A large brown wolf with sparing beige highlights and inky black stockings slid into view, Elphaba, Beta. She licked her black lips with a purplish tongue, cleaning tiny beads of blood off her whiskers. Obviously she had been off hunting. She aproached the pair of alphas her tail waving in a gentle rythym of companionship. Devvyl was more than alpha male, Selia more than alpha female. They had been Elphaba's solace since she came to the woods. Packmates. Bonds. Friends.

"I came as soon as I heard," She said with a smile, touching noses with Selia and then playfully shoving her snout to ruffle Devvyl's shoulder fur(like NOOGIES xD) before hopping back a step to survey her leaders with enthusiasm. She was eager to move out, and fell into stride with the others.

Her eyes caught those of little Raine. "Hello again, little one," She whuffed with a hint of a smirk. She glanced around her at the other wolves. A couple of them she didn't know very well, or even at all.

(( I don't quite know how to react to Raine since we're still in the middle of the RP butchaknow. x3 ))

These alphas were nothing like Thayne's old elders. His old pack had been rigidly hierarchial and all but his mum and the babysitters had been stiff-backed old farts.

Devvyl and Selia were... well, nice. He could already tell this pack was going to be different than anything he ever would have known. The realization filled him with so much glee that he couldn't contain it all. So he romped about in the light snow, catching flakes with his tongue and on his nose. He remembered snow -- how much Mum had loved it. He circled Hige playfully, with his ears at attention and his tail like a proud black-and-silver flag, daring the older male to engage with him in a short bout of playtime.

On one of his rounds, though, he nearly ran into the other pup in the pack -- the bluejay-patterned one. As it was, he leaped over her in a quick show of reflex and landed in an awkward splay-legged half-crouch. He gathered himself and trotted up to her curiously. " 'ello," he said. " 'aven' met you yet, but I've 'eard 'bout you. You're Raine, aye?"

Grinning, Elphaba tossed her head with a theatrical flourish.
"So sorry, I had a previous engagement with a preybeast," The brown she-wolf fell into step a few feet behind the leaders so she'd be able to keep in conversation with them, or ready if needed.

"Quite a following you two. Pick up any males for me?" Elphie snorted out a mist of silver. Then she fell into a slightly more serious tone. "I've heard rumors of Faenaro following us south. Is this true?"

(( I think Fae said he was gonna move south.. ))

"I believe so," she responded to Elphaba, and would cease her steps slowly...scenting a wolf coming up towards them. Hige had returned moments before, maybe this was a friend of his? It smelt of that demon pup.

"Hm, I'll be right back." She announced, and would break away from her mate and friend, trotting towards the back of the ground...till she stopped, waiting for the wolf to come into view.

"Who are you?" She questioned calmly, seeing that this wolf seemed to know her place against the pack. She'd glance back to see the pack continue moving, knowing it wouldn't be too hard to follow after them. She'd keep her head and tail high, canting her head at the female before her.

She still smelt of the demon pup...the one she got a horrible feeling from..but, this wolf didn't seem to be a problem at all.

"I see," she smiled to the female...so, she was a friend of Hige's. Well, that was a comforting thought. Her ear swiveled a bit at the next comment the female made, "Which would be?" She questioned Loki quietly, trying not to startle the female before her.

Loki nodded. The pup, Gaara. He befriended me when I thought he would attack, he stood ready to protect me from Faenaro, even though just a pup. He... she faltered a bit, memories stinging. He cried when I made the decision to join your pack. He thinks you.. you don't care for him. she was through, this was it. Would she be banished for even thinking of trying to get Gaara into this pack? these thoughts and many more rushed through her head, making her a bit dizzy. She shook it off internally, and waited.
