She suddenly stopped doing her light head bang. She opened her huge eyes. One was red, the other was blue. She blinked, and peeked her head out from under the table. There were people there. Her eyes widen more, as she darted back under the table. People were bad. People were evil. Her back collided with the wall, as she let out a loud yelp. Her back was delicate right now. She was in the process of growing wings.

The elegant man's eyes widened in shock at the sound of the loud THWUMP! and whimper he had heard. He looked across the room to where the sound had come from, but saw nothing. He raised a brow, and set down the glass he was cleaning. With somewhat strange agility for his appearance, he slid across the bar, and was instantly back on his feet, and leaning over, to peer under the tables.
As he expected, a young child was sitting beneath a table against the far wall. He smiled as he saw her. He righted himself, and began to make his way through the tables to the other side of the bar where she was.

The music still blared loudly in her ears, but that didn't matter now. She had the ablitity to turn off her hearing at will. To actually ignore something. She was twisted up in a rather akward postition as she tried to rub her back. She didn't want her precious wings to be deformed because she hit her back.
Her eyes widen even more as she sat the man's face, and as he drew closer she tried to push her self back farther under the table, but it was hard for her to do so in such postition. She wanted to dissappear right now, but the shadows were stupid.

He reached the table the child was concealing herself beneath in little time. He smirked amusedly and kneeled down to examine her miniature lair. He both saw and felt her throes of pain, and his smirk quickly faded. "Are you alright, little one?"

She was still scrunched up trying to rub the pain away from her throbbing back. She quickly looked away from him advioding his eyes. Her gaze fell upon the ground where they remained fixed. Over and over again she told herself that they were evil people and that she can't touch them. Because they were evil.
Something made her shake her head, as she let her watering eyes close. She didn't want to loose her wings so soon. She hadn't even been able to see them yet, or show her big brother. He had huge black raven wings that were beautiful. She loved his wings, and her sister-in-law's wings too. She frowned, as she gulped down her fear of the mortals.

He outright frowned with concern as his eyes examined her more closely, thier endless green depth taking her in fully. He stood up straight again, and rest his hand upon the table, at which point it was enveloped in shadow, then dissappeared. He took a step forward, and his imposingly tall, slender body leaned over. His hands slid beneath her arms, and he lifted her up tenderly, but effortlessly. "No need to be afraid little one. No need to be afraid..."

Her eyes widen, as he picked her up. She didn't look at all surprised about the table disappearing, but surprised that he controled her shadows so easily. Her right eye was a bright blue. It was normally calm and happy, and full of innocence. The left one, was a dried blood red. It was dark and held a dead look in them.
She stared at him, her lips slightly parted. She didn't want any one touching her, ever. Her eyes snapped into a narrowed gaze. 'Put us down!' she snarled out. Her voice was also rather childish, but held a bit of an angry tone.

The man was intrigued as he saw her odd-eyed coloring for the first time, before being suddenly shocked at her odd protest. After a moments considering, he obliged, and let her go. But as opposed to dropping unceremoniously, she floated down loftily, landing gently.
Not at all sated in his curiousities, he kneeled down in front of her. He rested at eye level, and lifted a brow, awaiting her response.

The moment she hit the ground, she was checking herself where he touched her. There was a look of mild alarm on her childish face as she continued to check over her body. She pulled at her black t-shirt trying to see if any damage was done. With one last check she let out a sigh, and turned to look back at him.
'Our big brother says that if you touched us, we would burn.' she snapped at him. 'We weren't supposed to risk it.' Both of her eyes held an anger fire, as the bell around her neck hummed rather softly.

She glared at him still. There was no lightening touch in her eyes, as she pursed her thin lips together. 'Because you're easily tainted. So easily persuade into doing bad things, against your will.' she spoke out rather boldly. She took a step back. 'You are all evil people.'

"Is the so?" The tall, elegantly dressed man took a step back aswell, still kneeling. Considering her strange reactions and obvious level of maturity, he thought it best to change the subject. "Why are you here, young one?"

bic| She stared at him. Her eyes seemed to relax slightly as she got off the subject. She watched him, scanning him over. There was suddenly an inteligent look in her eyes and she no longer seemed to be 12 years old any more.
