A strong personality? She grinned, feeling rather foolish with herself. A strong personality. There was really nothing else to say except 'thank you'. So that's what she did. "Thanks." Epesi blushed, "Mom says it runs in the family." The moment between the two soquili was rather awkward in the mare's opinion-just staring at one another. She tried so hard not to form a goofy smile and was grateful that Avaru opened his mouth first.
"Oh, trust me that mare would have definitely not said anything if I hadn't been intruding her space and singing a song. She was...sleeping and I woke her up. So I said hello." Epesi looked at him thoughtfully, liking the fact that he wasn't going against her for even wanting to talk to Tiffany. "My brother came in and shooed her off. She wanted me to leave but I wouldn't because that land wasn't her land."
Her white muzzle formed a cheeky smile, perhaps she was again, the idiot for putting up a fight. None of it would have happened if she just listened.

Avaru gave the mare a lopsided grin. "You're welcome." The stallion tossed his mane; trying to think of something else to say. After a moment of silence Avaru opened his mouth once again. "Are you and your family close?" It seemed that they were based on how she spoke of them. He also was close with his family; however his family was rather large and at the same time he wasn't blood related to any of them. Secretly Avaru wished that he had children; yet he still hadn't been able to find himself a mate to have children with yet. The stallion listened to the mare's account of the event and frowned slightly. "Well... Either way, you couldn't have known how the mare would react, after all. And I'm sure not everyone would have reacted in such a manner." He looked thoughtful as he spoke; carefully choosing his words. Avaru smiled curiously at her when she said that she was able to cause the other mare to leave. "Stubborn are you?" He chuckled lightly at the mare. "Was it a coincidence that your brother happened to show up?" He swished his tail as he waited for her response.

She nodded quickly, thinking about her family. Her parents, of course were the two most hyper soquili in the land but that didn't mean that they weren't loving and caring either. Her family was probably the closest one she could ever imagine. Although her eldest siblings never came along to visit, Mom and Dad always talked about how loving they were too. They had, afterall, started their own families with mates and children of their own. Something, Epesi hoped would come her way eventually. Doubtful, though, given her current state of mind and loquacious habits.
The mare was glad that he broke her out of the thoughts of possibly never finding that someone who Aruna, Artemis and Bairn had. "No I guess you're right. I just wish I could have taken that second where I walked by back. It would have made my life, and hers, a whole lot easier." She grinned again, and almost laughed at the stallion when he called her stubborn.
"Stubborn? Oh, no. Well, alright fine. I am just a tad stubborn but Mom says thats normal for most soquili. Aren't you stubborn?" Epesi teased back. "And yes. My brother had no idea that I even exsisted at the time. Well, I think he knew he had younger siblings but he was just coming over to 'shut two annoying mare's up'." The mare laughed, and held back her head so her mane's curls got out of her face when she did so.

Avaru watched the mare nod in response to his question, yet she said nothing else in response upon that subject. The stallion observed the mare as her eyes wore of an expression of deep thought. Perhaps he would find out more about her family later. The stallion let out a chuckle as he took in the mare's words. "I'm sure everyone wishes there was something that they could reverse instead of doing what they had done in a certain situation. And..." He was waited a moment as he stared at the mare; a grin spreading across his face. "Life wouldn't be as fun if everything in life were easy. At least I don't think it would be..." He paused for another moment. "Though, what would a boring old stallion like myself know about having fun?" Avaru threw Epesi a wink and he laughed at his own statement. "Hmm... I may be stubborn." Again he had a playful tone to his voice as he jested with the mare. The stallion tilted his head as he comprehended the mare. "Wasn't that awkward meeting your brother then; I meant... Not knowing one another then suddenly meeting like that.." Avaru raised an eyebrow as he spoke; still wondering how the confrontation went.

Family wasn't something that Epesi talked about so lightely, unlike every other subject that seemed to slip off her tongue. She took it seriously, and didn't think it was right to just speak her mind. Maybe at a later date, if the two of them were to be better friends, the mare wouldn't feel so odd talking about the ones she loved then.
"Oh, perhaps you're right. Everyone has regrets, whether they admit it or not, and I'm definitely one of them." She paused too, and waited for him to speak up again. The fact that he stopped in the first place meant he was teasing her, and that made their conversation all the more fun! "Oh indeed! Not at all! If everything in life was easy, we'd so be doomed to live constant lives. Nothing would ever change!" She giggled, and loved that he was opening up to her a lot more with that hidden playfullness she knew just had to be there. "Ooooh, geez I don't know! Why don't you tell me?" Epesi took in the wink and twirled around him once, as if to play a silly game of chase.
"Maybe you don't know yourself, since know one's ever told you that, but I'm saying that to you right now, Avaru! You're stubborn!" Epesi twirled again, at a faster pace around the stallion, so he wouldn't be able to catch her if he wanted too.
"Uhh, not really. I...we...didn't talk all that much. It wasn't a very personaly meeting, he just quickly jumped into protecting me and then disappeared. I mean, I suppose it was awkward, but he seemed pleasant."

The stallion nodded at Epesi. "That's quite understandable..." He thought for another moment. "I can't really say that there is something I regret that I have done..." Avaru smiled gently at the mare. Although he didn't regret anything that he had done; he did regret perhaps not having things that he wished he had. Though he wouldn't concern himself nor the mare with that at this time; besides... things might change, he thought. The stallion chuckled at the mare's enthusiasm. "That would be such a shame, and a total bore!" He threw the mare a quick wink and continued laughing with her. "Well, when I was a much younger and handsomer stallion..." He paused and again winked at Epesi. "I once played a game of tag with a rowdy filly; such a cute thing she had been though she was rather persistent." He again chuckled; remembering back about how the young filly had once contested him. Avaru's dark brown eyes followed the mare as she circled about him. "Ok ok! You caught me! I'm a stubborn old grumpy stallion!" He let out a snort as it to sound irritated, but it was all in good fun. Avaru tried his best to hide his laughter but again he started chuckling at his antics. He thought for a moment about her brother. "Well... if you got the chance to meet again maybe you'd have a chance to get better acquainted?" He smiled politely at Epesi.

"Really? Absolutely nothing?" She questioned him, amused. It wasn't as if she expected him go get all emotional and start talking about how much his life sucked and whatnot, it was just strange. Nobody's life was perfect, that was impossible. Everyone has some type of regret, maybe...a jealousy? But maybe Avaru was different. Or maybe he was just hiding his true feelings. Stallions usually did that, according to her Father.
Epesi laughed once more, loving every moment of their sudden random conversation. "Yup! And besides, I like things challenging and difficult. It makes it more amusing to try and succeed!" The winks kept coming from him, and with each, the giggles came from her. "Oh, you mean like yesterday then?" The mare nodded, he wasn't terribly old and definitely not ugly...so he must have meant yesterday! "That sounds like fun, Avaru. I wish I could have been a rowdy young filly. Oh, wait...I was! But I never met grumpy old stallions such as yourself."
She watched his eyes, and her own caught his for a moment before she looked away. "Awww, don't put yourself down like that I was only joking." Half of her felt bad for saying that, because one could never be sure what hurt others and what didn't...but he didn't seem too upset.
"Yeah, let's hope. Although I think he may be a little too over protective, if you know what I mean."

Avaru continued smiling at her. "Nothing that seems to be worth mentioning at least." Again the stallion was hopeful that things might soon take a turn of events in his favor; but life hadn't been harsh for the stallion thus far or nothing he would consider remotely close and he was grateful for that. "To each their own I suppose." He said whilst purposefully rolling his eyes; continuing to jest the mare. "You mares always enjoy being difficult!" He gave a snort and stomped a hoof upon the ground before nudging Epesi with his muzzle. "Tell me though... what happens when you fail?" He grinned; thinking to himself that the mare would surely have a response to his question. Pretending to be in shock the stallion continued. "Yesterday! I was older yesterday? Who would have thought!" He frowned in an exceeding manner. "That's a shame. Meeting a grumpy old stallion such as myself would have been perfect for you to meet when you were younger; though back then I don't think I was quite as grumpy... Or maybe I was.. Eh, who knows!" He gave a long shrug of his shoulders. Avaru's quick comments ceased though at the mention of her brother once more. Frowning, the stallion inquired, "You mean he'd treat you as if you were still a foal or something?" He gave a slight tilt of his head.
