It's natural to feel a desire for someone to be punished for hurting someone else. There's nothing wrong with anger, but thet hing is...in this case it's probably being misdirected. If women think a fetus is just like a tumor, there's no reason to wish pain on them because they're not trying to hurt anyone. Really, very few women who have abortions want to hurt anything (the few that do are like the few we have in our camp that bomb clinics...few and far between). Maybe that anger should be aimed at people who are misleading the public and pushing for this procedure to be legal when they know full well the reality of it.

i don't think any of them are really dumb enough to actually think a fetus is a tumor. That's just an excuse they use, and a rather weak argument at that.

I was just wondering, does she regret not being able to have children now?

Actually I think they've already found this out for the saline type of abortion and it's pretty much discontinued. I can name another thing that was considered useful for awhile. Remember thalidomide?

Yes i'm sure they know that injecting certain things into a body is bad and dangerous. Abortion is dangerous and carries more risks then going through with pregnancies. Both have risks but surgery adds more risks do to it being botched,infections,ect...

singin4Christ-At least she'll never have to worry about unwanted pregnancies and children again (if she now wants one, she can always adopt).

I don't think it's dumb. That's how my doctor described it to me.

I was trying to get off my medication because it has a high chance of causing birth defects. He didn't want to take me off, I explained that abortion was out of the question and he just sighed patiently, and explained that until the third trimester, a fetus is just like a tumor that can't think, feel, or really do anything at all.

When a neurologist, a highly respected one for that matter, starts saying it, I've got to wonder who else is saying it. As misguided as it is to think, "Oh he's my doctor, so he always knows best," that's what a lot of people think.

Well, some doctors will tell you anything to get you to do what they think is best.

And what they think is best = what has the least chance of a malpractice suit.

i don't really care what it can or cannot do. Unless you can give me a damn good reason to kill another human being, you've got no business doing it.

BTW, having an education and being a doctor doesn't mean you can't still be a moron.

Well, that's what you get when you have someone shove metal into your v****a to kill your consensually created children, I suppose.

I agree, it's their job to make money and they'll say all kinds of things if it will get them money.
I know alot of doctors out here like to say all kinds of things to try and get me to take all kinds of pills even if they don't help and I don't need them (some made me worse).

Just because they say something doesn't mean their always right, they can be wrong too.

From what I was told in biology, fetus=/=tumors. Their two different things. One is an unborn human and one is a illness that can be cancerous and in not a human.

I'm fed up with doctors. The awesome ones I've met are all shutting down because they refuse to do the things that make the money to stay in. The bad ones play the game to drain people of their money. The good but not awesome ones do nothing because they don't want to get malpractice suits, but they won't hurt anyone.

I wish it was, but the biggest reason I didn't move to Norway is because I couldn't get treated for lyme disease there.

Tis not a capitalist place.
