Itoshii~nya Soren DeGali Itoshii~nya xP Should've known that I was the extreme hardcare anime fan on here. I hope you were joking with that sentence. Really, really hope you were joking. razz Well out of the people I've met. I'm dead serious. Well, I hope you realize how ridiculous it is to create a thread asking for peoples' preference if only the extreme anime fans like yourself would agree with you. I guess there's no such thing as personal opinion, eh? razz Seriously, there isn't a single thing more hardcore about liking the original Japanese version! xd

Wow... I'm agreeing with Soren on this. Just because you like the original doesn't make you more of a "hardcore anime fan" than anyone else. Being more of a "hardcore anime fan" that someone else depends on a completely different factor, not what format of language you prefer.

Double-agreed. Seriously dude, get a clue. We love anime just as much as you....you don't have to watch the subs to be otaku. (Yes I'm a freak...)
And you, good sir....are going to get eaten. <3

And you, good sir....are going to get eaten. <3 Hooray for cannibalism! Personally I like the voices in subs much, much better, but if I had to choose just one, I think I would have to go with dubs because the reading distracts me from the good stuff going on. xp

It's just it seems like everyone only watches anime from youtube (which alot has been taken off since google bought it.) and from adult swim. Which for one makes it a little harder to debate with someone when everything was worded differently in the english which I've only seen bits and pieces of. It's also not just about this guild either. I also apologize too. I don't actually know you guys that much. Just trying to find a guild that suits me and after being apart of the other anime guilds (which we're filled with people saying that they only liked the series because one of the characters was hot) I kinda just was like grrrrr. Went on a noob rampage for a bit and a bit of it landed here. ^^;;;

I hate Hollands Japanese voice. Some animes are good dubbed some aren't. Like Most of Ranma 1/2 was terrible dubbed. After Richard Ian Cox (Inuyasha) became Ranmas new voice actor it was pretty good.

And the scary thing is, Ranma and InuYasha had the same seiyuu (sp?) in the japanese version too.
I dunno....that guy is so whiny though. Not that Rick did much better...but a little I guess....

Anemone Well, you can find a surprising amount of anime on YouTube... but I don't really understand how that's any less dignified than downloading it from fansubbers. As for Adult Swim... well, Eureka Seven is on Adult Swim... so you kinda have to expect that the people here would watch it on there, whether they've seen the original or not. As you've seen from the posts, at least a few people have seen some of the sub, even if just a few lines. It doesn't have much to do with their hardcore-itude just because they happen to watch the dub version on TV. I download fansubbed anime from time to time, watch some on TV, and even buy a few DVDs here and there. I couldn't really care less if it made me any more of an anime fan, though... I don't want to be viewed as an obsessive anime freak anyway. razz That's not why I watch them.

Oh, Soren. Look and what you did. You made Kayako emo!! xd
Well... I'm not surprised Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha have the same voice actors. The two series were both written by the same lady (Rumiko Takahashi) so I guess the same company dubbed them and used the same voice actors. Something like that, I guess. razz

She actually requested. Said so in an interview. razz
She liked how he did Ranma and so she wanted him to do InuYasha.
.....From what you say, Rumiko must have bad taste.

.....From what you say, Rumiko must have bad taste. Most of the voice actors in Ranma 1/2 also voice Inuyasha some obvious some not. Inuyasha: Ranma Happosai: Naraku/flea-guy I think also Sango:Akane but I'm not sure....

I watched both versions with the subs and dubs, and I thought the english voices fit better.
It just seemed more natural for some reason.
