Mara nodded. Most of them didn't, but she supposed once they had experience they were shoved into the life of researchers. She often pondered over whose life was more difficult and most of the time found that hers was rather easy. Life was, for the most part, good.
She nodded in agreement. Mara hadn't known they'd gone through interviews. That sounded like some sort of painful test. She was glad she wasn't tested to see if she was a good enough 'specimen'.
"You'll do great," she assured the other, though she didn't believe her own success was quite so certain.
"College?" she inquired. They had no such places here and she'd been in that tube for so long, the turns of the world had not reached her ears.

“You think?” Emily spoke with a giggle and a skip in her step at the compliment. “I hope you’re right!” However the steady walking came to a halt at the question of college.
“College?” She repeated the question. “You don’t know what it is? …well…its like—school. For older people. Its where you go after college and train for your future job!” Yeah, that sounded good!

Mara nodded insistently. If there was one thing she was sure about, it was the success of others. Everyone was wholy good in the world, afterall, some of their choices might be confusing, but they were good.
It took her a few moments after to stop as well, brain not firing at a correct rate. There was just too much to take in, too much on her mind.
She vaguely wondered if she had a future 'job' anywhere.
"We have school here," she explained, though she'd never attended herself. Perhaps she could enroll in a few classess, if only to understand better.

Emily visibly bubbled at the prospect of the girl before her believing that she would make it. It was more then just a relief to her. It was more like a push of motivation. Now she had to be sure she didn’t contradict the other’s predication. She had to succeed with her new job. Simple as that.
She watched as Mara kept walking, before eventually she came to a stop. Giggling Emily couldn’t help but wonder what was on her mind, but didn’t bother to voice the question.
“You have a school here?” She asked when at last Mara had spoken the statement. “Do you go? Is it for Botany?” Although she was already enrolled in a school (which was truthfully the reason she was working here in the first place) she couldn’t help but wonder if there were any extra classes she could take while working here. After all; if she decided to make this the sight of her career wouldn’t it be nice to have taken classes right there?
“Where is it do you know?” Was the final question she added to the string of aforementioned ponderings.

Mara smiled lightly and shook her head. "No, I don't go, perhaps I should?" She scanned the halls with her watchful eyes, as if expecting something to go horribly wrong at any second.
"I'm not sure what its for, a lot has changed since. . ." she chose not to delve into it then. It was better not to taint the minds of the innocent with the darkness of her own past.
"I'm not positive as to its location, but you're welcome to find it with me?" After they found that boiler room of course. She gave another look at the map and shook her head. Someday she'd pressure Elizabeth to teach her.
