I used to be part of a live steel combat group.
We had ranks and titles to show our skills and weapon mastery, just like Judo has White Belts, Blue Belts, Green Belts and Black Belts to name a few. We had our own ranking structure.
My rank was Lord, meaning I have proficency with over five but under seven different types of 13th Century European weapons. (Cudgels, Sword between 3 and 5 feet long, Sword greater than 5 feet, Halberds, Daggers(swords shorter than 2 feet) and axes)
Not to be confused as a LARPer, these weapons are real, honest to goodness made of steel, put that thing away before you get us all killed, weapons.
The Neuf part came from Military School. We would go on out of country excursions to europe and asia, and believe it or not, Americans are not all well loved around the world. So my school had a security method, make all the students pretend they're canadian.
I decided to go with a Newfoundlander, as I could do a Newphie accent.
When we got back to the states everyone still refered to me as a Newphie. Which eventually became Neuf.
And no... I'm not involved with the live steel fighter guild anymore, I'm old and no longer have the stamina to compete.

For those interested in buying swords I'll tell you what's good for swinging around and what's only good for hanging on the wall (yes the one posted is a wallhanger) Email me for more info. As outside the picture I don't see much relation between european broadsword technique and judiasm

Well still, this is a thread about where people get their name from.
If someone wants to open a sword-technique thread here they can, or they can just send me a PM.

It's a bit complicated...
H.P. Lovecraft was an American horror writer whose works often involved sanity-bending experiences with incomprehensible, evil beings from beyond the stars.
Isn't that what a girlfriend is, when you think about it?
I also like the idea of tentacle kisses.

Interestingly enough, mine came from a randomly generated name in a text RPG that I used to play, and I happened to really like it. It also turns out, that in every video game and other thing that I used it as a username, it was never taken, and I've had it for about a year and a half and it stuck with me.

My boyfriend always says "Jesus N' Macaroni" as an exclamation when he is excited, and when I tried to change my name to that, it didnt work, so I rearranged it to what you see now x3

Kingpinsqeezels is a character I made when I first started Gaia. He's the squirrel that controls all organized crime in Central Park. I must have been strung out on Pepsi when I thought it out...

Haha, it confuses a lot of people, just like my AIM screen name, which is xxImSkeetCorexx. My dogs name is Skeeter, and when all that lame stuff about being HardxCore went around, I thought it would be silly to poke fun at it. xp

My username has cherry in it (I love cherries, and I love the color red), and my real last name starts with a B. So, it's a different way of spelling Cherry B. 3nodding
