how does dumbledore die?

Do you want the long version or the short version?

Short version: Snape kills him.

Long version: Malfoy has become a Death Eater. Voldemort assigned him the assasination of Dumbledore on pain of having his mother killed. His mother, worried that he will die in the attempt, asks Snape to make The Unbreakable Vow. In other words, if he breaks the vow, he dies. Snape's Vow included that he would help Draco, protect him, and finish the job for him if he should fail.

Malfoy fixes a cabinet that was stored in the Room of Requirement that happens to be a porthole through a matching cabinet in that one store in Knocturn Alley. ((Same cabinet that one kids got stuck in in the fourth book.))

When He finally fixes the cabinet, a bunch of Death Eaters come through it. Hermione, Ginny, Ron, and the members of the Order who are present engage them in 'battel'. One of the Death Eaters puts the Dark Mark up in the sky above a tower, as previously planned, and Malfoy gets ready to meet Dumbledore up ther.

Dumbledore and Harry had been away 'in Hogsmeade', and will obviously come straiaway without caution upon seeing the Dark Mark, seeing as it usually means that someone has been murdered.

When they reach the tower, Dumbledore sends Harry for Snape, and tells him to put on his invisibility cloak. Harry pus on the cloak, but before he can head towards the stairs, Draco comes out and uses Expelliarmus on Dumbldore. Luckily, Dumbledore had enough time to use a nonvocal Petrificus Totalus on Harry so that he can't move to interfere.

Malfoy doesn't have it in him to kill Dumbledore, so he monologues. A bunch of Death Eaters, not including Snape, come up behind him after a short while and urge him on ((BTW: Dumbledore is weak from earlier exertion)).

Snape, apparently having been summoned by other members of the order, or a teacher, or both, comes out just as they're realiziong that Malfoy's lost the nerve to kill Dumbledore. Dumbledore pleads with Snape. He says "Severus, please."

And then Snape comes forward, pulls out his wand, and casts Avada Kadavra, upon which Harry is released from Dumbledore's spell. Being in shock, Harry does not immediately take action, but follows after the Death eaters, discovers none of the order, or his friends, the DA members, have sustained life-threatening injuries. He tries to go after Snape, but doesn't catch him in time. Malfoy and Snape get away.

DUMBLEDORE, NOOOOOO!!!!! *shrivels up into the corner*

Hey, I loved the part where Ron had the love potion. It was hilarious. Snape is a giant "GIT" and a "Fuddlebrain". I don't think Fred and George would actually sell the darkness powder the Malfoy, though. I wonder if he goes to school next year? I bet he goes through with his plan to go after the Horcruxes. I think it's cool how Harry begins to act a lot like Dumbledore (being his man through and through) esp. in front of Scrimgeour.
