Yay for Harry Potter!
Ack... I haven't even finished the fourth book. I've started it a couple of times, but each time I find shorter books to read and then I'll forget about finishing Harry Potter. sad
My sister is uberly excited to get her book tomorrow. She said she'll be reading it all day.
Satah makes a cute house elf. heart

Oh, Fish Cat Lady, why'd you read them without your parents knowing? are you not allowed to read them? question And why do you need illegal copies? xd

*Uber late post* Long, but I readed the post. I'm gonna wait the three months it takes for them to begin showing up in the 50% off bins at the Salvation Army to read it though.
Oh, and Fishy. I live in a christian neiborhood. Most of them are good, and not parinoid about that stuff, but there are a few who are quite bad about the occult and stuff. Mostly because I'm well known for D&D, Magic the Gathering, Neverwinter, and a few other so-called "occultist" Games. Like Twister. XD But, still, the only magic I preform is in this odd healing book I got a bit back... And it's all pressure points when you look closely. sweatdrop [/offtopic]
Anyways, Satah, your awsome! heart

My private tutor's children weren't allowed to read Harry Potter books either. Their family was very much Christian and anything to do with what they considered a "sin" was banned from the household.
I found it rather sad. I would hate to grow up with such restrictions... Free to read! Let me read what I like so that I may have a better understanding of the world. surprised heart

I find it really silly, because all the stuff like D&D, HP, etc, is just like LOTRs, but that's absolutely fine by my parents, and I was encouraged to read them... question There's no logic in that. Also, they allow me to rp online (obviously... razz ) and again, there's no logic in that. All these kinds of fantasy stories would have been thought up in games that people our parents age would have played when they were our age anyway, so just because it's not our own imagination makes them bad? confused I hapen to know the kinds of stuff my mum read too... not good, not good at all. I wouldn't choose to read it, so I don't know why she thinks all this is bad... sweatdrop
