"Lets see..." Valens ears turned forward as the fight was announced as having started and he tested the buttons, tapping each of them to see what they did. Two were for punching, two for kicking, one it seemed blocked incoming attacks. It seemed to be rather simple, he looked over at Alora and waited for her to get used to the controls not going to attack before she was ready as that wasn't very fair or nice.

Punch, kick. Alora tapped the buttons tentatively, and found that she wasn't wincing as she had expected. It really was...kinda fun. She gave a smile to Valens that meant, 'Okay! Let's start!"

Valens moved his character closer, slowly advancing before jumping forward and tried to kick at the other one. He'd not played this version but all fighting games seemed to have secret attacks so he was working on messing with the buttons to try to get one to work while attacking. He was leaving himself a bit open though with this method.

Tap, tap. Her fingers pushed the buttons, and her character aimed a kick at the other. She was surprised that the characters did not sprout bruises, or even blood, like how the zombies had burst apart after a bullet shot in her brother's game. So it wasn't gory, and wasn't exactly violent, which she approved. Alora was delighted, and looked over to Valens with a grin to say thanks.

Valens was fiddling with his buttons, trying to figure out any of the secret moves he could though half distracted when Alora grinned up at him. His ears turned forward then he looked back to the game and squeaked when he realized he was getting beat on when he was paying attention, oops should pay more attention to the game huh? Before he lost.

Kick, punch, kick, punch. Alora gave a small giggle as Valens got distracted, his eyes in her direction. The game ended, proclaiming the winner, and Alora leant against the machine. "That was fun!"

Valens gave a laugh, "Yeah, it was." She'd one the first round, he was able to come back for the second one, then in the third round she had done quite well. He wondered if she knew the workings of the game maybe? His long tail started to swish back and forth, "Wanna go check out some of the other games with me? There are lots of different sorts." Though the fighting games were high on the list of his favorites.

Alora was quite surprised that she won the first match. Mashing these buttons were really, quite fun. She didn't think it was so when she was watching her brother playing. Perhaps it was because he played more...violent. "Okay." She cast a nervous look around before following him. She felt a little bit guilty about leaving her brother behind.

"There are some games where we can win some ticket things, which you trade for prizes." He said, "There is a game where you hit moles with a hammer, a game where you roll balls and try to land them in different holes worth different point levels." He named off a few of them though there were plenty to choose from.

"Win prizes?"Alora tilted her head to a side. It wasn't that she was a fanatic about winning; she found it interesting that you could play games and win prizes. Perhaps that was why so many people came here for...and why her brother kept stuffing those tickets in his pockets, even though she had never seen him exchange them. Yet.
Alora didn't like the sound of the first game he mentioned. Hitting moles? That sounded cruel and violent. Besides, she had met a mole boy from D-Corp, Taren. The dove girl was oblivious to the fact that they weren't real moles.
"Um...what do you suggest?" She asked hopefully, wishing he wouldn't pick that game that squashed moles.

He nodded, "The claw game I was playing is the easiest one to get prizes from, then the basketball one isn't to bad since I am rather tall... hrm.. I think the one is called ski ball... or sky ball? I don't know. Wanna try that one?" He asked.
It was the most straight forward game, you just rolled a ball.

"Basketball?"Alora had heard of it, her brother liked to play it after school and during recess with his friends. Somehow, she suspected he might have made use of his wings to reach the hoop, though she wasn't sure. "Okay."

Valens gave a smile, "Alright, basketball it is." He said then gathered his things before leading the way to where he thought that game was. The only reason they found it was it was a large game and not because his directional sense was on the mark, "You can go first if you want, I will even help you." He was sure that she would do much better if he lifted her up on his shoulders, she'd be almost as tall as a real basketball player then!

The girl looked up at the hoops warily. They did look too tall...but still, she could see why it would be fun. As she watched others try, she remembered what her brother had said, "It's not really about winning or getting the ball through the hoop. It's about having fun."
"Why don't we play together?" She gave Valens a tentative smile as the balls rolled down and picked one up, tossing it at the hoop. It bounced off, however, but Alora merely giggled.

Wow... Alora had a very different outlook on things then he did he realized, she was doing it just for the fun of the game. While yes he liked the fun aspect of it to he was also thinking about the prizes he would get at the end. He watched her as she tried at the game before he gave a smile. Maybe he should try to do as she did?
"Sure, lets play together!" He said, then knelt down next to her, "Here, get up on my shoulders it will let you be at a better height for trying, I can get the balls and hand them up to you."
