Tete kept on grinning as Safuma did a check for herself, it was always good to doublecheck these kinds of things. Afterall, it would certainly ruin their fun if someone came along and stopped them- though this cub was more wary of his father spotting them than a nanny.
When Safuma started to lead the way, Tetemeko jogged along after her eagerly. "I don't think they could sneak up on us," he called, wrinkling his nose at the idea- it definetely wouldn't be good to be snuck up on by them, "We might be able to sneak up on them, though! We're lots smaller."

"They might be super sneaky, though!" Her imagination was wild with ideas, having not seen the big beasts up close. Safuma had no idea that Tetemeko was looking for his father, especially, though she hoped nevertheless that no one would catch them. Going to the border was always difficult no matter how much she pleaded that she wanted to see her friend.
Her crimson eyes glanced back at the cub with a childish smile, white teeth glinting in the sun as her paws carried her quickly, and quietly toward the looming edge of the Pridelands. It wasn't a definite border, of course, but one the lions knew almost instinctively nevertheless. Sliding to a halt, she looked around before picking up her pace again this time side by side with her new friend. Better to talk, "So are we... you know... gonna go into the Rogue lands? Or just follow the edge?" She thought it best to ask the cub so she didn't look a coward when she opted to follow the edge, though she put some emphasis on the second option that clearly defined her choice in the matter.

Tete considered Safuma's declaration of sneaky elephants, pausing for a moment to imagine such a possibility and then taking a look around them warily. Last thing they needed was to be trampled by sneaky elephants!
"Well, we'll pay extra attention so we see them before they can sneak too much," he said firmly, glancing back at Safuma to grin before looking around them again. Oh, he would catch any elephants sneaking up on them, he would!
He was still looking around them suspiciously, still following after Safuma, when she asked where they would go. Unfortunately, he didn't catch the change in tone to lean towards staying near the borders. Fortunately, he had a simple answer, "Wherever we have to to find Elephants, wherever you think we'll find some." Tete would follow Safuma whether she took them far away or stayed nearby.
