"Never knew your parents...?"
Kindle stared at her, puzzled. How did one not know their father or mother? Who else could she have been raised by? Perhaps dragons had some other way of raising their young... but abandoning them surely didn't seem to be the best option!
"I know my mother loves me... but sometimes she seems to forget that I've grown up. It's not like I'm trying to leave home or anything... I just wish she'd treat me with a little more deserved respect, that's all."
She giggled at Saphira's comment. It was hard to imagine what it would feel like to keep all that fire and heat within one's stomach... so there wasn't any doubt that the blue dragon would indeed end up with a stomach ache or two. She had to be careful herself when it came to playing with others; her own skin seemed pretty tough against her flames, but when romping around with other Soquili, she tended to forget they were even there and others tended to leave the game with a few burns here or there.
"Fire does express emotion, but not many realize that," Kindle pointed out, shifting her weight from one side to the other, "I get asked all the time about my flames and if they hurt me, but you're the first to notice any change in them at all with my moods. I think it takes a special creature to be able to tell these sorts of things."

"Aye, I am but from just an egg, well, in the last land I was in. Here I seem to be a bit different.." She lifted her hoof up and laughed. "But no matter, there are other people that were involved in my life who meant just as much to me as parents with love would." She smiled to her warmly. "You will find that the love that parents give is unmatched to other kinds of love in life, but no matter, I am content with the love I have found in my past."
Ahh yes, her past. Something she constantly thought about in this vast Soquili land. She seemed to have arrived, but Eragon.. hadn't yet. Maybe one day, he and more dragons would arrive. Until then, she would just wait, as calmly as she could.
"Have you approached your mother about it?" She pondered for a second the right way to phrase this. "Maybe if you approach her very "adult-like", she will respond better? This isn't to say that I don't think you are adult-like, but maybe change the way you approach it?" She didn't know her mother well, so the situation was a hard one for Saphira to figure out. "Maybe just spice up the way you talk to her, or something." She giggled, "I am of no use." She caught Kindle's eyes as she laughed. Hopefully what she said midly made sense.
She glanced down at her legs again. "Naw, its not anything special my dear. I can relate very much, with how fire affects me, so seeing it on you is a thrill. Others will just never understand I guess, especially since they don't possess fire."
She thought about one last thing for a second. "So, do you have any siblings? Do you parents act differently for them?"
