The spreadsheet I've been working on. I'll likely be constantly tweaking it, so perhaps pester for updates if desired.
Edit: Oh hot dog! The Plus bonus affects gross wheat production, not net production. *drools a little*.

Bumped another of my level 1 wheat fields to level 2. Puts my wheat production at 14/hr again. Just before 6am I'll be able to bump one of the level 2's to level 3 (+6/hr | +0/maint).
Welcome aboard, Allegro.
I go thud now.

Y'know what would be mega-awesome?
If this game had a @#$% building que(SP?). Or better yet, a system where " if X happens, build Y" or something.

See the Plus Account. As I said above, you get free gold to experiment with for Plus options, so if a build queue is what you want... razz

A starting village (4,4,4,6), with level 10 of all resource nodes, and a fully upgraded grain mill and bakery, level 10 granary and warehouse, level 5 main building, and level 1 rally point and barracks will be as follows (by my calculations):
Total grain production: (6 x 200) x 1.5 = 1800. Resource grain drain: 212 .: 1800 - 212 = 1588 Building drain: Bakery (12), Grain Mill (11), Granary (10), Warehouse (10), Rally Point (1), Main Building (6), Barracks (4); 1588 - that lot = 1534.
So a maxed out production town early on can self-sustain 1534 of their basic unit type (possibly 2 less if their grain production limits it). This is ignoring the possibility that they can turn their grain production negative and ask friends for grain supplies; or build a marketplace and constantly trade their other resources for grain; or raid other people for grain.

Making liberal use of the 1:1 merchant functionality (see PLUS), my intent is to hyperfocus on the wheat production to run the numbers up as high as I can, then start doing the 1:1 trades and leveraging the other fields up en masse.

So a few days ago I started up a tribe of Teutons on s4.travian.com to get a better feel for combat. My newb protection expired this morning (the length on that server was only three days) and I got raided by a stronger player (I had been doing some raids of my own against unihabited villages, so my own troops were away at the time, thankfully). I think this is probably a fair assessment of the kind of attacks we might be running into.
