Y'know, your siggy reminds me of one of the first Beyblade fanfics I read. The title was "The Task of Leadership" (on ff.net)...and a few chapters later, I was lookin' at a KaixRei fic...
I didn't like it that Kai was OOC in one chapter. Somehow, Boris had broken one of his hands (or both), so he couldn't launch a blade. Thing is, he needed to in order to create enough of a distraction for him and the rest of Team BBA to escape the Abbey. And then Rei gets up behind him (ZOMG, the mental images! eek ) and tells Kai "I'll help you,", then laces his fingers with Kai's on the launcher and on the ripcord. And here I thought 'Okay, Kai accepts help. How OOC...' , but that wasn't the end of it. Hiwatari makes it worse by saying "I...I can't...it hurts too much...I'm scared..." burning_eyes GAAAAAH!
I haven't read any of that authoress's works ever since.

gah I hate OOC Kai >.< I hate it when he's overly depressed aswell and is like suicidal...
I just always think Kai wouldn't let life beat him like that :3

Yup, hate OOC Kai, too. But I have to admit, I made him quite OOC in my first full-blown Beyblade fanfic titled 'Once in the Future'. xp Cheesy title, too. (What is wrong with me?). There are hints of KaixHil (and a scene of them at the very end xd ). And while I'm proud of having finally finished a fic, I'm...not happy with how I made Kai act.
And that's not the only fic with an OOC Kai. I've another fic titled 'Zutto Hitori Janai' (Never Alone)...with almost everyone OOC! burning_eyes But I've good cause for this one: it's based on a friend's [very sad] experiences when she was younger and before she left Davao for college (no idea where she ended up; she hasn't replied to my emails). Don't worry, she gave me permission to 'use' her; she even gave me her old diary so I could 'understand her character better'. She also asked that I use anime characters instead of made-up ones; that's why it's on ff.net.

Dunno what half-term means xd but, okay...if you're absolutely sure you wanna do that... sweatdrop You'll probably be disappointed 'cause there isn't any KaixRei and stuff like that. I'm still working my way up to that level where I can actually get a guy together with...another guy. rofl

What are your opinions on Kai's hair color? Does he look better with cobalt hair and light slate-blue bangs? Or black hair with slate gray bangs? Personally, I use a subtle mix of the two: black hair with deep slate-blue bangs. 3nodding

xd Only kidding, guys; those are your opinions, anyway, just wanted to hear them. While for me black hair is fine - only fine! - it won't work if he's got grayish bangs, ne?
At least his hair isn't really gray in the 2nd and 3rd seasons; it's just...slate, which is, according to Zii-san, is 'a desaturated blue with a hint of green thrown in'. xd Imagine that: a kid going gray in his teens. =P

O_O I'd hate to go grey at this age...
My friends never watched beyblade before and she was beta reading a fic for me and was like "Why has that kid got grey hair at his age??"
and I was like sweatdrop

rofl I know how that feels. I was coloring a Kai pic once when my mom came in and looked over my shoulder. Suddenly she asks how old 'that boy' is, and I say 15, to which she replies, "Ba't parang tumatanda na siya (So why does it seem like he's growing old already)?" I was just "Uh..." xd
