I played flute before trumpet. I've never officially played a reed instrument though.

It's very easy to get light-headed when you play flute.

you can get light headed when playing the flute easy but it all depends on how do you maintain your breathing i marched with my flute been in piades with my flute concerts ect and i don't get light headed at all but when i first started i did on the account that i hyperventalated on my flute a couple times lol

i don't get light headed from my flute anymore but then again i have marched with my flute been in perades with my flute plus concerts i can understand at the begining when you first start to learn the flute you will get a bit lightheaded on the account that you'll have to learn how to breath a certain way.

Yea it takes away to get use to, I think I was about half way through 4th grade when I finally adjusted to constint playing. So after that I was able to go through an hour concert like nothing.

it took me about half a year to get comfortable with it and then scence thenit seems like i can play forever 4laugh

Yea that was with me and guitar. It took like a year and half to get the hand eye coordination real down so that my fingers will play what I tell them
