He felt badly for interrupting his newest friend, but she just commanded his attention so. “I’m Johnny.” He grinned, a bit lopsidedly, as he rose to move a bit closer. The rain and thunder was noisy enough, and made for hard hearing. Upon sitting again, he made extra precautions to not sit back on his tail. No need looking like a fool twice today.
It didn’t seem to him that these two knew each other, but they were connected by… Nitika? He wondered briefly if she were as wonderful to take in as Hannah was. He felt silly, in truth; tacking a personality onto this female before he even knew her was not something he usually did, but he wished she could just… turn out to be right.
He puffed his whiskers out, looking back and forth between Rochir and Hannah. He felt uncomfortable suddenly, and wriggled slightly to shake it off. This place was beautiful in the dark of night with rain falling all about, and he couldn’t help but hope it would hold that beauty in the warm throws of a golden afternoon.

She giggled and thumped her tail against the ground as he drew closer. “I know, I overheard.” She admitted, somewhat guiltily. She hadn’t made out everything they had said, just his name, and that he was… rocked? She wasn’t sure what that meant, but figured it wasn’t too good. She thought once about repeating her name, for lack of something to say, but dismissed the idea. Acting the way he was, he had caught her name just fine.
The red male knew her. Rochir, she had caught his name too, just now. “Do you know where I could find her? Really, I’ve been looking for her for…” how long had it been? Ages… she had spent her adolescent years away from Nitika, on that side of the river. According to her mother’s behavior, Niti hadn’t been home all that time, either.
“For a long time.” She hoped she was doing well, but didn’t dare ask yet. Maybe she had found a pack to stay with. Maybe she had found true love. Really, Hannah didn’t want to tear her sister away from all that. She just wanted Mama to see her lost daughter again… she wanted Nitika to see her new siblings too!

Flirting, HAH! Why wasn’t it this easy for him? He only got involved with horrid wolves. He wouldn’t tell Hannah this though. Far be it from him to let her in on that fact about Nitika. “We recently joined a pack, together. Ah can take ye there. She should be waitin’ fer me t’ return, anyway.”
That was a lie. She wouldn’t be waiting for him, though she still stayed in the pack. She had moved on, but at least they were still on good terms. The meeting with his father had shaped her up a bit. Not much, just enough to keep her friendly. He could take Hannah there and be done with the whole mess. Maybe that’s what Nitika needed… her sister.
Then again maybe not. Nitika had seemed to be very hateful of the pale female… maybe he shouldn’t take her there. But… he had already said he would. He wasn’t a liar, not too much of one anyway. He would warn her on the way. That would work.

Oh geez, she was so cute, sitting there giggling at him. “Oh, I…” he looked sheepish, and lowered his head. He let his tail thump the ground happily as well. No reason not to, and he was a happy wolf in that moment. How had his life gone so polar opposite in such a short day? He hoped this kind of life would never end.
Leaving? Aww. He really wanted to go with them, but he was dead tired at this point. “Go on, find your sister. I’m looking for mine too…” his voice was suddenly wistful, almost sad. She was out there, he knew it. All it took was finding the right wolves that had known her. Little did he know, one was sitting right next to him… looking for her sister.
Standing, finally, he stretched and shook lightly. He was suddenly taken by exhaustion, and really wanted to lie down somewhere safe and dry. Sadly, that would mean leaving the pretty wolf’s company for a while, though hopefully not too long.

A pack? Well, that was good, Hannah guessed. Together, though? At least this male was personable, and not irritating. She wondered if they really were together, or if she was just assuming things. “Good, I need to see her. Thank you so much.” She stood as well, and shook the excess water from her fur. She wondered if he meant they would leave now… hopefully they would. She needed to see Nitika… but didn’t want to leave Johnny so soon.
“I’m sure you’ll find her, Johnny! If you plan on staying here… “ she paused to look around, fixing the clearing into her memory. “I’ll come back and help you look for her. Promise.” She smiled openly, and softly bumped his hip with hers before trotting to Rochir, to be led to Nitika.
Hopefully he would stay and wait. This seemed like a promising friendship to Hannah… and secretly she hoped for more than that. Sometimes things just worked out that way. Mama and Daddy had been in love at first sight too. She sighed dreamily, and smiled back at Johnny before disappearing into the underbrush after Rochir.
