Yuki, after a few moments, managed to get the backpack securely onto his back. After taking a moment to straiten the straps, he started back. Jayce was still in his way... and he had seen him already... So he might as well go by him, the harm is done anyway. With a sigh he scampered past him, head lowered. He paused for a moment on the other side of the clearing, looking over his shoulder with a slight frown.
"Perhaps, you should do something to focus your anger on... Tear something up, or something."

"Are you volunteering?" he asked Dryly lowering his claw from his skull and onto the soft grass, eyes still closed, keeping his face turned out in front of him. Only knowing that his hair was being blown around because of the feeling of it brushing against his eyelids, “Besides. What do you know about anger? From the looks of you you’ve never been angry in a day of your short life.” he added with a sneer.

"You'd be suprised..." He mumbled, frowning again. Truth was, he did get angry, sometimes. At night, when he was all alone and thinking about his life, the times when he couldnt excape into his fantasy worlds.. When the lonliness builds up so much that all you want to do is scream.
He turned back to the path ahead of him for a moment... then glanced back. A moment couldn't hurt. He arched his back and pulled one of the side pockets on his back pack open, pulling a few sheets of paper from them. Then he turned and slowly scampered back over to him.
"Lonliness can make you very angry sometimes..." He mumbled again, still timidly. He glanced away shyly then leaned down to placed the paper on the grass in front of Jayce. "When that happens, I'll fold up a couple pieces of paper and start tearing them. The more you tear and fold, the harder it gets... It lets out alot of agression, and energy..." He glanced up at him timidly, wondering if he would think he was odd for his methods. "It.. helps me anyway..."

Eyes opening slightly at the pup’s words, he sat stock still, thinking over all the frustration he’s felt throughout his life because of the loneliness he’s experienced. Seems the kid did understand, he looked the part to be one of those out casts people liked to pick on for not being perfect. Head turning just enough to see the paper that Pup had placed before him. Then looked at the pup. “….” Raising a claw and slamming it down onto the paper, driving his claws though it, he drew himself to his feet, head still low, shoulders hunched, eyes locked on the small pup “its not nearly patterned enough to resemble what I really want to sink my claws into” he said, voice retaining a normal tone “paper can only work for so long kid, and then you start growing to hate everyone else”

Yuki beamed as Jayce tore into the paper, thinking that he would take his advice and try the 'therapy'. The sparkle in his eyes drifted away when he spoke. His head lowered and he frowned, ears wilting again.
"I guess so... Sorry..." His front paws rubbed together nerviously. "Do.. you hate everyone?"

“Quit apologizing” Jayce ordered harshly, lifting his head up over his shoulders his face still perfectly unreadable.
Taking a moment to consider the Pups last question. Shaking the paper off his claws, but still holding onto it as he lowered himself back down into the grass. Sliding a nail down the page and slitting it up into shreds. “Do I hate everyone? Well you seem to know things, do you think I hate everyone?” he asked, somewhat bitterly

He whinced slightly at the harsh order, then squirmed a bit, frowning. He almost muttered another sorry for apologizing too much.. but caught it and shut his mouth before he could say it. He frowned and leaned back, trying to seem taller, his scruffy fur puffing slightly. Perhaps if he looked bigger and tougher, Jayce would accept him better. Though of course it failed miserably.
A few moments went by as he pondered the answer to his own question. Finally he just shrugged and looked back to him. "I... try not to judge others. I don't know you... So I'm not sure. But.. I don't think you hate everyone..." A shy smile crossed his muzzle. "If you did.. you really would be tearing up someone, instead of paper right now..."

Red pupils slid up from the paper, resting on the pup. Pulling his claw away from the paper and crossing it over his other claw, a habit picked up from his uncle. Tilting his head down, hiding his smirk. While Jayce put a front up, and believed very firmly that it was true, Jayce knew that the kid also was saying the truth about him to. Apart of Jayce didn’t like hating most of Candyland, but his front kept him bitter. He nodded slowly.
“Why can’t you judge people?” he asked, an unseen brow rising “usually you can tell what someone’s like just by looking at them. And besides” he sneered “its not like its going to stop then from Judging you” He knew very well how to answer his own questions. His only intention was to make the kid nervous, or try to snap the pup out of this timid awkward attitude he had… whatever came first.

A sad smile overcame Yuki, his eyes focused on the ground in front of him. "I know.. it might not make much of a difference.. And people will still judge me..." He was silent a moment, thinking again. "I guess... I just hold onto the hope that maybe.. someday, I'll meet someone that's like me... Lonely too, and wanting to know people. And... if that person if ugly.. like me... Or odd looking... I would miss them, if I judged everyone by what I see.. You can't see people's hearts. Or minds." His cheeks turned slightly pink, realizing that what he just said must sound very corny and cliche`.

Jayce snorted, though it was not intended for what the pup was saying. It was more at the memories of when he himself was a pup, how much hope he had for the world. “Well eventually you give up hoping” he scoffed, turning his head away from the pup “you’ll realize after far to long of waiting, that others are not going to be as open as you want them… or hope them to be” A soft hiss escaped his lips, jerking his head back at the pup “so just do yourself a favor and give up before you hurt yourself”
With out warning, Jayce pushed himself to his long legs, turned around and started to walk away from the pup, unexpectedly pausing, he lingered there for a moment, before glancing around, eyes narrowed, mouth turned down in a scow “You mind stale candy?” he asked with a slight grumble,

His expression turned sadder. He had often pondered giving up... Just wallowing in a corner in his gingerbread house, dreaming his life away. He wouldnt get hurt, but his life would be nothing but pain then. He sighed softly and glanced up as Jayce got up to leave.
Another one turning his back on him. Someone else to judge him, to leave him. He stood and turned to leave as well, to go home, alone.
His ears twitched up as he heard Jayce address him again. He looked over his shoulder, looking bewildered, and underneath his thick glasses.. hope glistened. "I... I don't mind it... Even if it's stale, it's usually still sweet.."

"..." Seeming suddenly very uncomfortable for a moment as he stood in silence. he growled softly, stamping his paw in an intimidating manner on the ground. "Yeah well. That’s all I eat.” He paused again, trying to find a way to word his invitation. “What say you help me harvest my stash, seeing as you pissed me off pretty bad earlyer, I say you owe me.” he finished, still starring at the pup with harsh eyes. Satisfied with how he worded that, his form eased up, shoulders slouching again.

The pup whinced slightly when he stomped, turning around slowly to blink at him with large eyes, made larger by the glasses. Had he heard right? Surely... He just blinked at him slowly for another a minute or so, gaping. Then he blushed and rubbed his red cheeks, smiling. Even if the offer was said harshly... He was going to be able to spend time with someone! A social experience!
Quickly adjusting his backpack, he nodded quickly and scampered over to him till he was beside him. "I wouldn't mind that at all!"

He watched the Pup as he advanced towards him, not moving until the pup was standing next to him. And even them, he just stood there for a moment staring down at the pup. Thankful his Skull showed no emotions, or it would show his eyebrows arced in a softly wondered look. Even after such cruel words, this pup seemed so desperate for company he would happily go with Jayce. “Just keep up” he sighed impatiently snatching back his attitude in a split second. And he continued on, walking casually, but his long body, one stride was still two for many pups. He walked in silence, starring determinedly ahead. Can’t helping but wonder, if he would have ended up different if he had been reached out to.

Yuki smiled nerviously up at him for that moment of staring. And when he started off, he happily joined him, almost jogging to keep his place at Jayce's side. His brows knitted together in determination, tail swishing back and forth happily. He couldnt help but let his mind go wild.. Hoping and dreaming. Sure, this was just a quest for stale candy, a simple task... But what is him and Jayce became friends? Would he mind Yuki tagging along on adventures and other more exciting quests? His life could have meaning, a purpose!
Though... what is it wouldnt be like that. And a few minutes from now Jayce realized how horrible his company was. He frowned then and suddenly felt very nervious. So far it had went ok.. But what if he was disapointed again? Ears drooping a bit, he kept on trotting beside him, keeping up and thinking to himself.
