(Ok! Flashback!)
Flashback:
Renon walked through the village. He looked around at what would soon be his kingdom. His younger brother, the prince, walked beside him. two armed gaurds were close behind, looking around suspiciously. "This place is amazing," Renon muttered, looking around. His black cape billowed behind him, his young blue eyes glittering. He towered over his brother, being about 6 ft. and extremely threatening. But he was a softie at heart and loved this village. All he needed was a queen.

Katriana was on the verge of giving her boss a peice of her mind when she heard horses. Not many people had hores around here. She fixed her worn out old dress and she marched out to see who it was. She'd seen a prince and that was enough to turn her around, however, she found him attractive and nothing like the snooty royal people aroun here like his brother who had purposely ripped the only other dress she had. She caught the eye of the child prince and she went back inside.

Renon watched Katriana. His brother saw this, though. "Don't you dare fall for a da** commoner like her," he snarled. Renon looked at his younger brother. "Who gave you any rights to tell me what to do," Renon threatened. Renon knew it would be hopeless to chase after the commoner. He let out a sigh and glanced at Katriana's house as his horse walked slowly past. He turned to see his brother had stopped in front of her house. "What are you doing?!"
Renon's brother had dismounted. Two gaurds had gotten down next to him. They were all standing in front of Katriana's house. "What are you doing," demanded Renon again, his vocie met by nothing but silence.

Katriana was just about to get back on stage. She'd seen the brother come in and she hissed at him. "You dare do anything I'll beat you right here right now." She knew he wasn't phased. She had no idea what he was going todo until he looked her over know that she was a grown woman instead of the young girl. He was gonna tear her gown again. It took her too long to buy this and it cost a fortune. His words from last encounter replayed in her head "Peasants don't deserve nice things." She knew she really could run much anywhere since his guards stood at the door.

The brother smiled slyly. He pulled out a sword. "Hold her down," he commanded to the two gaurds. He smiled as he watched people stare in horror. The two gaurds obeyed and grabbed Katriana's arms, forcing her to the ground on her back. Renon's brother stood above her and he began to slash away at her dress, leaving cuts on Katriana's skin. He was about to slash her chest when Renon came in. "Stop it," he snarled, yanking his brother back. His brother's sword fell to the ground with a clang and the young man fell backwards, landing on the ground with a sickening thud. Renon glared at the gaurds and they immediatly pulled back, released Katriana's slashed arms.

Katriana was weak in his arms though she held herself well. She rested entirely in the older Prince's arms. She breathed heavily her dress in shreds. She'd spent 100 dollars on this.

"Bring me a dress from my bag." Renon's voice was strict as he stared at the gaurds. One gaurd grabbed his brother while the other handed him a silky blue dress. "Here. If you need help getting it on, I can," he said to Katriana, setting her down gently on the ground.

Katriana looked up at the man and smiled knowing he wasn't like the rest. "You can help me once I wake up." That's when she'd fainted from the amount of bleeding cuts. She'd loved him ever since that moment even though she didn't remember anything but that moment and being at the palace.

Renon caught her in his arms and lifted her up gently into his muscular arms again. A guard held her on the horse while Renon mounted up behind Katriana. He then put one gentle but strong arm around her waist, her head resting on his shoulder. He look over to find his brother unconcious, slung over the saddle of his horse. "Forgive me brother, but I could not let you continue," he muttered, kissing Katriana softly on the head before looking foward. He urged his horse towards the castle.
Renon dismounted in the courtyard, holding Katriana in his arms. A stable boy took his horse as the prince walked in, the young maiden his arms. He went into his grand room and called for a physician. Renon set Katriana gently down on the plush bed and pulled off her tattered dress so the female physician, Renon's younger sister, could clean her up. "Oh my," said Rena as she went to work. Renon sat nearby, his hand entwined with Katriana's limp one. Rena smiled at her older brother before standing up. "Now she will be ok. The young maiden just needs to awaken. Now I must attend to our foolish brother," said Rena, walking out. Renon pulled the silky blue covers over Katriana's bandaged body. He dared not dress her until she awoke.

Katriana had awaken not knowing were she was, but she didn't want to get up. She moaned softly feeling her body bandaged and weak. She forced herself up into a sitting position. She had no idea why that prince had hated her. the only thing she knew was that it started when she wouldn't speak to him. He thought he was better than her and that he could get whatever he wanted.

Renon let out a small sigh of relief and stood up. "I'm glad your awake," he said, smiling. He walked over to a closet and opened it, revealing an array of dresses. He picked out a soft violet one. "What do you think," he asked as he walked back over to Katriana. "One question, you don't mind me seeing you naked, do you," he asked, his voice not faltering.

Katriana blushed at his bluntness. She knew she'd need his help so that she wouldn't have to move too much and open her wounds. "I shouldn't mind. I guess it would be repayment as well as an honor. I'm gonna need your help anyway so I don't injure myself further."

Renon smiled at her gently before pulling back the covers. Not taking in what he saw, he lifted Katriana gently up into a sitting position. He dropped the silky pink dress over her head, taking care of the bandages and pulld it down. He then put her arm around his shoulder and lifted her into a standing position. The dress fell down her knees and stopped.

Katriana leaned on him for complete support. She couldn't do anything but feel the strong body beneathe her knoowing that there would be no where else she'd rather be. She wondered how long she'd been out. She didn't care to ask. "Thank ou for carrying me here. This is a wonderful room, however, I don't belong here. I'm a simple woman. I have a simple life."

"I'll gladly take you in. Who knows when my brother will strike." Renon smiled at her, his smile soft. His brown eyes glittered with a certain love.
