ooc;; Answering from my new account; It's still Fluffy. 3
bic;; The alien's eyes seemed to come to life a bit at hearing noise on the top floor. The alien rose slowly to his feet, peering up with a sinking sensation in his stomach. His thoughts didn't land on Dib, but rather the scientists Dib always threatened to sic on him. The alien slowly started up the stairs, having to prepare himself for the total disarray his base must have been in. The place was coming down, seeing as it was Irken technology, and most of the appliances had already been destroyed and collapsed, the roboparents dead in a corner, the whole house in shambles.

Dib tip toed around the room, half expecting to be jumped at any moment by some robot from one of the piles of...'What are those piles of?" Di thought to himself. He moved over to one to discover the little bit's of irken equipment piled high. "Did a bomb go off in here?" He asked out loud, a worrying feeling creeping up his spine that someone had gotten here before him.

Zim opened the door, inwardly cringing at the mess. He spotted the human, eyes darkening. "What are you doing here, Dib-human?" He hissed, feeling his blood run cold with anger. It was insulting enough to be stripped of his Invader title, to be mocked and degraded. The last thing he needed was his enemy around here.

Dib jumped ten feet out of his skin when he heard Zim, turning quickly, a hand pressed to his chest to try and calm it's beating. "Z-Zim," He said, almost releived it wasn't Tak or some alien bounty hunter or something. "Wh-what happened here?" He asked, ignoreing the obvious hate in the other's voice.

Zim's eyes burned, anger at least masking a bit of the pain the alien felt. "What do you care, Dib-human?" He snarled, feeling a strange rush at his anger. He really couldn't handle much right now. "Haven't you always wanted to kill me? All my technology is gone. Why not do it now?" His antenna pinned back, saying more than he wanted or planned.

Dib looked around, trying to find something to say, why DID he care? "I'm just curious, that's all." He replied dumbly. He mentally slapped himse;f for not finding naything better to say. The alien in front of him was obviously upset over all of this, and it hurt himself a bit to see. "So, what did happen?" He asked again.

Zim felt his body stiffen at the intrusion. "All of my technology was shut down," He replied, anger in his voice. He really didn't want to say anything else. "What more do you want to know?" He didn't want to relive the moment for the Dib-human.

"Well, why?" He asked. He knew he was pressing his luck, that at any moment Zim could snap, that, really, none of this was that important, but the look the irken had made him fell...sorry, for Zim.

Part of Zim wanted to strike Dib, to yell at him. Another side seemed aware of how little he had besides Dib, and so he responded stiffly but truthfully.
"Because..." It was difficult for him, indescribably painful. "I'm not an Irken any more," He managed, eyes full of hate at the moment.

Dib detatched himself from the junk pile at his back and took a few steps closer to Zim, stopping a few feet away. "You mean," Dib said, calmly but slightly strained, "So, you were...." He didn't want to say the word he had on his mind. If Zim really was banished and strnded on Earth then Dib had, sorta, won. So why didn't he feel good about it?

Zim watched Dib as he drew closer. He disliked how much this felt like surrender; but at this point, he was starting to recognize that Dib was the only one he really had at this point. He felt a bit backed into a corner, sarcastically snapping, "No, we renamed our species."

Dib cracked a smile at Zim's remark. It was small but humored. "So what are you going to do now?" He asked, feeling a little bit braver and taking a few more steps towards the alien.

Zim suddenly noticed they were closer, but refused to back down, feeling that it would somehow be cowardice. "I don't know what I'm doing," He replied, eyes flickering downward for a few seconds, catching on Minimoose, who was now lying, lifeless, in a corner.

Dib saw Zim's eyes catch and followed the other's line of sight to minimoose. "They took him away too?" He asked, his voice going sad. He kinda liked the little moose...thing... He looked back up at Zim and asked, "Was Gir shut down as well?"

Zim, briefly lamenting the loss of his work and companion, didn't reply to the first question. The second offended him a little, even though it really wasn't Dib's fault--he wouldn't know that the Irken rays only detected functioning technology. "Of course not. Minimoose wasn't defective." He made no comments on his PAK.
