Goto laughed heavily. This kid really like to get the full picture when asking questions. He could tell he would make a great tracker ninja when he grew up. "Vell ye see Kiddo, that be the most vell crafted sword in all of Kiriagakure. You see the blade is made from pure gold, n it be the only blade I have engraved, with pure silver hilt. It be worth more then anyone could ever pay. It was meant....never mind all dat dough."

Rhiko frowned, "Sorry to do this, but you need to be a bit more open. Your cooperation is vital. Please don't hold any information back. This team needs all the information we can get before we actually begin. As long as we have as much information as posible... we have much less chances of falling onto a false lead when we actually get to work. Also, if you can... do you recognise any people here as common customers." He refered to the people around him in the store still shoping and looking around. "People that are common customers, have less percentage posability to be the cuprit, they can be easily recognised. Meaning we can trust them more then a random person, but saddly they can still be suspects." He sighed and shruged, a bit anoyed he was getting nowhere fast, "However, with a simple casual interegation, we could posably clear them all, and gain more information involving the case in the process. You can see alot... but bystandards see what the culprits don't want YOU to see. The culprit makes you thier top priority. Others can be shruged off without much worry."
A thought came to his head that worried him, Only... no noise... this isn't normal... a common theif would make SOME noise... especially durring the break in. Even more so... a common thief would leave some obvious point of entry. A broken window... a broken lock... which all make some noise... even removing the katana and the other merchandice would make noise. I must not over think... but causion on the posable pursuit of a shinobi... is vital. [[Gather Information: Specific- DC=15 Roll= _+0=_]]

Just last month I had a taki-nin ask me to build him a puppet. You would have better luck looking around the store for ye clues then asking this old man. I got two hands and two legs. I am a smithy nothing more."

Rhiko frowned, a bit angry at the answer, He could be a bit more helpfull... a simple, Sure, I recognise so & so over there in the corner. Eiyey yey What a simple question gone wrong... where do i go now... I need to think this through. God... I need a suspect!

A sword of pure gold...? Koyuki stood alongside Mizu, listening intently as Rhiko began questioning Goto. At the least, this whole mission was quite interesting. After all, the Fubuki clan had their own share of 'priceless swords' as well. Well...sword, since one of their God's Legacy nodachis were stolen a couple decades back. "Swords don't just grow legs and walk off. Even if this sword disappeared 'without a trace'...some sort of traceable imprint would've remained... Be the culprit a shinobi or bandit...either a chakra or scent imprint would've remained around the suspect area..." His voice trailed off, deep in thought. "Were anyone else ever allowed to directly see...touch the sword...besides you, Goto-dono?"

Rhiko turned abruptly, and looked at the Fubuki boy, "Are you serious? If you were listening, the sword was always in plain sight, right up on the wall. Second, if anyone ever did ask to hold and get a good look at the sword, it would be far too obvious and stick out like a sore thumb. This culprit obviously has some skill... and I doubt would make such a nieve mistake."
Rhiko was still puzzled, and held a serious look on his face as he thought, "What is the next step..." he thought out loud, then turned back to the owner, coming up with another probable question, "Ok, is it alright if I ask a little more about YOU. Can you tell me a bit about your background? This may sound pointless, but I'm going somewhere with this. Other then your current occupation, did you have any other jobs or carreers?" "Not nice to talk to your teammates like that. You are suppose to have each others backs, not demean each others intelligence. Has Karite not taught you youngins nothin?" Goto shook his head at the words, he remembered when he taught Karite that same lesson. He thought it was burnt in there memory. "I am a retired hunter-nin who fought in the last great ninja war between Kiri and Iwa. I lost mobility in my left leg so I walk with a slight limp. I use to study weaponry when I was specialized jounin. Which is how I came upon the bloody Blade. I have built and owned this shop for about six years now. I have enemies from neighboring countries but none in Kiri. I am loved by my village."

Rhiko stood feeling the slight twinge he got from the disapline he was recieving from the old hunter nin. But paid more attention to the information he was fed. His eyes widened as he heard he used to be a hunter nin, "H-Hunter Nin?" He repeated pointlesly, then he spoke his first step to a conclution outloud, "This almost garentees the culprit is a shinobi. Unless you have fallen FAR from your old abilities... I highly doubt any normal thief could sneak by you, am I correct?" ((This isn't really trying to gather information... it's a retoracle question.))

Mizu listened intently to the questions and answers being given around her; she could tell that Goto-san was spent as far as giving more information. Thinking of any other possible options she decided that another option would be as ask some casual questions randomly.
Mizu looked around and decided to approach a woman browsing. “Excuse me miss, sorry for interrupting.” Mizu apologized for bothering the woman before continuing with her question. “Have you seen anyone wondering around with a golden blade engraved in silver?” She asked as casually as possible.

“It’s okay I’m just browsing.” The women said looking at Mizu “But no I haven’t, sorry.” She said then continuing her previous actions.
Mizu thanked the lady for her time as she began to scan the rest of the people. There would be too many to ask one by one; she sighed a bit deciding to keep to this plan until she devised another. As she listened to the crowed of people gossiping among themselves she almost instantly thought of a new plan. Mizu smiled to herself though she wasn’t so sure how well this would work; she decided that she would tell her teammates this plan after she accomplished step one.
Mizu slowly approached a couple of people and smiled at them nervously. She wasn’t good at this talking openly with just anyone thing, but she promised herself she would try her best. By this time the two people were exchanging weird looks to each other wondering what Mizu’s problem was. After a few more seconds the genin randomly spoke which earned her weird looks from the two in front of her “ So I heard someone was walking around Kiri all big and bad like, saying something about a sword they were carrying and stuff…” Mizu trailed off as she noticed the strange looks only continued to get stranger. That didn’t go how she planned, Mizu didn’t do these kinds of things well, spreading gossip just seemed kinda wrong. As she continued to get the strange looks though she felt she should try again to redeem herself.

Mizu cleared her throat as she ignored their stares; it made her a bit more nervous. “What I meant to say was…” She trailed off again trying to avoid eye contact “Um did you hear about the guy going around the village showing off his huge sword to all the girls…NO!...I..I MEAN!” Mizu began to panic a bit more as she realized what she said sounded completely wrong. “I didn’t mean it like that.” Mizu said attempting to correct herself, she was now receiving chuckles form the teary eyed people that couldn’t resist the urge to laugh at her. She couldn’t belief she said that, she would pick two other people to share some gossip with. She walked away from the laughing pair hearing the words “I think I did hear that some where.”

Mizu quickly approached a new set of people talking as she looked back on the pair that were still laughing. She sighed as she turned her attention back to the suddenly quite trio in front of her. They gave her the same weird look as the first two did when she first neared them; but she was determined to not let that faze her this time “I hear someone’s been walking around with an expensive looking golden sword. Apparently they’ve been bragging about how it was given to them by so kinda spirit.” Mizu said loud enough for the majority of the customers to hear. The trio continued to give her strange looks but she had a feeling the rest of the crowd began to buzz with talk of the news.
She left the trio and headed back to her teammates “Sorry to interrupt.” Mizu said making her presence known. “I came up with an impulse plan, I don’t know how well it will play out though. But I’ve got some people gossiping, possibly about our unidentified culprit. That was step one, step two is to listen in on conversations and see if you hear anyone talking about someone they’ve seen lately with a golden sword. Step three takes action when one of us hears talking about the person or the sword, we question them about there “gossip” to see if we can reveal any truth or at least see if anyone’s been walking around with the possible sword.” Mizu finished explaining herself and her plan, checking on the faces of her teammates for confusion “So…if you wanted I’d be grateful in having some help with the listing, questioning, or possibly more gossip.” Mizu said as a way of asking her teammates for help, though they didn’t have to help if they didn’t want to.

A man in the back of the crowd noticed the rising talk of the sword. He knew this sword well. He stole it. Thinking to himself, he knew it would not be good to stay here much longer. They would be on his tail any moment now. Walking out of the store he disappeared into thin air. He was going to warn his boss of the rise in suspicion.

"This sword was displayed in plain sight. Many a customer had seen and passed it. Permission or not, touching would not have been impossible." His voice was detached, even perhaps somewhat bored. "Chakra decreases when a shinobi passes his prime...but skill and experience does not. Which means our culprit...is either part of ANBU or ANBU level at least. Unless it's a member of ANBU or a more talented shinobi whom stole the sword, the thief probably is still within village borders with so many sentries around." Well, at least Koyuki had some idea where to ask around afterwards...first, around the shop. Then, off to the village gates.
