He shook his head, "From me, no. But from your real teachers, it would help. This isn't an easy school, people die here, a lot. And its a constant strain to survive. You'll soon learn that." he pulled out a cig and a lighter, "Do you mind if i smoke?"

He smiled and pulled a second cig out and handed it to her, then lite off his cig and leaned over to light hers, "May I?"

"Of course," she said, keeping the cigarette between her lips. She had picked up the bad habit from her grandad, and never stopped.

He lit hers and flicked the lighter back into his pocket, while taking a nice long draw from his cig. "From first glance i didn't take you for a smoker." He said as he continued walking.

She inhaled as the cigarette burned. "A lot of people say that," she replied. "Smoking kills, you know," she said sarcastically as she walked along his side.

He nodded his head, "True.. but so does a blade, i figure one day either or will get me. Hopefully its the cigarettes." he chuckled lightly and turned towards a building just a little ways ahead of them.

"Same here; it's less painful. Plus, I can't quit. Also, a physical wound is not as bad as an emotional one," she said, following along side him.

As they reached the doors he shook his head and opened it for her, "Actually, i'd prefer cigarettes because that way i'd live longer."

She nodded in agreement. "So, why are you here?" she asked off subject. She put out her cigarette after taking the last puff and dug it into a locker.

"This-" he made a big gesture with his arms, "Is where you will spend most of your time, or at least i do. The Training Rooms." he started walking down the large hallway. Through several windows could be seen classes already in session. "The trainers here are generally nice, as long as you can keep up them." He pointed to a window, where a trainer was using a kid as an example to teach the class how to easily throw and opponent, even if he was bigger than you, "They only do that if you screw up."

"I'll probably spend a lot of time there, too. I do a lot of cardio and strength training. Plus, I'm flexible," she said, pulling her foot up to her head. She smiled, putting her foot back down.

He watched her feat of flexiblity and a thought came to his mind, but he quickly shook his head and dismissed it. "This is where i spend much of my time as well. Classes themselves arn't very important to me, i know what i need to know."

"Same here. I'd rather just spar or fight than just sit in a class learning about the old ways. My respect for the dojo is indescribable, but, I appreciate being on my own in solitairy peace," she said, looking a little smug, and inhaling the cigarette.
