Maddi Asada I've just been thinking a lot lately about this, and I'm afraid about being in pain due to labor. I know it's stupid, I'm only a month pregnant, but still, I've been nervous about it. sweatdrop Hi, when you have you're first baby I think most people are excited and also scared about everything, because you don't know what to expect. Everyone has a different experience, so try not to be too nervous, just enjoy each stage of your pregnancy, and take what comes. Disscuss with you doctor or prenatal professionals what will be best for you, painkillers, epidurals or not. If you do have pain, you will forget about it as soon as you hold your beautiful baby in your arms.

I know with my son I didn't get nervous about the pain of labor, I just knew that in the end I would have this gorgeous baby and it would be well worth it. I hope you don't fret to much about how labor is going to go because then it'll take away the excitement of experiencing all the other before-hand things that you get to deal with before the bub is born. It'll be good, and you'll probably do excellent and come back to tell us after it's all done and say how it was worth it. And pain? I remember it, but not all to clearly anymore, the pain, is just a vauge memory now, and more than likely I'd do it again. smile

I've had two now, and my baby is only 6 months old, and i'm ready to do it again. both labours were very short (5hrs). the first was facing the front instead of the back, so i had a lot of back pain. it's not really worth dwelling on the labour, as it comes and goes, while you gain a beautiful child you will love forever. it's such a small part of the whole process.

I don't know anything about labor pains, but my wife sure looked uncomfortable. Can I have an epideral? Just kidding. But my wife looked really uncomfortable.

Well, I had an epidural, so it wasn't all that bad. They almost took me off it because they thought that I wasn't pushing hard enough because of it. Of course, then they realized that it was because my daughter put her arm up and got stuck... So really, having the baby wasn't that bad. Personally, I thought that the recovery part sucked way more. Having stitches in your a** (excuse the language) totally sucks.
