The Doctor kneeled down next to the bed so as to be at more fo a level of the two. He set the chart down on the bed so it was possible for them to read it. When he spoke it was almost as if he was accusing Torment of genocide, "Madam, we found certain alterations to your mental patterns, slight magical changes overlaying your normal brain functions with an energy signature that closely matches this man's. We suspect he has altered your mind with some exceptionally powerful magic."
Torment quickly stood up, insulted at the allegation, "I object! We are not on trial here! The mental patterns were caused by a powerful epic spell created by the metaphysical manifestation of a past consciousness of myself bent on either stealing or destroying my life. The other person that has been taken as a guest, Vince is his name, you will find similar energy signatures running throughout his body and dominating his mind. If you compare energy signatures of the magic and Soul Manipulation I have mastered to the energy signatures in Vince and Kalie you will clearly see several key differences." He looked towards the Titans, of which several had gathered to hear his explaination, amazed that someone could have such a grasp of arcane knowledge.

*Pressing a hand to her temple.. Kalie started to shake her head in disagreement, but instead paused at Torment's outburst, his explanation striking her the same as the accusations he had brought against Soulscour earlier.. confusion and unease.*
"I can't.. place the blame, if there is indeed one to be placed, on him no more then I could on anyone else.. I.. remember very little, and have limited knowledge of the man you say ‘saved’ your city.. yet he knew me, better it seemed then the one who claims to be my love.."
"If you could.. I would have the magic removed.. then perhaps I could place the blame safely without doubt.. if the situation calls for it?"
*Shifting uncomfortably on the bed, Kalie kept her eyes on the sheets, avoiding the eyes of both the Titians and Torment..*

The Titans blinked for a moment before the Doctor shook himself out of his amazement, registering what Kalie had said. He slowly stodd up as he spoke, "Well ma'am, we would certainly remove the enchantment, but it surpasses even our ability. Even if we pooled our resources I doubt we could break the enchantment."
Torment 'humfed' at the Doctor's submission to defeat by a mere spell. He seems to lean against a wall that isn't there, face turned downward as he slowly shakes his head. When the Doctor turned to him as if to ask what his problem was, he spoke before the Doctor even had a chance, "I am always amazed when such high beings give up so easily. I am quite sure that you noticed by now that my magical prowess is much greater than that of the human I appear to be. My father's side of the family would certainly explain it, no doubt. If you would all allow it, especially you, Kalie, I'd like to remove the spell myself. I would allow all your magi and scribes to inspect the seed before I unleash it, if need be. I will not enhance the seed or combine it with any other, simply employ the Epic Spell Seed of Dispell." The faint outlines of a symbol forms before him as he steps forward half a step, pushing off the unseen wall to trace the faint outline of a symbol in midair, an arcane symbol of dispelling, but modified and seeming to be able to dispell most magic with no more that bringing it within yards of the spells effect, no casting even required.

"You may.. if you answer me one question.. why did my safety concern you, more then your own, you almost died for someone who barely knows you.. and only minutes before was bent on seeing you dead. Not that I wasn't thankful for your protection.. it just doesn't coincide with what I was told."
*Meaning the question in no offense, merely for her own reassurance that he meant her no harm, Kalie watched his expression for the faintest of signs of a false security as she asked.*

Torment left the symbol floating in midair as he took a step towards kalie, taking her hand in his, gently caressing it as he looked into her eyes. His voice was filled with sincerity, "Kalie, if you've ever lost anything, ever, so dear to your heart that it physically pained you to know that you might have lost it, you'd know how I felt when I could feel Soulscour place the spell upon you. The Razor Fields, I burned them not to destroy them, but the rage I held against Soulscour was bubbling over and consumed the land around me, the wall to our home, I was blinded with rage and couldn't be bothered to use the door. Nothing seemed important in comparison to you. I know that you still love me, but that you simply don't know it. The spell warped your mind, but not your heart. Thats why I showed such concern, Kalie. I love you and in your heart, you love me, but like the rage and loss of you blinded me, the hate Soulscour holds for me was blinding your sight. As for me not fitting to the descriptions you were told, I can see that, but one must not always believe what they hear. Those words were likely so convincing because when one describes themselves they can usually do a pretty good job."
The Titans remained silent, though the Doctor sent for a Magi to inspect the symbol.

*Staring at him with wide eyes, Kalie pulled her hand away as if his touch burned her, in the same fashion his words did. They were truthful, there was no doubt about that, but it didn't make it any easier for her to accept them. That she might care for the same person who was pouring his heart out to her.. just didn't seem probable. She felt no emotion, when she looked upon Torment.. not hate, love, pity, or even hope. She found nothing, but a vast void and lingering feelings that had belonged to Soulscour.*
*Lightly rubbing the hand he had touch in the other, Kalie looked away.. mumbling the few words she could think of.*
"I'm sorry..."

Torment glanced down at his hand for a moment, simply staring at it for a moment as it trembled slightly before looking back up to Kalie. When he spoke his voice was almost broken and choked off with emotion, "You have nothing to be sorry about, Kalie. Its my fault....I was reckless and I left you alone without any thought as to the consequences, though I could never have dreamed they'd be so severe. I only wish I could erase what happened..."
The Titan Magi had quietly slipped into the room and was astonished as he saw the Dispell seed. Even just being in the same room as it was affecting his magic. He came up to the bed and kneeled down next to it, inspecting the symbol without interupting the two on the bed.

*Keeping her head bowed, Kalie had quieted.. she didn't want to cause him any more pain, but saw no way to ease it from him herself. So she sat silently on the bed, facing him, but not..as her face was cast to the side towards the magi*
"Will it work..?"

The Magi Titan inspected the symbol with astonishment and complete awe, testing it's limits and trying to determine how exactly it was formed. When he spoke it was mostly distracted as he never looked away from the symbol, "This is amazing, its got such moreful antimagic in it that I can barely cast even my most powerful spells, and even those don't fare too well. Yet it also seems extremely focused, not invading my personal supernatural abilities, choosing what to dispell as if it had it's own will." Here Torment interupted, "Or a will supproted by my own."
Without looking directly to Kalie, Torment seemed to pull himself together as the faint outline of the purple wings began to form, folded around him, yet out of the way. His hair was already a blazing inferno of blue flames as he slowly unbuttoned his shirt and let it fall to the bed. He faced away from Kalie for the meanwhile, making assurances, "I appoligize for having to remove my shirt, but it is neccessary to unleash...The Serpent!"
Slowly he reached out to touch the symbol and a fragment of energy that seemed loged in his chest flared to life, burning the image of a serpent across his chest as the symbol itself imploded in upon itself. Tor looked up to the Titans and gestured for the to move back as he positioned himself between Kalie and where the symbol had been just before a powerful surge of energy washed over him, absorbed by the serpent like tattoo he temporarily carried upon his chest.
As the symbol slowly began to reform and grow larger, looking to be a huge serpent with the Seeds glowing along it's sides, Torment called out, his voice rivaling that of a Titan's in intensity, "THE SERPENT, ARISE! I CALL TO THEE IN DIRE NEED. YOU USED MY BODY ONCE BEFORE IN WRATH, NOW I ASK THAT YOU EXTEND YOUR POWER UNTO ME IN A WAY I HAVE NEVER ASKED BEFORE. MY LOVE HAS BEEN TAINTED BY THE SPELL SEEDS OF ANOTHER. HER MIND TORN ASUNDER AND IN EVER DIRECTION, AID ME IN RETURNING HER TO THE NORM!"
The Serpent stopped for a moment in its unending coiling around him and all the Titans in the room, glaring at Torment. His voice was low and gutural, speech only discernable by Torment, who knew the language of which he was speaking, a lost language of epic beasts, "So.....you call to the Epics that are beyond you once more....tell me why I should not consume you for your insolence now." Torment responded in kind, "I have grown in wisdom and power, I ask not for power to better myself and my goals, but to aid one I love, she...I..." Here The Serpent became angered, literally snapping at Torment with his giant maw, "SPEAK! I'll not tolerate babbling. Tell me why I should save her and not any other person you mighrt happen across." Torment stood his ground, though he took a moment to respond, "She means more to me than life itself. I would sacrifice all my powers and standing if it meant I could simply return the two of us to the state we were in before." The Serpent seemed pleased, "Then so be it!"
With a bright flash of light The Serpent seemed to dive through Kalie and wrap back around to plunge into Torment's chest, consuming the shard of energy contained within his chest. Blood began to pour from his face as the Doctor pushed forward against a current of unrelenting waves of energy to try and help the small patient that seemed to be going through a process of being consumed from within. As his body fell and he hit his knees he could only say one thing as the energy patterns ingrained upon Kalie's mind and the similar ones flowing through Torment's body ceased, "Twice in one day...a record..."

"You're forgiv-" *Startled by the large snake, a not so long ago memory trying to surface in her mind Kalie scooted back from Torment, feeling an unwelcome shiver descend on her body, but not fast enough, as the glittering scales of the snake caught her eye just as it tore away from its acquaintance to take a dive for her chest.*
*Gasping Kalie wavered where she sat, a soft cry of pain escaping as the serpent remerged to plummet back into Torment, a deep cascade of red light pouring from her body as it left. Doubling over on the bed, Kalie reached for Torment’s hand as she fell.. the overwhelming rush of her returning senses and history leaving her unaware on the outside while the inside began to brighten and reform to her true self.*

Torment could hear the faint whisperings of The Serpent as he left, telling him to destroy the abomination of Soulscour. If he could do it without Epic Magic, he could have a taste of what was taken, back. He would have to grow again from there. As he fell to unconsciousness his hand weakly fumbled for hers on the bed, but never grabbing hold entirely. One of the Nurses goes to aid Torment but the Magi stops her, holding her back, "He's a far more powerful being than we can know. He holds power against the source of all magic, The Serpent, also known as the Ancestor of Weejas and the other Gods of Magic. If he needs immediate medical attention, give it to him, but I'm advising that we stay back from him." With that the Magi quickly left to go find Neotian.

*Stirring as if in a dream, Kalie lightly nuzzled the bed while her hand gently took hold of Torment's, warmly squeezing it once her digits found their way around his. A content sigh slipping out from her otherwise troubled sleep..as everything slowly began to fall back into place. The events proceeding Soulscour's spell hitting her with a renewed furry as they re-invoked every emotion and sense she had experienced.*

Small embers of flame ran through his hair as he unconsciously returned the pressure of her grip. Small ripples of blue energy ran across his hand into hers as the wounds that had been caused and the burning inscription of The Serpent upon his chest quickly began to heal, the blood around him slowly evaporating with small blue flames.
The Titans pulled away to leave them in peace, one laying Torment's shirt over him as she left. The Doctor pulled one of the Nurses aside, "I want you to go to Neotian and listen to what the Magi advises him, that and check up on the other guest we picked up. See if you can't also find someone to check on the progress of the repairs below." The nurse nodded and quickly made her way out of the room to do as the Doctor had asked. The Doctor himself simply glanced back over to Torment and Kalie, shaking his head. Was he privialged or damned to watch such events unfold before him? The doubt of the solidarity of the Titan community, the only type of it's kinda, clouding his thoughts. His true nature in conflict against the society that had taken great care to build, or at least maintain after The Great Fall.

*Woozily opening her eyes, Kalie's hand took a tighter grasp on his, her grip gradually relaxing as her eyes fully opened to the semi empty infirmary. Thinking back on the recent events she edged closer to Torment, to lean over him.*
"I'm sorry"
*Speaking softly, she lightly kissed his forehead then cheek, as she began to sit up. Brushing the beginnings of a tear away with the back on her hand, Kalie glanced up at the head doctor.*
"Will he be okay ?"

The Doctor nodded as he looked over Torment for a moment, a white line of light running across the bed as a rather basic scan of sorts examined Torment. He folded his arms as he was handed the results rather quickly, "Yes...I think he'll be ok. Though from the strain and degredation of nearly 15% of the cellular structure, currently during regeneration, as well as the extreme level of natural stimulants flowing through his body I'd say that he either hasn't slept in nearly twenty times longer than he's used to, which not knowing his exact race makes it a bit hard to say, or he was almost killing himself. Either way....it was all for you it seems. Heh, I'd almost be inclined to say it was you that had him under some sort of spell." He chuckled slightly and excused himself, there were others that needed his attention now that Torment was stable.
