I have longish hair now, but I'm getting it cut soon, so that shouldn't be a problem.
[HOMG. I love Danars~]
So...would I be better off wearing stompy boots, too? O___o

I'd say probably XD But if they make your feet hurt walking around in them, definitely don't wear them.

I should probably wear my normal shoes, actually. They can't get hurt THAT bad, can they? >>;;

Its not the shoes that are the problem ^^; Its the other people with steel toed boots or something jumping up and down on your foot in the mosh pit ;0;

When i go to diru or jrock gigs i always wear something that expresses me but is functional and wont get damaged. I take little to nothing to the gigs so i dont have to go through bag checks or cloakroom. If i bring food or stuff i take it ina plastic bag i can throw away after

dont wear jewelry is your best bet. then there's no chance of having any confiscated. wear shoes that will protect your feet [no converse, you'll die]. no bags. minimal amount of makeup [you'll sweat and it'll run, inevitably]. great game to play [especially if you're a girl] = roshambo xd
and don't make like you're with any little kids that the band could mistake you for a teen mother sad

xd Did Xule learn not to associate with little kids at concerts from experience? XD XD XD
Actually, I found a nifty makeup trick that worked wonders for sweaty experiences--I blotted concealer all over my eyelids before I did anything, that held it really well for most of the concert. I'd looked like I'd taken a shower after both concerts and my eyeshadow had totally disappeared, but my eyeliner still looked awesome post-mosh. 3nodding
...well, nothing's for certain, I wear makeup only when I'm camwhoring or at a concert, so I don't know if it'll work for everyone. I used Urban Decay's Smoke Out pencil (best. eyeliner. EVAR. heart ) and wore it mildly heavy, and I don't wear mascara, so that might be why mine didn't run.
....and what's roshambo? Don't leave me uncultured, here! gonk xd

roshambo has no point but to inflict pain in others. you shout 'ROSHAMBO!!!' and whack the other player in the crotch as hard as you can. makes for an amusing time-waster 3nodding

After reading all this, it seems I made perfect apparel choices. I wore a sleeveless shirt that buttons up. It was black, but it was quite cool inside the Myth.
And earrings that are basically Miyavi's lip ring, and a dragon necklace in honor of Kyo.
And stompy boots with buckles with skulls on the end, and they zip up on the inside. I didn't wear the black studded bracelet thing I usually wear, that snaps on, as it can come off real easily.
I have hair about to my waist, so I had it up in a ponytail, and even then it got a little messed up/came loose. No matter though. I was having too much fun.
And I of course wore black nail polish.
Speaking of sweating.... There was this guy who was kinda big, and he was sweaty, and his armpit was practically in my face some of the time. eww.....

Oh gawd. gonk That reminds me of Ozzfest a few years ago. Not once, not twice, but four freaking times did somebody's hairy armpit slam into my face. crying I lasted 25 whole minutes before I had to escape from that hell. Oh at the Dir en grey concert I went to back in February, some guy who was standing in front of me farted twice. That was just not right since we were all packed like sardines.

I think I was alright, I wore layered camis in blue and pink, my jeans that I wore to the last Dir en grey concert, my concert pants if you will, and some converse. But I wasn't stepped on and my feet only hurt from standing waiting for the show to start. I skipped the jewlery and just had a little hobo bag that was just big enough to hold a few essentials and could be held onto during the moshing. I opted not to wear black/my Dir en grey shirt in order to stand out from the crowd, and it worked. I think that should make planning for next concert easier.

/: I actually see a lot of girls wear skirts to concerts. For some reason they always come out looking just as pretty and perfect as when they went in. I can't figure out how the hell they do it. Unless they're just standing in the back the whole time. D:>
