((Remind me never to have kids myself, taking care of 6 kittens is enough razz ))
Sweet Stuff gazed at him with twinkling eyes.
"You've never seen the ocean then, my what a huge body of water that is." she exclaimed with a sweet purr as it rumbled in her chest, "Sometime you must go see it, what with the water, and the sansd, and the breeze that just whips your hair this way and that. Then you really know that the land you stand on is just a part of everything."
Turning to look at a passing cloud, "It must be wonderful to grow up and live where you were born. What is your family like for I don't have any family myself," she murmered turning back to him.

He looked at the curls falling into his face and though about all that getting wiped around by the wind. Somehow that didn't sound as pleasant as she seemed to think it was. He'd never be able to get his hair straight after all that. Sand sounded interesting though. There was some in places around the Lake but not enough for him to really know what it was all about.
"My family?" He'd never really thought about explaining them really. Tony had gotten the basics of it but then again he'd also met his parents. "They're normal i guess. Dah's a little weird cause i've got half siblings but Mama loves him so that's all that matters. They're smart ... Mama's a little protective though"

She stared in an envious matter to think what it was like to live where your family was. Her homeland was where her own parents were in their own herds. Time had succedded into growing the little mare into a finely built adult, and thusly she ventured outward to explore what was all out there.
"Wow, Even half siblings makes up a big family. And there's nothing wrong with a protective mama, she helped you grow up to be big and strong," she noted with a shifting of her ears letting them swivel to listen closely to him.
"The herd that I'm staying with has big families themselves. The one called Celendria (herd mare) has two sons with her mate, and she adopted two daughters. And now the one daughter is having babies. Its all so wonderful to watch".
She beamed quite happily because herdlife and all the generations was a gem to witness. So many things going on and others coming and going, it was all so very exciting.

"Still sounds smaller than mine. Got Mama and Dah, two siblings. Then i've got three half siblings and their mama and her family ... and then there's my half sisters foals." He didn't know the rest of them though so he didn't really count them. "I guess it's nice. Always have someone to turn to."
Though he knew Mama and Dah would never turn him away if he had a problem. They loved him and his brother and sister too much. "Why'd you leave your family?" That didn't make much sense to him at all. He'd never want to go somewhere that he couldn't get back to Mama and Dah.

"Well" she responded with a small smile, "I guess I wanted to see what else was out there in the world. And here I am".
She giggled in her usual manner thinking how adventourous the thought was to just pick up and leave from a world you knew most of your life. The blacker stallion she'd arrived with was quite grumpy and littereally stubborn, so of course he took off out on his own leaving her there. But it wasn't all bad really since there were so many things to see and do.
"But its still quite wonderful your family is as close as it was, being wild on the island things tend to drift apart much like the passing seasons. I guess things are done differently in different lands." In truth she was quite envious of a tight knit relationship like the soquili of this land, making a note she'd preform her own new tradition once her own family was started some day.

"Don't know if i'd call it wonderful." He never though about it really. It was just how things were done or something. His parents had never acted any differently. His best friend wasn't as close to his family but that was just them.
"Not everyone's like that. Some families aren't close ... and there's others who don't even know their families." The two mares that lived with the two leggers didn't know their parents. Though those weren't the best examples of Soquili that he could think of.

She frowned thinking how families should always stay together, which was a positive thought in her wondorous little mind. She knew with Saissis, and now Glory that families were tight knit in the herd she roamed with occasionally.
"This is true, I know one mare that doesn't even know what her children look like and she feels really bad for that" she sighed with a sadness for the little flutter. So much you always heard of inexperienced mothers that were young and vulnerable, but you'd never guess it was one in your own herd.
"I guess some families are just different from others, because not everyone and everything is the same. I would say it makes us all unique in a way."

"I think that might be how the mother of those two weird sisters that live near mama and dah is." Then again with how messed up those two were their mother might not have even noticed they were gone. That wasn't a very pleasant thought but it could be true. It was better than thinking they'd been abandoned willingly.
"If everyone's family was the same things would get pretty boring. I mean no one would have funny stories to tell about their parents or anything like that."

"Wierd sisters?" she tilted her head trying to understand, "Whay are they wierd? Do they do odd things I wonder like get into trouble?" she queried with curiousity. Same could be said for Celendria's little mish mash herd of all walfs of life. Some calm, some flighty, some even mischevious, but yet somehow they all lived quite equally and happy in the clearing.
Funny stories. Hmm she'd love to hear some if he wanted to take some time to. At least he was actually talking with her, that was good for a creating an acquantice with someone.
"Have you ever... err done something that everyone laughs at you for? I have a habit of tripping over my own feet still if I'm not careful, and I get made fun of because of it. But I just lift up my chin and keep smiling. Really gets to them ones that sit in giggle fits."
She hated herself for her clumsiness but it was who she was really. Simply smile at life and it will smile back.
