there in no time at this rate! Before too long, a shadow loomed on the horizon...

...the first signs of an island that rose in the distance.

The hours dragged on as the two started to close the distance to the island, but the heat was starting to get to the girl. She hung her head as she losely held onto the horsea in one hand and the cookie in the other. The world was starting to spin and blur as the lack of water Liz had was evdented. She had been leaning on the side of the boat. "I'm a...just going to...." she muttered as she tryed to stand on her own to feet, loosing her balance. She dropped both the horsea and the cookie into the ocean while tumbling to the floor of the boat, her world going black.

How long was she out for? She brifely came back to the consious world. She herd the waves crashing along something...The beach. She knew that sound anywhere...It was like home..On Cinnabar...How many years had it been since the volcano went off again? She tryed to remeber as her eyes flickered, remaining barely open. Stars. She saw stars. It must have been night. She must have been drifting for a couple of hours. Her breathing was hard and shallow as she made an unadudible sound. Hello? Is someone there...Please someone...Help me... She once again blacked out.

A tiny blue form streaked down the shoreline, slicing through the breaking waves in the shallows. He hadn't wanted to leave her, but the floating boat thing seemed stuck and he was sure she wouldn't go anywhere while he left to get help. Now, the Horsea lead a trio of men dressed in guard uniforms towards the beached boat. It looked empty from this distance and from his low viewpoint, but a tall leap verified that the girl was indeed still there, though asleep. At least, he hoped she was asleep.

"Well, look at what we have here. The little guy really did have something to show us, didn't he, guys?"

The guard chuckled, seeming non-too-concerned about the girl's appearance or her well-being. Only amused.

"Looks like it. Well, guess we'd better get her up to the lab, eh? I'm sure they'll know what to do with her, won't they?" the second man winked to the others with a knowing grin. They answered with their own smirks while moving to lift the unconscious young woman from the boat. The second man, and the last one to speak, paused long enough to recall the Horsea into his Pokeball and clip it back onto his belt. "Good job, Squirt," he muttered quietly, patting the Pokeball affectionately while the other two men were busy. He set his face back into an impassive look of amusement before rejoining the other two for the trek back to the lab from the beach; now with an added 'burden.'

Was this-this really Cinnibar? The volcano! Mom the valcano is going off! Our house...Mom..Dad...Your...In the lava...Burning...No...

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Liz shot up and started to scream her head off, before stopping to pant. She gripped the side of the bed as hard as she could..Bed? She opened her eyes and looked around in a painic. Where was she? This wasn't Cinnibar. "Where am I? WHERE AM I?" the terrified girl began to scream again.

"Woah! Calm down, young lady. One little shot couldn't have hurt that much!" While there was surprise evident in the man's voice, there was also the slightest trace of amusement. Still apparently unnoticed by the disoriented young woman, the doctor leaned back in the chair he had placed by her cot-like bed.

"You've spent quite a while out there in the elements, haven't you?" He took on a light scolding tone; one could almost imagine him shaking his finger at her in shame. "No food, no water...it's a wonder you're already back with us, though you'll be weak for some time definitely. We'll get some liquids into you, then try solid food in a day or two. For now, sip on some water and juice, since you're conscious again. I suppose we won't need that I.V. if you're well enough to drink...just don't drink too fast or you'll only make yourself sick and we'll have to start all over again."

He sounded like somebody's father. Lecturing and coaching all while muttering distractedly to himself.

"We've got some cool bottled water in here already. Start with that and I'll have the kitchen send down some juices and sports drinks. You have any particular favorites? You need to drink quite a bit to replace your lost fluids and electrolytes, so you might as well have something you like." He stood and crossed the room, pausing before what looked like a speaker in the wall, looking back at her expectantly.

There is a scary old man in my room...Shot? What shot? Hey! My arm hurts! b*****d! Liz seemed to mubble the last word as the pain from the shot became evident to her. She rubbed the arm that was in pain, half listening to the old man lectuer her like she was a little kid.

This guy is totally a prevet. I bet he runs a porno ring...Or looks at little kids or just boobs in general on the net. I feel sorry for any lady that been with him. He comes near me I'm yelling rape at the top of my lungs and hitting him with something pointy...The lamp beside my bed will do...Who is he calling weak? I could kick his a** any day! Stupid old fart. I bet he isn't even a doctor! What the hell did he give me anyways? It really hurts. I hate needles! Where is my bag? My sketch book is in that! And my game boy! OMG if he stole my game boy I'll kick his a**! Just smiles and nod Liz...Plot his doom later, finding game boy is first on the list. God, does this guy ever shut up? Read my mind bozo, death rays are shooting out of my eyes right now...My mother's pearls! Where are the-Oh, good..I didn't lose them. I would kill my self if I did...Did he just ask me something? Something about a drink... Liz's mind wandered through the entier talk. "Ummm...Orange or lemonad...I like lemonad the most."

Fortunately for Dr. Hakan, since he'd already administered the young lady's injection, he had no further need or desire to be anywhere near her again. Instead, he only nodded at her answer, then pressed a small button on the wall by the speaker...which turned out to be an intercom. "Dr. Hakan here. Bring the young lady some orange sports drinks and lemonade. As many as she would like and can drink. We need to get her electrolytes replenished as quickly and safely as possible. I have other things to attend to, so remember to bring her anything she needs."

He released the button without bothering to see if anyone on the other end responded. They'd heard him and were probably already carrying out his orders. He smiled back at the young woman with a nod. "You'll be well taken care of, dear, so no worries. I have other patients to attend to as I mentioned, but if you need anything at all, just push the button on the intercom and ask for it like I did. They've been instructed to bring you whatever you want or need." He started to leave, then paused in the door. "Oh yes, the guards said that they found a bag in the boat with you. They picked it up as well when they brought you in for medical care. You'll find it under your cot if you were wondering. Let me know if you need anything else, my dear." Without waiting for an answer, he slipped through the door and was gone. The door locked quietly behind him.

"My dear my a**." the young adult flipped the closed door off. She shuddered violently and rubbed her arm again. Why did it hurt so much. She reached under her bed and grabed her bag, checking to make sure everything was still there. Once she was satified, she took out her game boy and turned it on. "I be that guy is a rapist too....yet..." the girl paused as he viewed the room more carefully. "Why do I feel I'm not leaving this place?" she shuttered again. "No...That's just the psycho's drug talking. I'll get out of here. One way or another....Man, don't these people have any sence of art? White walls? Blak!"
