I agree with texashammerhead; I think the child you were leading was yourself.
I dream in some symbolism, myself. I don't usually see symbols, but my dreams won't make sense until I figure out the metaphors they display for me.

My dreams are too weird for me to analyze. I just take them at face value normally. Like once, I gave birth to a kitten. eek domokun I don't know why!! gonk

Yeah, I have reeeeeeally weird dreams. But it makes sense when I remember that I have a wild imagination that is almost boundless.

That would probably do it. ^^
The subconscious has a weird way of working.
Like taking two images that don't normally go together, for instance.
It happens to me, too.
Not the kitten thing, but you get the idea, lol.
