ForestGreen ladyleprechaun13 The oldest patterns I've ever gotten were from the '60's, all clothing, and not that attractive. You might be surprised at how much better they will look if you update the colors. Someone on Craftster updated a 70's sweater and it looked fantastic, you couldn't really tell it had been made from the same pattern until you ignored the color scheme and focused on the shape. It was hard to focus on the shape considering the horrible color schemes that designers of 70's clothes came up with. True. My mom's high school choir had iridescent green choir robes, which is confusing, since her school colors were maroon. We finally decided it was because it was the 70's.

http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/completelist.htmFrom the 1800's and early 1900's. Tons of lace patterns, shawls, etc. Beautiful site. Massive site. I've gotten 110MB from it and I'm not past the D's. Everythings in pdf format. Theres even some knitting, and embroidery patterns in there, also.

yup. does make you geeky. but everybody is geeky about something, unless they are dead. Being not geeky means not getting excited about something regardless of what other people think about it and that would be pretty darn dull.

That's cool, though - I've noticed more patterns for things like table runners and other "old-fashioned" things.
