Akuri, having no idea what to do or say, said, "Ummm...hi!" She immediately felt embarrassed. Damn it Akuri! Can't you think of anything better to say?! she thought irritably.

"How long as it been since you've been at central command?" Seriph asked casually, then he heard a very small sound that make him slightyl weary. He thought it was just his imagination when Blank whispered his name in a serious tone. He stopped and brought his sword into a defensive stance. Looking around with senses spread outward Seriph thought he heard a voice going "Ummmm. . . .hi!"

Hearing a voice speak from among the grass, Blank thought for a moment that the sun was getting to him. Hi? he thought. There seemed to be no menacing presence around, but was it possible that there were other people among the grass? Looking toward Seriph while still crouched low, Blank raised an eyebrow. Peeking from the top of the grass, there appeared to be two girls standing calmly a little aways. Didn't they know it was dangerous to be hanging out in the middle of a plain? Or we're they members of Contolio out on a mission? Perhaps they were closer to the CCC than he had thought.

Phit was surprised at the other's response. Hi? She had thought she was in danger, but this girl seemed inocent enough. She had just started to relaxe just a bit, when her attention was caught by something over to the right and behind the girl. Now these two looked slightly less inocent then the one standing infront of her. Knowing there was plent of tall grass that didn't go suddenly short for quite a distance behind her, Phit suddenly took off in that direction. The one she had come from.

Akuri watched the girl run off. Oh well. Whatever she thought. She sat back down and lit another blade of grass on fire.

((Kind of funny how you all react about the same way... hehe...))
Ryuk looked about the forest, 'three days now' he reminded himself. Only being able to reach just the edge of the forest he had stayed, hunting little to keep food, but not a lot. For this being a forest it was almost as desolet as the plains he had been in those before first three days of his forest adventure. Yet he wished the plains were still continuing on through the forest.
Ryuk sighed while closing his eyes and sliding down a tree trunk. He knew there had to be another village on the other side, maybe savier from where he use to be. You could never know though. He wrapped his arms around his neck and looked up at the thick under bellies of the trees. It was nice, but frusterating. There had to be away around this.

((Of course! Wouldn't you be like 'WTF' if you heard a voice in the desolate plains? Haha. Oh, I love your character's name by the way. From Death Note, right?))
Blank watched as one of the girls quickly ran away and wondered if she had seen them. He guessed that the two didn't know each other from the way they interacted, and looked to Seriph with a shrug. "Should we see what's up?" Lowering his guard, Blank stood up and walked over to the girl left behind. It wasn't everyday that they saw people traveling in the wild, and traveling alone was often difficult, so he was somewhat curious about the girl's motives. Drawing near, he saw that she seemed to be preoccupied with what she was doing, but it was hard to tell what that exactly entailed because her back was facing him.
Taking a few precautions, Blank kept his sword out and held it at his side, and hoping not to scare the girl completely by coming up from behind, he spoke quietly. "Umm, miss?"

A russell of the leaves near by awoke Ryuk from a daze he had entered. He looked around and then heard voices. He frowned lightly, that wasn't something he had heard in quite awhile. He turned to the tree and climbed, looking of the plains. Surly enough there were people about 30 or 40 minute walk away.
Ryuk smirked and sat on the nearest tree branch. Maybe there was a way out of this mess after all. On top of that, these people had to be coming this way for a reason. Which he would soon find out. All in time.

Akuri jumped a little and turned around, blade of grass still in hand. "Oh! Ummm...hi!" she said, for the second time that day. Damn it! Why can't I think of anything better to say?! she thought miserably. She let the fire on the blade of grass go out, and she dropped it.

(( 3nodding Death Note is awesome. It's my favorite anime... I even bought the movie! Hehe. And Ryuk = heart ))
Blank watched as the fire in the girl's hand extinguished. He stared at the blade of grass for a moment before bringing his attention back to her. "Are you all right, miss? The plains are not exactly the safest place to be hanging around, you know. Are you traveling alone?"
After asking, Blank felt somewhat bad to be butting in, but he would have felt even worse if something happened to an innocent person that could have been prevented. To help the girl up, he sheathed his scimitar and offered a hand. "Here," he said with a kind smile.
((I think we should cue a monster battle. How about it? whee ))

Akuri took the man's hand and stood up. "The plains aren't safe anymore? I've been gone for many years, so i didn't know that. And yes, I am traveling alone. I really had no idea..."
Akuri felt like an idiot now. Of course it's not safe! Nowhere else is safe either, so why would here be? she thought to herself.

((Okay. Just to let you all know, everyone pretty much has the power to start a monster battle. It was one of the awesome points about this RP originally being no application RP. Just... don't start one at a completely unecessary moment, heh. sweatdrop ))
Blank helped the girl up and chuckled slightly before saying, "Well, its just that without any coverage it's hard to hide from any mutants." He then looked around a bit as if to check for any of the monsters he was speaking of before turning back to the girl. "Well, we're traveling through the plains that way," he motioned to the forest on the other side. "So that you're not alone, you could tag along if you'd like," Blank smiled and shielded his eyes from the sun at the same time. Looking to the sky he added, "We'll probably reach the forest before sundown."

"Sounds good to me!" said Akuri happily. She looked off in the distance too. Since she was looking far off, she didn't see the movement behind her. Until it was almost too late. At the last moment, she heard the bushes rustling, and she jumped out of the way, pulling Blank along too.
"What the hell..." she muttered.
((I didn't know what to make the enemy be, so whoever posts next can decide. 3nodding ))

((Hehe... I'm not the only one *jumps up and down*))
Ryuk couldn't see much from where he was, but a large object had hurtled itself towards one of the people in the field. He couldn't help himself from smiling as it rounded to attack again, 'Lucky them.' He thought sarcastically. He then glanced around the forest area before a small smirked spread across his face, maybe that walk wasn't as far away as he thought, especially with flight.
His hands worked quickly as he moved branches and tided rope around the leaves and things. It was complete in the matter of moments. He then pulled then vines over his shoulders and jumped off the branch he once was on. The creation took him most of the way before crashing and letting him tumble through the grass. A few cuss words later, he tossed off the equipment and took off running towards the monster.
Just before it was able to attack again, Ryuk took full advantage of his speed and weight to pull the monster down and get it out of the others way. It put up a pretty good fight as the two creatures wrestled, trying to over power the other and get what they wanted accomplished.

At that moment, a screech could be heard from the direction that Phit had run off to.
She was now standing face to face with a mutant. She had two weapons on her, first she took out her switch blade and squared her shoulders. This was the first mutant she had met the whole time she had been traveling in the grass, and the first time she had met people in the grass. What was so special about this spot?
