I Tend to lsiten to ambiance, which truely gives the book life.
and don't think ambiance can't be angry, I Have some kickass ambiance music for fight scenes and the like. its awesome, and the right song always seems to be playing for the right section.
and please forgive my Capitals. (I write like this Too, (IE: in Reality))

I don't play certain songs for particular books, but I do play music to block out and unwanted sounds. As a result, if they play a particular song on the radio a lot while I'm reading I'll start associating that song with that book.
My cousin does this as well. Now, everytime he reads the fourth Harry Potter he starts hearing the Dixie Chicks because his Mom played them nonstop while he was reading it.

Nucleotide I like to listen to the Dark Side of the Moon album by Pink Floyd because there aren't a lot of words so it fills up the silence without making me confused. It also makes me think a lot.
Anyway on topic, I can't have silence when I read. I can't pay attention. So I either have to have the T.V on or music on or be around people who are talking. I normally don't accociate music with books I read. I don't know why, I just don't. I do when I play video games, like Mario Kart Double Dash reminds me of Three Days Grace because my sister and I would listen to that when we played. I do prefer classical or instrumental when I'm reading, but I'm ok with songs with words.

I usually read with classical music on. I've tried with other music, but then I start trying to listen to the words of the song and reading different words. Yea, it just doesn't work for me. I'm known for my ability to multitask, but not that much.

I love to listen to Classical/Instrumental soundtrack and foreign language music when I read. My favorite stuff to listen to is the Kingdom Hearts, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Final Fantasy soundtracks; Moonlight Sonata, and just about anything German, Spanish, and Japanese.
