Her emerald eyes fawned over his muscles, still confused a bit by his actions yet entranced at the same time. As he moved closer she attempted to take a step back so she could watch, but caught herself and seemed to let out a rough snort of a laugh. Obviously, she was giddy to see what the bird would do next, but him getting close was making her watching out of the question.
As his arms moved around her belly, she squirmed a second while a strange shiver spread through her system. Before she could react however, she was hoisted up and held to a furry body belly-up. Her forelegs bent down as her hind ones waved in the air, before she tried to secure herself with her tail. It moving for balance a moment before curling up to make it seem like a U almost, her head lifting to blink dazed at her captor, asking what exactly was going on.

Ah, poor thing, she looked startled. Carl chuckled softly and lowered her back down, making sure to be careful with his cargo that was still at too tender of an age to be pained or damaged. Those scars would come later in life, or hopefully not at all, but nomatter the time of comming - he would not be the cause. Once she was safely lowered, Carl took a set beside her, leaning back on one arm while observing her expression to see if she liked it.
Granted, he had another talent he'd like to show, but he didn't exactly have the means to exhibit it.

Chortling a bit in her own gruff murmers, Nanet settled herself back down on her feet and looked around a moment. With a bit of a whistful sigh, she finally looked back to the lounging bird and scuttled a bit closer. Nudging him softly, she showed her sign of thanks with her bright emerald eyes, wondering what next would come from meeting her new friend.
With a small grin, she patted her tail, as if feeling his wonder for her, and than just looked back to her mother and around the room. Her mind was distracted by the beauty about it, jumping from each stuffed creature while she just enjoyed being next to her newfound friend.

Carl grinned and gently patted her on the head, minding not to let his claws scuff the scales as he watched her in her fascination. If she thought this part of the shop was nice, he wondered what she'd think of the back. Than again - her mother may not appreciate him luring him into the rooms that changed so often that you might never see the same place twice, although he had been fortunate enough to discover his and Trea's castle had set itself down to one door.
His attentions turned to the back passage, and then to Takiko. "So, has anyone told you about the back yet?"

The alligator just blinked, before that same purr like noise came from the back of her throat. Idly, she wondered if she could lick the new friend she had, knowing that was a sort of sign of affection thanks to the children's books that were read to her.
Instead, she was distracted by his next question, and her large green eyes showed a bit of questioning, clearly having no idea what he was talking about and not taking the hint from his glance to her owner/mother.

Obviously not. Carl pondered whether or not he should go into detail, but came to the conclusion that ignorance really wasn't so blissful - especially now that he'd stirred her curiousity. "There are doors back there that take you to different sorts of places. I think some are meant just for quests but, if you can reach the handles, you can go other places to."

She blinked again, before her curiosity got the best of her and she turned towards the back of the room, the toys and shelves forgotten. Her mind traveled to the idea that it was a whole new world, and suddenly her interest was greatly stimulated.
It didn't take but a few moments for her imagination to run wild, the poet in her dreaming up beautiful worlds of make-believe and romance, and she couldn't hold in her little sigh. Turning back to Carl after a long moment, she wondered if she could portray her want to check it out, just to experience it for a fleeting moment.

The look wasn't easily mistaken. Now what had he managed to stir? True, he did know one of the doors well, but others were mysteries, and he hadn't yet learned her ability well enough to rely on it. However...
Such a look with those big green eyes.
He sighed and looked towards her owner. "Would it be alright if we went in the back? You can come if you like - although I don't know what happens to humans when they go in."
