The older male was feeling a bit more at ease now. Slightly moreso when the other patted his shoulder. His tail flicked happily behind him and a curious look crossed him. "Why would someone call you a bad dog because of that? You're not a bad dog." Mariih said cocking his head to the left. He thought about Bummers next question for a second before he nodded and smiled.
"Yes, I'm alone." he answered. "And I'd love to go with you. I don't want you to get lost... and I don't want to be alone. It's too... scary." He admitted shaking off a little more water, careful not to wet Bummer.

"That's what everyone says, but Mama doesn't seem to agree with everyone else," Bummer said quietly, ears and tail drooping slightly. It always made him sad that his Mama called him 'Bad Dog' a lot. That wasn't even his name! How could she get him so confused with someone named 'Bad Dog?' The young german shepherd really didn't understand it at all.. all he knew was that when she called him that, he got in lots of trouble, and usually had to spend the night outside. Then again, he spent most every night outside. Apparently Mama didn't trust him inside the house when everyone else was sleeping. "Being alone is very scary," he whispered quietly, shivering at the thought of all those cold nights he spent outside the house all by himself. The night time was especially scary to him when he was alone. "Um... which way should we go? Home is back that way, but you're looking for someone too..." Bummer glanced up towards the sky and shivered lightly, scooting a little closer to Mariih. "And it's starting to get a little dark..."

Mariih sighed a little and nodded. "Some people have different opinions, I guess." He said softly, somewhat saddened by the thought. He'd never been called a 'bad dog' himself, so he couldn't really relate in that aspect. Was it really that hurtful? Mariih didn't want to find out.
"I'm not exactly looking for someone... she ran away from me, because I upset her a little. This is her way of getting back at me. She'll be back at home eventually." He explained looking up at the sky. It was getting a little late. He enjoyed the nightlife moreso than the day, but he didn't want to still be lost while it was dark. "I-I'm not sure which way to go... I guess I could... go with you... and then make my way back after..." he said letting the cooling breeze bite at his wet body. "I don't know. What would you prefer to do?" He asked looking back at the other german shepherd for an answer.

The young german shepherd looked up at the older canine and thought for a few moments, nibbling his lower lip. He was truly horrible at making decisions, but everyone would probably be in bed already. He'd have to slip inside quietly just to get his dinner as it was, but... Mariih also needed to dry off. Bummer smiled lightly. "We'll go to my home first, and I'll get you some towels so that you can dry off... and you can probably stay there if you don't think you'll be able to find your way back home tonight," the young canine said softly, lightly tugging Mariih's shirt sleeve to lead him towards his own home. "Home isn't too far away from here," he added quietly. Bummer honestly didn't care if he got in trouble for going into the house at night, he wanted to help Mariih dry off and get home, and if he had to wait until morning at Bummer's house, then he'd explain it in the morning after Mariih left.

Mariih cracked a smile and nodded again. "Alright, your place it is. You... don't think anyone would mind, do you?" he asked hesitating slightly before following the younger male. "I mean... No body else really knows who I am and... it's getting late and..." he started saying nervously.
He wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea of being with strangers for a night. But then he didn't have a terrible lot of choice in the matter. He wasn't going to be able to leave until morning, especially if he wanted to maintain good health.
A sneeze broke his worried thoughts and he smiled. "Thank you for this. It makes a big difference." he said softly brushing some wet locks out of his face from the sneeze.

"Nobody will mind," Bummer said with a smile, though he was lying. Of course some people would mind, but they were so a**l. Mama might mind, too, but she'd be less mad once Bummer explained everything to her. Mama was a good person, even though she was so mean to him sometimes. He still loved her. "Besides, we get a lot of visitors that only one or two people know," he added lightly. That part was true, but that didn't mean nobody would get mad at him. Mariih could just sleep in Bummer's room, since he always had to sleep outside anyway.

It didn't take too long before the made their way to the dimly lit, quaint little house. A couple of lights remained on, but those were probably the lights of people who had company or something. "C'mon, we gotta be quite so we don't wake anyone up," he whispered softly. Reaching out, he took Mariih's hand and opened the door quietly. Stepping inside, it was amazing at how quiet such a hyper-active, young canine such as Bummer could be. His footsteps could barely even be heard as he made his way to the bathroom with Mariih. He got out a couple of towels and draped one over Mariih's shoulders the best he could. "I'll be right back," he murmured quietly. He disappeared around the corner and opened a door, turning on a dim light. He pulled clothes that were too big for him, and returned. "You can change into these, and sleep in this room," he said as he led Mariih towards the room. "It's mine, but I, " he paused for a moment, "... don't use it," he lied again. It was that he couldn't use it, but... oh well.

Mariih was mostly silent the entire journey, and quiet still while they were inside the house. He was getting the sense that even thought Bummer said it'd be fine, it wouldn't. Still he didn't have a lot of choice. He tried to dry most of his long black hair on the way to the room Bummer lead him to, while holding the clothes he'd been given.
He frowned curiously at the 'don't use it' comment. "Don't... use it?" he asked in a low whisper, "Why don't you use it?" He didn't think it was a spare room, but maybe it was. He dried a little more of himself off roughly so he wouldn't create puddles from standing in one place, though most of the water had come off on the way there. To ensure not wet or muddy prints Mariih had take his shoes off at the door.
"Is there... anything you're not telling me?" he asked, that little pause the other had taken was a little awkward.

"Yeah, I don't use it," Bummer said lightly. Finally, after listening to the second question, the young canine lightly crossed on arm over his stomach to rub his other arm. His feet shuffled against the floor lightly, as he had removed his shoes and wore only thick black socks. "I..." The german shepherd paused, bright golden eyes watering up a bit. It was embarrassing to tell people he had to sleep outside. Sure, he had a blanket or two, but they were old and worn. Mama kept trying to give him newer, better blankets and a soft little bed, but... the older blankets just reminded him of when he was a puppy, and when he was a good boy. He turned away from Mariih quickly, nibbling on his lip. "I... sleep there," he said quietly, pointing out the window to show two raggedy old blankets out on the porch. "Goodnight," Bummer said quickly, hurrying himself out the door. He made it outside quickly, and managed to snag a sandwich that was set out for him on the way, leaving the rest of the food there. Tears of embarrassment rolled down his cheeks as he moved towards the worn covers, finishing off his sandwich. He sat there for a few moments, before glancing back at the window, curling up beneath one cover while the other was beneath him. It was very embarrassing... and he felt a little bit like an outcast because of it. "Mama loves me, I know it..." he whispered quietly to himself while holding himself and the cover, curling up tighter. He told himself that every night, but it never was convincing enough. Mama was always loving on Faded... she probably didn't love him very much at all.

The older canine frowned when he pointed to the old blankets. He didn't get a chance to respond before Bummer left. How awkward. He looked down at the clothes he been given and looked back in the direction bummer left in, and then out the window to the blanket. He bit down on his bottom lip feeling all awkward about the whole situation. What was he supposed to do in such a situation?
He hurriedly got changed into the dry clothes and dried his hair out a little more before hanging his wet clothes where he could to let them dry out properly. He bit down on his bottom lip again, looking around the room. What was he doing here? In this house? Belonging to people he didn't know... with his host outside... Outside... he was alone in this room of a strangers house... alone...
It's only been a minute or so and Mariih flipped. His heartbeat was racing while he rushed back towards the door as soundlessly as possible. He pulled the door open and rushed out, latching onto Bummer tightly. "Don't leave me! I don't want to be alone!" he said in a clearly panicked voice.

Bummer choked back tears and blinked, holding back a suprised howl. His heart had skipped at suddenly being latched onto. Lightly, he patted Mariih on the head, not quite sure what else to do. He could hug him... but... the other might find that a little awkward. Bummer thought for a few moments, before settling on giving Mariih a light, one-armed hug, lightly brushing back his hair in a comforting manner. "I... won't... but... you can't sleep outside. It gets so cold... and I'm..." the young canine paused again, and turned his eyes away from Mariih, "... I'm not allowed to sleep inside," he finished quietly. "Faded can sleep in there with you? On the floor, or the foot of the bed...? She's mute, but she's very nice..." he said softly. He really didn't want the other german shepherd to have to sleep outside on such a cold night when there was a perfectly warm bed in the house. "Or... I can go ask if I can sleep in the house, for just tonight... Maybe they'll let me... just for tonight," he said softly, more to himself than Mariih. "I just really don't think it's a good idea for you to sleep outside..." Bummer slipped back into thought, absent-mindedly running his fingers lightly through Mariih's hair, one arm lightly hugging him still as he tried to think real hard about what he could do. Finally, he pulled his hand back from Mariih's hair, and his arm away from him, a blush falling across his cheeks. "C'mon... I'll... go ask and see if I can sleep inside so that you won't be alone..."

The other german shepherd had been listening to him, hoping that the younger male's voice would calm him. It did. He relaxed a lot more in the other's grip. "Even if... you can't... I can sleep outside... I used to all the time... My whole fa-... everyone did." he said trying to calm himself still. He felt like an idiot now. Here he was, a 22 year old german shepherd who was raised in the wild, and he was clinging to a younger male as if should ever let go he'd fall into a spike-filled pit. He calmed down a whole heap more when Bummer ran his fingers through his hair and hugged him. He let out a deep breath of relief and blinked when he let go.
"Th-thank you. I'm sorry..." he muttered softly straightening himself out. he found that he'd somehow managed to curl himself up against Bummer without realising.

"You're welcome," the younger german shepherd finally piped up. Noting that Mariih had managed to curl up against him, he put an arm around the older canine's shoulders and gave him a full lick on the cheek, wagging his tail. "Come on," he coaxed lightly, lipping at Mariih's ear for a moment before standing and stretching. He took the older male's hand and led him back inside, disappearing into a room. A few moments later he came running out of that room and stopped infront of Mariih, grinning like a fool. "We get to sleep inside on a bed~" he sang out happily, throwing his arms around Mariih's waist, hugging onto him. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!"

Mariih smiled with the lick. The other's tongue against his cheek was strangely comforting. He'd not had someone do such a thing before. He stood up himself and gathered his thoughts properly before letting Bummer lead him back inside.
Outside the room Mariih fidgeted nervously, nibbling on his lower lip until the younger male came running up to him. He was relieved when he was told they could sleep inside. He couldn't deny that it was much warmer and comfortable indoors than it was outside on this particular night. Especially when you were still a little wet from a certain accident that occurred earlier. Maybe he should see someone about his phobia. It usually did more damage than good.
He got a shock when the younger male wrapped his arms around him. He wasn't used to being so close to someone, particularly a younger male he barely knew.
A smile formed on Mariih's face and he hugged the other male in return, not exactly sure how he should be reacting. "Why are you thanking me? It's not like I really did anything..." He asked softly, a little confused about the last thing he'd said. He thought he knew why, but asked anyway just to be sure.

Bummer blinked and looked up at Mariih with his big, golden brown eyes. The way the light caught them made them shine and glow softly, though they were much more gorgeous in the sunlight. "Well, because you're here I get to stay the night inside," he finally stated giddily after a moment of silence and contemplation. Bummer released Mariih and stretched for a moment, looking around the house before smiling back towards the other canine. It was obvious that the younger male had little to no idea as to what personal space was. Some said his occupation was a personal space invader, which didn't seem too far from the truth, though he never had the intention to invade anyone's space. He was just... very clingy and affectionate, being starved of it for most of his life, until Andie came along. Even though she claimed to hate him, and threatened to get rid of him, there were still those moments where she just grabbed him and held onto him, and pet him until he thought he was about to burst from the affection. "Come on," he panted out excitedly, making his way into the room once more, this time to dive-bomb onto the bed. He soon curled up into a ball on the right side of the bed, fitting his entire, frail body onto one, large and fluffy pillow, as if it were a doggy bed.

'Thought so...' was the older male mental reply. The topic on his mind soon changed from where the other slept to the younger canines eyes. "So pretty..." he muttered under his breath without realising as he followed Bummer into the room again. He was glad to see the other male happy again. He didn't really know how to deal with upset and depressed people.
He chuckled a little, watching him curl up on the pillow and cocked his head to the side. "Why, pray tell, are you curled up on a pillow like that? I thought that's what a bed was for. And that the pillows were for under your head." He asked curiously. He looked somewhat cute curled up in a little bundle. Mariih was going to have no arguments about where he slept.
The older german shepherd shook his head quickly when he realised what he was thinking about. 'Mariih, you perverted creep. Keep your dirty thoughts outside...' He scorned himself.
"I hope nobody at home worries about me." Mariih said casting his gaze out a window. He didn't really. He just didn't want his mind to be filled with unwanted thoughts again.
