Ooh. This really shows how logical SasuSaku really is. It's a perfect connection. Shikamaru is a walking, talking romance plot device -how could I not have seen it before?! From now on, if I'm going to believe any romance clue, it will have to come from Shikamaru, if not from Sasuke or Sakura.
I've always said that Sasuke is Sakura's biggest motivation. I really don't believe that she could have gotten this far in her training if she didn't think of rescuing him for his sake. I mean, I know Naruto comes into play when it comes to her motivation, but both of their motivation is Sasuke. Their secondary motivation, I would think, is each other.

Even with the promise of a lifetime, Naruto was ALREADY on his way to save Sasuke. He just promised Sakura what he had already decided to do for himself.

oh my gosh i just now realized that. thats so adorable!!! *fangirl squeal* blaugh
EDIT: *looks at past post* Good Lord, I've improved a lot on my comment details.
Anyway, let's say that better:
Those are some really good eyes you got there for observing those clues, the Shikamaru comment, Sasori fight, and Sasuke-Naruto convo.
In all three, like everyone has said before a million times (I'm always too late crying ), at least one character in the scene realizes that Sasuke and Sakura have a deep connection.

That's one of the things I hate about bashers of this pairing. They DON'T hate each other. They have plenty of friend-trusting interaction.

remeber in sasuke's fight with gaara, when sakura was pinned to the tree? sasuke said that naruto had to protect her no matter waht! he couldn't stabd to see anymore lovec ones die.
