Zelda is definitely near the top of my list for video-game music. Yet, my all-time favorite music from a video-game would have to from Chrono Cross. God, that is one soundtrack I will never tire of.

Half-Life had some good music. It had a great mix of moody ambient sounds and techno (when you're taking on the government soldiers in a firefight).

THIS IS A TRAVESTY!! We have a list of video games, with great sound tracks, no doubt, but no mention whatsoever of Final Fantasy??? Final Fantasy has the greatest video gaming music EVER and should be recognized for it!
So, with that said, I think Final Fantasy has the best video gaming music. Particuarly Final Fantasy VI 3nodding
Oh, and Chrono Trigger also had an awesome soundtrack...

kisa Squee Aero the Acrobat defenently! biggrin Lovely fun circus type music. whee Ah, I love the old time systems. And also agreeable on the Mario having best music too! Second level is the best for that. 3nodding Ah, yes, I remember that game, I remembered what it was like, but had forgotten the name until now because I sold my Genesis. If I recall right, it had an electronic version of the intro of Fur Elise playing on a loop through most of the game. xd
