Instead of slobbering over the multitude of drool-inducing items on the menu, Shuura instead looked carefully at how the menus were being placed on the table. Right. Open the menu for the customer and throw in an extra bow or curtsy while you explain and before you leave. She resisted the urge to snort. It's like waiting on royalty or something. She had to admit though, being on the receiving end of it did feel rather nice. No wonder all those loser bachelors all swarmed this place like no other.
All in all, with the exception of the uniforms, the cafe run pretty much like any other restaurant when it came to seating and the table place settings. Now to see if the order-taking process was largely the same as well.
Holding back a disgruntled sigh for the fourth or fifth time this day, Shuura reached for the button on the side of the table and pressed it. Sitting back, she waited for Natsuki to come back and resume their fancy "training". She had a sneaking suspicion that this wasn't what the manager usually did right off the bat for a regular trainee on their first day, but what could you do. At least Natsuki wasn't asking her to perform circus tricks.
While perhaps not the best at things such as this sort of submissive "role-play" or say, being polite and studious, Shuura was exceptionally sharp when it came to observing people. Oh yes, she noticed things--she just didn't care enough to give an appropriate reaction most of the time. Natsuki, she noted, exhibited an extraordinary amount of tolerance and interest when it came to Vyn. Watching the Shadow Raevan move gradually closer to the booth Shuura was sitting at as the Frei slowly watered around all the flower arrangements, Shuura made a mental note to engage Natsuki in some conversation around the strange creatures before today's training was over; surely it would help cement her value as a potential employee and coworker.

Natsuki watched Shuura with interest. She was curious to know how hard the teen wanted the school credit versus actually having a genuine interest in cafe opperations. Her office file cabinet was overflowing with girls wanting to work at Cafe Jubilee, primarily because the money and fringe benefits made the extra bit of effort worth it. However, the candidates lacked the two things Natsuki required of her staff: determination and individuality. Sure many of the girls were beautiful, but they were either more concerned with being sexually harassed or being made to *gasp* wash dishes. Both were occupational hazards, but not limited only to the one cafe.
Interestingly enough, as Vyn circulated around the flowers, they seemed to perk up and blossom wider and fuller than before. Natsuki smiled, feeling a slight bit guilty by distracting the young Frei with such a menial chore. However, to the owner, it seemed a perfectly natural task for Vyn, allowing her to be aloof and undisturbed by the other patrons.
At the sound of the chime, Natsuki briskly returned from behind the bar, fully prepared for Shuura's worst, "What would you like to order?" Natsuki said, taking her digital tablet from her apron. With a tap of her stylus, the color screen illuminated.
Unlike many of the girls who would shy away from eye contact or flirt shamelessly to yield extra tips, Natsuki simply waited, politely maintaining eye contact without staring. Though to some, it would appear that she was looking over her glasses and down her nose at the customers, but again, it was part of her "character image" as the "older sister/manager type". Her actions were neither forced nor mechanical: just simply natural.
