Jazz shook her head as she placed her hands on her hips. "Yes, he did, but that was because you were already beating him up, plus he didn't mean to. Why do you pick on him so much?" Jazz just didn't understand and wanted to.
"I'll let you both down if you tell me you will not hurt each other. With you body or words. Being called a baby isn't nice either. You should love each other. My son never really saw his brother." Jazz tried to reason, though even she knew they were children and this would most likly not work.

Re didn't believe this old hag for a minute. He crossed his arms and stuck his tongue out at her. AS far as he was concerned he would stay up there all day and never apologize.
"I'm not going to apologize to that baby!" he retorted.
Ausar nodded his head vigorously trying to communicate to her that he agreed. He just wanted down and he would never hurt his brother again, even on accident. It was uncomfortable being reprimanded for something that he hadn't done. In fact tears were streaming down his face as he grew more and more flustered
"Please!" He pleaded, growing fidgety.
"You kicked me! You shouldn't be let down!" he complained, trying to lunge out at his brother.
He was even more frustrated now that his brother was crying. It wasn't fair! Ausar had kicked HIM and he was getting in trouble. He never got in trouble!

Jazz set Ausar down. She knew very well he hadn't met it. Plus he looked sad and she had just gotten him happier a moment ago. She shook her head as she turned to Re.
"Well, it was a misunderstanding, but you were hurting him first. It's just how we fight back. Still, I can't keep you up here forever. I doubt it will do anything." Jazz told Re as she began to put him down as well. "Still, you hurt you brother you know what will happen." She lifted him for a moment then put him back. It was just a warning.

Ausar wiped his eyes as he was let down from the sky. The height had been terrible and the taunting worse. He was sure Jazz was mad at him now though; he didn't want to look at her he was so afraid. Usually Mouse would punish him for hurting his brother and he didn't want to get in trouble here too.
The thought upset him and he sniffled as he tried hard not to cry.
He was anxious to get down and as soon as the old hag put him on the ground, Re took off. Well, not before kicking sand in Ausar's general direction and sticking his tongue out at the hag. Honestly, who did she think she was?
With Re gone, Ausar let out a heart-wrenching sob. He didn't want to get in trouble for something he didn't mean to do and he didn't want Jazz not to like him. It was all too much to handle for the small and upset pae.
"Didn't mean!" he tried to explain. "Just want like me."

Jazz leaned down to where she could look at the child in the face, after the other ran off. "It's okay. I know you didn't." She whipped a tear away. "Hush little baby don't say a word mama's going to buy you a mocking bird." Jazz sang for him to cheer up.

Ausar was still very upset but his nerves calmed some when she began singing. Slowly the tears stopped flowing and the sniffles began to stop. All too soon his eyes were closing as he found himself becoming so calm that he was about to fall asleep.
"Pretty..." he murmured, forgetting about what had happened earlier. "Ausar like."

Jazz smiled. "That's better. Now, should I take you home? Or is there somewhere you want to go?" She didn't want him to run into his brother again, at least not while he seemed calm. It would better for him to not be worsened by Re.

Ausar smiled really big for the first time in his life. It was nice to have someone who was kind and understood him. Not knowing what else to do he reached forward and grabbed on to her, giving her a hug.
Suddenly his tummy gave a rumble, "Hungry!"

Jazz giggled and huged the child back. "There you are." She smiled as she was happy that he now seemed happy.
"Hungry? Well, I can take you to my hut. I've got food from Hula Bob's there. It's on the beach." Jazz then stood up. It wasn't too far from there.
((If you didn't see I will be at my grandma's fromm Sat-Mon and won't be able to reply until I get back.))

The beach? Ausar had never been there before. Mousie never took them to the ocean and auntie Fre was afraid for Arlie so there was never much traveling or trips. He gave a big smile and nodded his head.
"Okay!" he exclaimed, getting to his feet.
As they set out her began to wonder what the beach was going to be like. Was a beach something with lots of rocks or snow? Would it be fun? What about the water? So many questions were swimming in his head that he thought it would explode if he didn't ask.
"Beach, cold or warm? Hula Bob nice too?"

Jazz walked slowly and smiled down at him. "Well, the beach is nice and warm. The lake water is more on the cool side. Still, it is very nice to swim in on a hot day. I like to watch the lake from the bar's roof." She smiled again as she got closer to the beach.
"There it is. The purple hut over there." She said as they got very close to the beach and her home.

"Pretty!" he exclaimed as he ran over to the hut.
The sand warmed the bottoms of his feet and Ausar grinned to himself. Why hadn't he found this place before? It sure seemed very peaceful and very pretty; it would be his little secret now and he'd have to be careful not to lead his brother here. His grin broadened into a smile as he ran up to the front door.
"Jazz house?" he asked curiously as he waited for her to catch up.

Jazz followed Ausar over to her door. "Yep, this is my house. Let's see what kind of food I've got." She giggled and opened the door. It was full of purple rock star stuff. Just like she liked her.
Jazz went into the kitchen to see what there was. Lots of Hula Bob left overs. She and her son Rain ate there often and brought it all home.
