Kanazawa Kana entered the cafeteria with a lunch box on her left hand. She looked around in a wide view if there were any empty tables. She looked around quietly feeling unsure. She just transferred from a very simple Christian school, which had a strict rule of eating only at the cafeteria and not at the classroom. Like her former school the cafeteria were mostly full. She mostly just go straightly to the cafeteria but she had to finish a problem they had left.

She saw some classmates but she was too shy approaching them not even knowing their names not even expecting that they would know hers. She spotted a boy with dark blue hair and crimsom eyes. He was cute she thought. It was the first time she met him and she became even stiffer going to the side out of everyone’s way.

Name: Reku Kokoro

Age: 16
Appearence: Shoulder-lenght maroon hair, green cat-like eyes, two plain metal bands on her wrists and ankles, 5'7" black shirt and pair of blue jeans

Personality: Cold, grumpy, generally not someone you want to hang out with. Usually only enjoys the company of her cats. She sometimes has a split personality and is quick to anger...at anything.

Background: Bullied by everyone when she was younger and thus her angry attitude, she brings home every cat she finds.

She's a good student but she says it's only because she has nothing other than homework, taking care of her cats, and 'Blade practice to do.

She keeps a few Katanas and golf clubs stashed in her closet and even keeps a golf club in her locker for quick use.

Holy Beast: Kyohaku a fire cat with a firey temper, quite enjoys battling and will mow down any enemy in her way. Still, she is kind to Kokoro and trys to help her master not shop everyones head off with a Katana.

Other: Kokoro is possessed by a demon spirit called Kumori.

Walking into the cafeteria, the red-head let out a short yawn. He didn't get much sleep last night and waking up at 6 am wasn't really his thing. But, it was time for lunch so here he was. A paper bag in hand, Tala spotted his 'friend' Kai at one of the tables. Though as soon as he started to walk over, Kai got up and left. How did he always know when Tala was coming? Did he have a little beeper that went off whenever he got near? It was getting very annoying. Heck, he had no one else to talk to. Plus, Tala wasn't one of those obnoxious talkative people. At least, he didn't consider himself one.

Disappointed, the Russian scanned the room and found an empty table. He walked over slowly, then sat down. Dumping the contents of the paper bag onto the table, he sighed. "What do we have today? A sandwhich, some potatoe chips, and a chocolate bar. Man, I think I was half asleep when I pack this crap." Once again, Tala sighed and began to eat.

((Anou... Lightstep, at whose table would you happen to be eating? Is it the one where Kei's eating? 'Cause I'm assuming that's where your character's sat down...))

Kei looked up as another girl joined her at the table. She seemed a bit...withdrawn, not unlike Kei herself. The brunette barely even heard the younger girl mumble an 'Excuse me'; she'd heard, of course, but only just.

"Mondai nai, no problem," The amethyst-eyed teen told her fellow student. "I don't mind if we share tables..." Heck, she didn't want to see someone younger go through the hassle of finding another empty table - or an occupied one with someone willing to share - if she, Kei, had said something along the lines of 'What the -?! Hey, this is my table! Go find your own!'; that just wasn't proper.

She spooned a bit of mashed potatoes into her mouth and spotted yet another familiar face out of the corner of her eye. Who is that girl? Kei thought, eyeing the other student. Kana...something; oh, darn it... While unable to remember the name - again! - she knew she had math and computer with the girl. Ah, well. Plenty of time to get to know her, if she decided to do so.


Kai turned his head slightly to glance at Tala, whom he'd just passed. Okay, so the redhead was a bit late to lunch, and they'd missed each other by seconds. And Kai wasn't sure, but thought he'd seen...disappointment in the Russian's eyes.

What, was he ticked that Kai had left? It wasn't exactly his fault; he hadn't known Tala would want to 'chat', even just a bit. Besides, he hated the cafeteria, and it was normal for him to eat just a bit, or eat relatively quickly in order to escape 'prying eyes'.

Ah, we'll see each other later, anyway... Kai thought. He'd moved out of the Hiwatari mansion and was currently staying at an apartment nearby, and Tala's place just happened to be in that general direction.

Kai entered the classroom - which was still quite empty - went to his desk, and sat down. He had the room to himself until lunch was over, or until someone else came back early from lunch.

For now, though, he relished in the silence and the solitude, something he rarely experienced nowadays. There was a test coming up in one certain subject - was it science? - but he couldn't care less. He'd cross that bridge when he got there.


Kei heaved a huge, but inaudible sigh as she sat down on the perfectly manicured school lawn. Since it was nearing high noon, she had enough sense to sit down in the shade; it certainly wouldn't do to contract heat exhaustion - or any form of heat-generated illness - at this time. It wouldn't look good on her record, which was free from abscences of any kind ever since she entered first grade. And that was no exaggeration.

Now, the brunette wished she'd brought her sketchpad with her instead of leaving it in her bag upstairs. She was bored to death with nothing to do, and she didn't know anyone that well to actually start a conversation with them - plus, she wasn't yet used to that sort of thing, because the friendships she'd forged in university were merely a means to be up to date on schoolwork and such.

As bored as she was, however, Kei didn't feel like standing up and making the trek back towards the main school building. She'd sketch a bit in class to make up for it; the teacher never noticed her doodling away, anyway.

Kokoro also then walked into the class room, taking her seat she began an odd train of thought. 'Hmm, is this the class there was atest in today? No...wait, yes, yes there is the test today...Hmmm, I think I studied, yeah...hmmm, I missed breakfast this morning...hmmm.' She thought, staring at the ceiling. 'You need your memory checked.' Kyohaku muttered. 'I second that thought.' Kumori added.

Tala finished his lunch, and threw the paperbag in the trashcan as he exited the room. Out of his pocket, he pulled out a piece of paper. It was his scedule. What's my first class?... The Russian scanned it briefly, then put it back into his pocket. Room 103....It didn't take him long to find his classroom. Well, here I am... and I still have another 20 minutes before class. The red-head entered the room to see none othere than Kai Hiwatari, already sitting down. Raising an eyebrow in confusion, What the-- Kai early for something? That's new... Lucky this wasn't like elementy school. You could sit wherever you wanted. Tala walked over and sat next a seat away from Kai. After a brief moment of silence he said, "Hey."

As was her habit whenever she entered a room - despite how many times she'd entered that same room - Kei selfconsciously tucked a stray strand of hair back behind her ear. She usually tied her hair back in a braid or a simple ponytail, but she'd forgotten to bring her scrunchy today; something she regretted because of the warm weather.

She walked over to where she'd last left her bag - at one of the seats near the windows - and sat down. As she took a small sketchpad and a pencil out of her bag, she noticed that some of those she'd seen in the cafeteria were in the room, too. Now, how can I not have recognized them? she wondered vaguely. Silly Kei...you were probably too caught up in your own little world to notice who your classmates were... she berated herself.

Even as she bent over her desk to start sketching - more of doodling, really - she couldn't help noticing the two boys who sat next to each other: one was a redhead, and the other one was the slate-haired teen with whom she'd shared a table earlier. It was hard to figure these two out; were they close friends? Acquaintances? They certainly didn't act very friendly towards one another.

Kei shrugged this off; it wasn't her business, after all - even though she had to admit, both were cute, in their own way. And then she returned to her sketching.


Kai turned his head slightly at the sound of the familiar voice, with its curt greeting. "Hey yourself, Ivanov," the crimson-eyed teen replied, a small grin curving his lips.

His attention wasn't only on Tala, however. A few more students had entered the room. There were two brunettes, who both looked pretty involved in what they were doing - well, at least the girl whose hair was worn loose looked totally absorbed in her 'task'; the one who wore a braid was starting to look bored.

This is stupid... Kai found himself thinking. Just a few more minutes before the bell rings...and where the hell is the teacher?

((I've only just realized that I'm technically cosplaying myself and my real-life twin brother. Yes, we really are twins - fraternal, mind you - named Kai and Kei xd Odd...))
