She was so shy and timid... completely the opposite of Edward in that regard. "I'm sure we could think of something" he said softly, letting her know that she wouldn't be alone in this endeavor. But this time he did let the topic go, there was no need to pressure her. She knew his opinion now, and it was up to her if she went with it or not.
"Yeah..." he said softly, his face sudden full of emotion as he looked at his paws. A light, fond smile on his maw as he thought of the blonde haired girl. "She was a childhood friend of mine. She often worried about us, but she always welcomed us to her home when we didn't have one to go back to." Although sometimes that included the hurling of a wrench. Infact, several things about Liliana reminded him of Winry as well. Could that be why he was so close to her? Liliana was in many ways the friend that Winry had been to him.

She shook her head, saying silently: no, she really could not. But realizing that he was saying he would help her Liliana gave a light smile, not knowing the reason it was a little hard for her to see was bacause of a thin sheen of tears over her eyes instead of simple nameless fear of the unknown physical world. She gave a very faint, "okay."
Head on her paws she watched her best friend's face as he spoke of this friend from his before. An ear lifted questioningly, her head tilting ever so slightly. "A close friend? And you miss her? Maybe we could keep an eye out for her, as well as your brother?"
The witch did not know Edward's thoughts, though she would likely have been pleased at the comparison -then perhaps a little self conscious. But her green eyes were open and honest, wanting only her friend to be happy. If he could smile so just thinking about this Winry, surely her being around would be even better.

Did he miss her? Of course he did... although he might be hard pressed to admit it if she was standing here infront of him. Ed looked to Liliana and blinked once at her suggestion, before nodding once, "Sure." A faint smile coming to his maw again. Little did she know that he smiled when he thought of her as well.
The Fullmetal Alchemist fell silent as he seemed lost in his own thoughts. He often thought of his friends in his former life... and his brother... all of which were not here with the exception of that pathetic version of Roy Mustang. Perhaps he needed to accept the fact that he would never see them again and settle into his new life here. He already had close friends, and he didn't need to hold back on his feelings for them by clinging to the past.

"Then I'll let everyone know." Liliana said gently, giving a reasuring smile before letting the comfortable silence settle in around them.
Glancing out a window she saw that the sun had moved. Lili blinked, having fallen lost in her won thoughts of how she could possibly think of something physical to do that she might be interested in. Suddenly another thought poppted into her head. "What's Winry look like?"
The winged female had been far too out of it to remember the pictures in what had come to be called the automail room. If she had even been aware enough to see them then.

Time sure seemed to fly didn't it? Edward himself hadn't noticed the change of the sun's position as he simply kept conversing with his friend.
Golden eyes blinked and an ear tilted as he realized he hadn't described Winry, and it wouldn't make any sense to have anyone looking when they didn't know what she looked like. He pondered a moment as he thought how best to describe her. "Well, she's got long blonde hair, lighter than mine. Usually wears mechanic's clothes, including a bandana on her head, and.... eh... usually carries a wrench with her." Aheh. Of which she use to clobber him with a few times.
He also use to tease her about being an automail junkie, and she'd retaliate with calling him an alchemy freak.

She nodded, committing the description to memory. "I can hardly wait to meet her. And your brother." Grinning, a teasing look came over the crimson female and she tilted her brown & gold wings so that they could quickly be moved into a semblance of a shield. "Then we can share stories about you. I bet she has lots of things to share, with you living with her."

A paniced look came over Edward as she mentioned sharing stories... about him. "No no, lets not! I mean... surely there's more interesting things to talk about than me!" Agh... he wasn't blushing was he? How embarassing... he could only imagine what kinds of things Winry would bring up. Stuff like that didn't do well for the ego you know!

Liliana blinked, moment of teasing gone. "Why wouldn't we talk about you, Edward?" Was he blushing? Had she upset him. "We're both your friends, right? We'd just know different things about you that maybe the other hasn't had a chance to discover."

There was nothing but silence from him for several moments. He really liked Liliana.. but she could be totally clueless sometimes. That was probably a good thing in some ways... others not so much. "... Nevermind" he then said, flashing her a grin. Perhaps she would forget all about that notion as she hoped he would forget about the other thing. Besides... Winry wasn't around, so he was safe... for now atleast.

Although his silence had her perplexed Liliana was not sure what to do or say. She wondered about it, half tempted to press or even -was that a non-Lily thing to do?- tease him about it even after he said to nevermind it. But she was accustomed to her father and so noddfed her head to say she would comply, then smiled when Edward did.
"So why would she carry a wrench everywhere? She wouldn't need it out of her workshop, would she?"

The teen gave a shrug, "Beats me... it was kind of weird. I guess she just always wanted to be prepaired." She was good about that after all.. even if she'd beat him or yell at him for messing up 'her' automail. "Can't really complain, she was the best." Edward never bought automail from anyone else. She really knew how to make it.

"And still is, I'd wager." She gave Edward a light nuzzle, green eyes smiling. "I'd like to find her. My best friend deserves the best."
Her face was warm with no trace of beguiling. Liliana did not seem to see the potential other ways her words could be taken.

Edward thought about those words for a moment... but shrugged it off and smiled warmly, "Thanks... You do too, you know." The Fullmetal then yawned lightly and stretched his forelimbs. If there were two things he liked to do, other than practice alchemy, it was eat and sleep. He was such a typical guy.

Liliana giggled. "But I don't have automail that needs taken care of." She tilted her head at his yawn, a look of concern touching her eyes as she realized she'd not put a bed in this room.
"Are you tired? I can fetch something to sleep on that would fit in here if you wanted to stay in here. Or maybe make an extra bedroom for you if you'd rather. You don't have to keep sleeping with me in the main room or the library if you'd rather not. Lot's of the others have their own rooms, no reason you can't since you're staying with us." Liliana was not prone to rambling, and it surprised her to be doing so now. Sometimes she could talk for a long time, but not rambling as she had just done. her brows furrowed slightly, casting her green eyes in their slight shadow.
