Kishi lay on her bed relaxing, she'd only been home from her two week babysitting job a few hours ad she was exhausted. Laying on her stomach she had her wings spread wide, both to keep them from cramping and to work on her stamina for keeping them spread. For the most part her body was handling the new weight well but she wanted to increase how her back muscles were so that when she began flying again there would be no risk of them giving out. Speaking of flying Kishi really wished Del had Hazard about personal space. The toxic green and grey mini dragon was a speedy buzzing pest. He was only as long as her hand but damnit he could cause trouble when he wanted to since he still had great strength for his size Closing her eyes Kishi hoped that ignoring the dragon would make it go away. Two weeks in the company of only a toddler has been fun but also trying on the young succubus's patience and she was ready to lash out. With her eyes closed and her body as far from alert as possible Kishi never noticed Hazard drop a small figurine than bail for the safety of Del's room. the height of the fall plus the weight of the figure would have left only a nasty bruise had it landed anywhere else. To kishi's misfortune it landed on her neck severing head from spine and causing her to wink out of existance.
The spirits in charge of killing guardians so that they could recieve their charges really hated this job sometimes. It had been simple to push the figurine in midair so that it fell that way but still it sucked killing off innocent...ish people. Making sure to keep her wand close to her when they brought her body to their realm to repair her and send her soul to be bonded with that of her future charge. Placing the now repaired succubus's still form in a bed on the Samadueanna, wand in her hands. After the bonding with the two deities she would care for, a golden chain with a funny relic on it, appeared around Kishi's neck, and she was able to wake up. Diyaka, the ship's 12 year old fire god guardian informer, walked into the room to see the woman he'd briefly met who knew his mother, laying on the bed. He'd been younger when they met but still she had been nice and it was sad that she'd had to die, but at least she was alive again and going to have kids. She was a nice lady so the kids would be safe. THe boy sat in his chair at the end of the bed, waiting for Kishi to stir, holding his large leather bound magic book and a PDA like thing.
As Kishi returned to the land of the awake her tail twitched first searching for something to throw at the damned dragon who'd knocked her out. Finding nothing and not hearing the sound of wing beats she opened her eyed only to panic at the unfamilair site. how could she have dreamed again, she was done growing forwasn't she, she hadn't been this age nearly long enough to and besides what was that boy doing there? As her eyes focused on Diyaka and she finally recognized him, her grip on her wand tightened " What the hell is going on here.?" There was no sweetness in her voice, she wanted answers and she wanted them now.
"A lot is going on." Diyaka said. "Something out of everyone's control caused your death so you could be bonded with the soul of a reborn god, and then brought you back when the bonding finished so you could care for reborn godlings." he told her in a somewhat sad tone.
: Kishi stared at Diyaka like he was out of his mind. She was supposed to care for children, she who had not long ago been a child, she who was fighting her inner nature to keep from molesting the males of age around her. Sure kishi loved kids and someday she wanted some because then she could raise them as she had been except with less disasters. her heart punded widly in her chest, her soul was bonded to a child, a god no less and she was responsible for it. The tender nurturing part of her was happy in a way to have something to care for. the wilder fiercer part of her was confused and annoyed, why was she tieing herself down at such an age? It argues that she was too young and uncontrolled in her self to have time for a child. it argued that a childs needs would impede her own. Another part of Kishi was simply scared for a child raised by her. she had no job and while her father would support her how was that fair. Her family was crumbling around her and here she was adding to it. Not to mention that her home was a portal to hell and. Kishi looked faint, she'd stand up to warriors and monsters with no problem but suddenly this thought of sudden uncontrolled parenthood was overwhelming.
"Do you need me to get Mom?" Dia asked nervously. Usually guardians got angry or freaked out with him or a bit happy but never...like this. She seemed to upset!
Kishi nodded , she was slowly losing her grip on reality and a 12 year old was not likely to help her get it back anytime soon
Dia stood and walked out of the room, leaving the book and the PDA in his seat. Rushing down the hall he went to find Rouge and leave Kishi a minute to think.
Abstinthe Kisses: Kishi wayed back and forth in the bed clenching and unclenching her fists as she tried to think. Why her, why out of all the people in the universe had whoever was doing this chosen her. she was young, unstable and emotionaly dependant on her best friend ( something she needed to do something about)
Rouge entered the room, looking a lot less badass then usual. Her hair was in small pigtails on her head and she wore a plain blue turtleneck and a pair of jeans. "Hey Kishi. Dia asked me to come talk to you." she said calmly, grabbing the PDA and the book, then walking over to sit on the end of the bed and talk to Kishi. "I take it he told you what happened somewhat, yes?"
Kishi nodded " Why me?"
"No one's entirely sure. No one knows why most of the guardians were chosen. It is believed that a higher power thinks that the chosen guardians and deities could benefit from being united. And some are just meant for each other. Two guardians received children who were actually physically related to them."
Kishi looked a bit disturbed by the last statement, like she didn't have enough problems with her relations. She wasn't certain about the meant to be thing but the idea that somehow she had something to offer to these children, something only she could give them well that she could live with. " how exactly does this all work?"
"Depends on which part. Do you mean the raising of the kids and how they grow?"
Kishi nodded " yeah i'm pretty sure i don't wanna know how the killing and soul bonding thing works"
"That's good cause I don't completely know how that works." Rouge laughed. "The relic around your neck turns into a baby or babies in two days time during an odd dream. Then after a few weeks something happens to them that is in some way significant to what they are deity of and after that they go to sleep and when they wake up their older. Diyaka tells me that the change to preteen was triggered by a memory of his past." Rouge told the girl
Kishi frowned " past memory dreaming is often a b***h and it seems like these children grow so fast, must they. it can't be good for them."
"I have no idea really. Diyaka seems to be doing fine as do the others but it is a bit hectic on the mind I guess. I wouldn't know, I'm not the one whose dealt with that sort of thing here."
Kishi nodded some of her kind adapted to thier strange growth well enough " but do they have to grow that fast?" kishi foudn it hard to beilve she could get attached to children who's lives sped by so quickly
himatami1313: "I don't know. We're generally in the dark with it. I can find out which deity or deities you have and show you what they used to look like."
Kishi looked thoughtful " just who it is is fine, what the child looks like can be a surprise."
"Okay." Rouge said with a smile. Poking the PDA a few times she read it. "This says you will be guarding twin deities. The deity of Epics and the deity of Astronomy."
Kishi blinked , twins.. she'd heared it was possible but really.. twins? She paled a bit and sucked in a deep breath " um ok male or female." don't panic , not panicing is key to not fainting and fainting would be very bad right now.
"Female." Rouge said calmly.
Again she nodded, at least she'd be able to help them through female moments and she wouldn't feel weird bathing them. bathing.. damnit she'd bathed art not that long ago but she was a toddler, kishi had never tried to bathe a small fragile baby before." is there anythign else I should know. anything i need to worry about?"
"No. But if you need money or a hand in caring for them or whatever, we've got plenty of room on the ship and the Tison monitary difference should be enough to help you out."
: " I think I just need to go home and discuss thigns with my father before I figure out exactly what I'm going to do. I'll certainly be in contact though. oh and if i could get some sort of information of where these gods are from? they should have soem part of their heritage to grow up with." Kishi had been raised strangely and ina family like no other she knew but she'd always had reminders of her navajo roots
"They're from Rishoku. We start giving them classes on their heiritage when they hit the child stage and up. I'll give you our number and take you to the transporter room so we can send you home. If Malen needs any information, just call." the blonde told her with a nod.
Still confused and disturbed by this whole ordeal Kishi nodded, well at least her children ( and gods what a strange thought that was, thaqt made her stomach fill with butterflies) would leanr about thier former homes. she paused for a moment " how do you kill gods anyways i thought only special weapons and hinds blood did that and only in certain myths?" kishi didn't want to take children home she could accidentaly kill
"That's in Gaia. In Tison deities can be killed if the source of their immortality-in this case the tree of life-is destroyed."
" How odd, but interesting" Kishi slid out of bed and tested her balance, everythign on her seemed fine. she glanced down briefly to admire the relic on her neck. it shape and colours were a riot and rather beautiful in a way she couldn't explain
"Well anyway, this way to the transporter room." Rouge said cheerfully. And with that the girl was lead away and another guardian had recieved their charge.

Username: Lilith’s child Entry title: Whiskey. Tango. foxtrot. Mood: ahhhhhhhhhhh Music: sandstorm ~ da rude
Life is filled with challenges and then there is this. I have children, yes children, children that my soul is tied to even though I know next to nothing about them. I mean I know kids, I babysit I play with those who come to the headquarters and in general I like them but I mean I haven't been this big that long and already I've gotten myself children.
I'm light headed and faint, my stomach is filled with butterflies and i have no clue what I'm doing. Nothing I've ever experienced has prepared me for this and i don't know if i should cry or scream or puke.
I have so much to digest and so little time to do it in. How can I be expected to do this, to adapt to something so drastic.
Worse my father he.. he's trying to support me but i can hear him reaming out rouge like it's her fault and sayign how unfit i am and damnit what if i am.
What if despite the fact that this is apparent meant to be , what if I'm not able to do this and i somehow fail these children. what if being a bad parent is genetic and i'm doomed to screw them up somehow or I fail to protect them in thier most important moment and damnit they've already died once i don't want this to happen again becuase I'm hopeless.
~ lost beyond words
Unable to type further or even skim her work for errors Kishi curled into a ball on the couch and burst into tears. Why, why did the world have to be so confusing and cruel. she just wanted to live , be special to someone and not have regrets when she died. why did it all have to get so complicated.

Bringing home the babies
Kishi was exhuasted, she hadn't really rested since she'd learned of her impending arrivals. She been to busy panicking and being sick to get anything done. With her best friend gone and her father supportive but concerned about her and her abilities Kishi had been unwilling to leave her room for any reason over the last days. Del ( feeling guilty about hazards unwitting role in all of this) and her father had scrounged up the basics she'd need to be prepared for the children's arrival but she'd still have to do much more shopping soon. However soon was not now because Kishi just didn't have the energy, the stress of the past weeks combined with the past few days and her inability to draw energy as a succubus had taken it's toll on her. Curled up in a faux mink blanket Kishi let sleep overcome her.
As she slept her soul floated up, hovering a little bit above her body. The relic glowed warmly around her neck and she was able to see her lovely sleeping figure beneath her. Good she wasn't dead again. But what was with that odd door on the other end of the room? And why did the relic beckon her to it?
" No rest for the weary" Kishi murmured watching herself for a moment. it was sort of odd to look at ones own body when not in it, it reminded her a bit of her past life adventures. She eyes the mysterious door with caution but advanced towards it. unable to deny a need pullign her to it
When she had finally passed through the door it vanished behind her, trapping her temporarily in a strange place. She stood in a strange place. It was a floating building made up of different circular platforms and connected by many odd swirling platforms. Some levels were walled and some were not. Those that were had rooves that domed up into points. They were a reddish tone with a strange gold net like design on them. The walls were an off white and the decor was usually red satinish with gold trim and tassels. Sitting on a more open platform, around a circular mahogany table, were two young women. Both had obsidian skin and lips made visible by red shining paint. One had short somewhat flitty red into gold tipped tendril extensions from her odd head that formed a strange hairdo. Her large rounded tipped ears were adorned with many studs and she wore clothing that Kishi herself would probably wear out. The other had two ponytails that were somewhat reminiscent of Chi from Chobits, that were also tipped tendrils that turned into hair in a way. She wore gown though it was black, with a high collar and an open back. Both had large bat wings and held staves of a strange type. There was a red line visible through each chest though it wasn't an open wound-they'd been stabbed through eachother. And the relic seemed to want Kishi to touch them.
" No" Kishi said frimly her feet rooted to the dream's ground. she wasn't going anywhere in the daffy duck building. it was as far as she was concerned unstable, It made no logcial sense and she didn't trust it.
Kishi was thrilled at the idea of getting near the other women, something rather unatural was going on and all her instiancts cried out that she should be alert.( not done)
Despite this that same feeling that had leaed her through the dissapearing door pulled her towards the inert bodies. " Like i haven't seen enough dead people lately" she grumbled. she had to admit though that the two were even in death more beautifull then she'd imagined. " least I'm seeign it before they do" (tbc)
Nervous but determindly she walked foreward and and reached a hand out to each. When Kishi's hands touched the women their bodies glowed black for some reason. The relic around her neck turned almost to shadow and shot from her neck, splitting in air and entering the two bodies-causing them to shrink. After the glowing subsided there were two babies-looking quite a lot like the women from before-sitting on the table looking up at Kishi. both were cute as buttons.
kishi stared at the babies in shock. of all the things she'd been ecpecting this was not one of them. she crouched down beside them lookign back and forth between them tryign to figoure out exactly how she was supposed to get them home( ahh i wanted winged babies) [1: The babies looked up at Kishi and the one reached up her arms to be picked up.
[ Gently she managed to scoop the girls into her amrs being careful not to squish them too much or fail to support them. " happy rebirthday" she murmured. As she claimed the children, the door reappeared behidn her, wide open, allowing the girl to go back to her body and wake up with the little girls next to her.

It was days like today that Kishi felt ok with life. it wasn't wonderfull and it wasn't horible just ok, liveable. Sidra and Sari were curled up togeather on a blnaket on the living room floor peacefully sleeping.
This in and of itself was a rare and wonderful thing. For some reason the two were not on the same clock and they demanded feedings changing and attention at differing times leaving Kishi little time for herself. Certainly she could have asked her father or Raven for help but she was stubborn and she wanted to bond as best she could with her strange children before lettings others get to familiar with them.
Still staring down at her ebony skinned twins she couldn't help but smile. They could easily be mistaken as her children what with the dark skin and small and delicately membraned wings, their eyes were dark purple several shades brighter than that of her best friend. they were beautifull and Kishi was proud to claim them as her own even if they had no biological ties to her.
she had at first been wary but not she had come to accept them and the strange relationship they shared
This was good, she was tired but content in this aspect.
Still her body craved release and it would not hold out much longer. The more she fought the more agitated and exhausted she became. Her tail twitched in irritation and she sighed each passing hour was a hard fight to keep control of herself, soon she would have to give for feel of illness.
Apart of her still remembered her talk with Yazhi and how she had felt about using their power and sex. It did not bode well to dwell on that.
Somehow she'd sort it all out.
She missed Zah horribly and was annoyed that he wasn't reachable, this was such an important time in her life and her best friend was no where to be seen. Yes she wanted to be not so dependant on him, but still to lean on him once in a while couldn't hurt.
All in all it was another day in the life of one reborn teenage succubus just trying to get by.

Moving Kishi rocked the twins double bouncy seat with her foot as she typed briskly on her laptop. With Ianna and her father broken up and her father and Del moving out soon she too was moving on with her life and moving out. She didn't feel one hundred percent confident in trying to raise children alone so she wasn't looking to move out completely on her own. She'd decided she was either going to try to move close to her father's friend and Ryvan's mother, Raven or possibly if rouge would have her onto her ship. Both places would offer her somewhere safe to raise her children, a chance to be semi independent but with a sensible adult near by in case of emergency. Both also allowed her the potential to move into working since schooling was impossible at this point. Rouge was bound to have room for her somewhere on her staff even in a simple cleaning or cooking position. Staying on Gaia with Raven would allow her to look for work in a place she knew and shops tended to pop up on Gaia all the time. There was always a few help wanted signs in windows. On top of that both places would allow her to work on using her skills some more without worrying about upsetting other patrons of her household. Kishi still did physical training but she had relaxed in her weapons training lately to focus on her skills gained from her recent growth. Kishi was for the moment undecided but she hoped to make up her mind soon. Looking down at the peacefully napping twins she felt her heart warm. Their future hung in the balance of her decision and yet they were so calm, not sensing the stress and conflicting emotions their mother was facing. Somehow their peacefulness reassured Kishi and returned to her musing with a more optimistic outlook of her future.
