Tope looked at her oddly, because he had never felt hate towards anyone but his father and... he did not ever want to hurt him even though he had. He wondered what it was like to feel the pain of having his mother die... because of a whole clan. He shook his head, a nervous smile on his face. I dunno what it is like to have that kind of a plan for my future. He said quietly, walking with her at his side. He was tempted to take Jini back to his mother, so he could have a mother as good as his was... but the fact that he would have to face Umo... made him uneasy. So, he just kept that thought in his mind.
In fact, tope did not know alot about the Firekin clan. He only knew the swampland pride and that the prideland pride was nice... but he knew no others. He felt sort of dumb... like he had been secluded from the worlds terrors. I don't know who the Firekin are Jini... Let alone do I think I can teach anyone anything. I am to young to fight any adults.
He looked too her with a chuckle. When I get older... like my father... I may be able too... but... I don't feel the same anger and rage about them-as you do.

"It's okay Tope. I don't expect you to fight my battles. I wouldn't want to lose you too. I don't know what I'd do if you were taken from me. It just feels like I've known you forever. You know? I'd be devastated if you went. So stay close and stay away from harm, okay?" When she thought about vengeance her strength seemed to increase somewhat. She could do it. She could show those firekin what she could do.
"I don't know much about them, except that they're bright red and live in the desert. They treat outsiders like dirt." She hissed. "I'll show them they can't underestimate us. It'll serve them right."
She kicked at a pebble, lost her balance and fell. "Oof." She looked up sheepishly then and grinned. "Whoopsie~" Pulling herself to her paws she shook the dirt from her whiskers and huffed.
"But I'll need a lot of training before I'm strong enough to teach them a lesson." She pointed a paw toward the horizon. "Home isn't too far now."

Tope, watched his beloved Jini and imagined what it was like to not have a mother-like she did. The thought of some strangers killing his mother-made him feel furious. Who would want to kill a mother... He shook his head-someone as sweet as Jini was-must have meant her mother was that way too. So-why? Why would someone do that to someone else. It didn't make sense to him. I don't want you to fight either. He said softly, looking down. The thought of him loosing her-was unthinkable and it made his heart hurt. He shook his head, looking too her. I don't want to lose you either He padded beside her, looking around. He really didn't recognize this place... He sighed. Hey, I don't ever hear about your Father... He said-also quietly. He didn't know if it would be a soft subject for her.
He didn't like the sounds of those firekin and he really dind't have a desire to ever see them. If they killed othersThey sound horrid.
He rushed too her side, looking down at her worried like when she fell. He danced back and forth on his paws, his gloved one reaching down to prod her. You okay? I think... we have a long way to go before 'any of us' can do anything about any adults

She buffeted the top of her head up under his chin, purring. "Yes, yes. You're right." She knew she would have to wait a great deal longer before she could face the Firekin. Yes, for now she'd push them aside and think on other topics. But did it have to be her father?
"I never knew my father." She replied. "All I know was that mother loved him very much. I can guess his colouring from me and my siblings but really. I don't think I'd recognise him." Though perhaps her sense of smell would reveal him to her.
"Anyway, he hasn't come looking for us yet so I doubt he cares." She kicked the dirt. "Come on! We're almost there! I'll race yah!"
And she took off, trying her best to ignore the pain in her legs. They were almost home!
(( Two of Jini's siblings are going to be RPed, so if I set up the next RP with them you can have Tope join <3 I'll send you a link when it's done. ))

((Okay... I would seriously love that. ^^))
Tope smiled, enjoying the feel of her under his chin. The feel of her... he loved every thing about her. HE purred his happiness, giving her a lick on the forehead quickly before he spoke to her-in her ear. Well, your father should see how beautiful you are... It's a shame that I won't be able to meet him... He helped make you so amazingly beautiful He nuzzled, against her-sort of embarrassed that he had said that too her.
Race? He looked at her curiously, for he knew that it would cause her pain... but she seemed happy to go for a run... a race... So, he braced his front paws on the ground, his butt in the air and wagged it. I suppose... But If I beat you... don't cry okay?' He said, teasingly. He was about to start off but she was already ahead of him. He made it a point to not get infront of her. I am nervous...

The Khaki lioness had waited until her mate had fallen asleep before she had slipped away back to the spot where her Umo had faught with her eldest son, her paws were light upont he ground as she padded through the long grass searching for a flash of chocolatey brown fur and pink eyes. She had to know he was okay, she couldn't see him lost without saying good bye, she couldn't sufer that heart ache again. Her eldest daughter, she had never gotten to say goodbye and now she did not know where she had gone, she refused to let the same fate befall Tope. It wasn't long before she caught her sons scent and she followed it swiftly, soft pink eyes, eyes that were mirrord by her soins, searching for that one glimpse of fur.
It was infact a surprise when the khaki lioness realised that there was a second scent and here and there a second set of foot prints. It seemed her little Tope had found himself a companion. She wondered then if he hadn't planned this runaway, how strange that he should come here and find someone willing to walk beside him.
Her nose tilted to the air and she stiffled a giggle. It was a girl, he had found himself a female to travel with. She smiled softly then and continued to walk catching sight at last of the two young behinds as they ran off in their race. Her tail lashed behind her, should she interrupt this play time? She wanted so dearly just to say goodbye to her son. Deciding to continue following the pink eyed femme padded slowly behind them never loosing sight of the racing youngsters. She had to say good bye.

"Well wherever my father is, he doesn't care about me." She flicked her tail and felt her face heat with embarrasment. "I got my mother's good looks." She insisted, and in a way she had. Her face markings had come from her mother. In fact all she had aquired from Zenoni was the browns in her fur.
And the colour of her eyes.
"You'll be the one crying Tope!" She called, dashing as fast as her legs would take her. Yes it hurt. Yes she tired easily. But the thrill of the run was too much for her. She breathed in that air, filled her lungs with it and continued as fast as she could.
"Keeping up?" She called out.

Tope followed after her, a thrilled grin across his face. There was such a light around Jini-a confidance that he wished he had. That, and despite the fact she had her limp-her smooth movements lulled his need to be manly and he wanted to snuggle her into a bed of leaves and keep her warm all night... and... He shook his head-surprised at his thoughts. He bounded behind her, looking around. He had never been this way before it made him nervous... Really nervous.
What if her family didn't like him? And something inside him-wanted him to go back... and be sorry. But these were his demon days-his teen years... and he was not going to tolerate Jini going alone on her journey. He smirked at her comment. Only from laughter my dear! He said with a laugh, tempted to run ahead of her and then in a million circles around her... but he simply bounded and leapt-more than ran. He bounded in a circle, until he caught sight of something... that made him stop dead in his tracks.
Mom!?! Tope stood staring-not sure what to do... but he had enough sense to turn and shout to Jini before she got too ahead. Jini! Wait a minute! He turned back too where he could barely see his mother... and cocked his head. Was father with her? Mom!? He shouted. Oh no.... how was he going to look her in the eye... would she be angry... scared... furious... would she make him come home?

The Khaki lioness smiled as she watched her chocolate brown son stop and call her name, mom, she loved that word it wasa big part of her life. Padding swiftly towards him she said not a word though she glanced at the bounding shape of the female whom was ahead of her eldest son. "Tope" She whisperd simply kissing his cheek, her pale pastel pink eyes staring in to their reflection. Tope had inherited her eyes and his fathers colours he was a beautiful mixture of them both.
The ex swamp liones sknew better than to shout or yell or even speak of what Tope had done to his father. She wasn't angry at him really, he had done what he thought was necessary to escape and like his older sister before him, had left her over protective wing to find his own place in the world.
"I couldn't let you leave without saying good bye." She said simply a weak smile crossing her lips, one of worry, one of love, she always feared for her cubs, she still feared for Kinamasi, wondered where she was in the world. Tope though, he was a male, strong like his father, did that mean she would worry less? No, it was foolish to think that. "You'll come back and visit us won't you Tope?" she puurrs. "You must bring your friend with you." She looked past her son then at Jini, a secret smile crossing her lips, she knew a love match when she saw one, Tope was clearly smitten with this girl. That was good, she would look after her baby, she hoped.

His mother? She slowed to a halt and turned on her paws to face the female. She was too far away now to clearly hear what was being said, though she could see that they spoke. Her mother. If her mother was still alvie Jini never would have left her. It must have been hard for Tope, she imagined, to leave his own.
She didn't feel right butting in and stood still, watching them with her own pink eyes.
Was this farewell between them one that would last forever? She doubted it. But even though she could not hear the adult lionesses' thoughts, Jini knew she would care for Tope. Then, as if watching them was an intrusion in itself, she turned her head away and glanced out to the horizon, waiting patiently for Tope to rejoin her.

Tope stared at his mothers kind face, her eyes glittering into his. He had always known his mother for her kindness, her gentle ways, her love. He never knew anything else and never wanted to. In his heart, he knew that saying goodbye would make it easier on her to cope... she had lost Kinamasi so quickly and without any assurance of returning. He looked down at his paws and his mothers.
He knew under these circumstances-he would not have left... but... Jini-his lovely Jini.... he turned to look at her form in the distance and then back too his mother. He smiled. Aww. Mom. He said, rubbing his foot into the ground. He didn't want to say goodbye to his Mom and Dad or his siblings-but... he wanted to. Of course I'll come back Momma. I'll come back and I'll bring Jini too... Her name is Jini Mom He said rather rushed like.
He rubbed on his mother face for a moment, taking in her smell. I'll come back I promise Mom. Just... you ad dad take care of yourselves and... don't go anywhere... I'll come back mom.
I swear. He said, nodding frantically. He then, turned and looked too JIni-his feet stamping anxiously. He turned too his mother and pressed himself against his mother one last time-for a good while. He rubbed his cheek against her and then, turned. "I gotta go... Bye bye mom... I will think of you all the time! He said in a rush and then began to head towards his future mate.

The khaki lioness wanted to say so much more to her muddy coloured son, she wanted to ask himto return home with her, she knew that Umop would forgive Tope, she had forgiven him after all.
Holding back her tears the pink eyed femme gave a nod and a gentle smile. "Take care of yourself my Tope" She puurrs wathcing him retreat to his female. She smiled, he seemed so happy to be with her. That at least was some conselation for loosing her son.
A slow sigh rolled over her lips as she turned and padded back the way she had come. "Good bye" She whispers, her voice as soft as the passing breeze. As her paws took her away from her eldest son she let a tear roll down her cheek. She hated to see them go, they were after all her babies, they always would bebut the promise that he would return one day lightened her heart, even if the fear of the outside world made her worry about him, more than was really sensible. At least her baby boy wasn't alone in the world.

"Tope..." She watched as he drew towards her and as his mother turned away. Part of her felt as if she should check to make sure this was really what he wanted to do. But there was a little selfishness in her that didn't want to. That didn't want to risk him turning back. So she kept her mouth shut, nuzzling his cheek as he drew near.
"Come on Tope, let's go home."
They were both growing, both bigger than when they had first met, and if fate held out, they'd stay together for a much longer time to come.
"Your mother seemed nice." She mumured as she continued onwards, to the home that didn't really feel home anymore. Something was itching at her paws now. The urge to travel, the urge to discover.

Tope neared Jini and wondered-if this was what he really wanted to do. After all-this could be a dangerous thing-meeting with Jini's past and present enemies... if they even got that far. But, something in her eyes, those pink eyes almost similar too his mothers and father-were so soft and warm. He knew he could never abandon her. So he stepped up beside her and welcomed her touch-nodding.
He knew that she was strong and that he too would gain her strength. He inside, wished he was as strong as her-even though she limped... even though the world around them seemed so distant and yet to close at the same time. He didn't know if her home would be his-he really didn't have a set home... swamplands-then pridelands... he wasn't sure how many more places he'd have to travel before he found home.
Truth was, the Kusini was his fathers home at one point. Umo had been friends with Asi-their once king-and had left to live with his mother-Kikawaida... and to have their children there. So in reality, the kusini could be home-and there was pretty much a big assurance that there would be only one person who may recognize the twisted and odd markings upon Tope's back, and that was Asi. Still, Tope did not know this and walked with confidance-along side the female he loved. My mother is very nice... but lets go home-eh?He said with a smile, before following her lead-and heading too her home.
